Chapter Thirty-Six: Tier 5
Atlas opened his eyes and was instantly forced to shield his face from the suddenly bright light that was all around him. In his mindscape, there was no light, and now, it was everywhere. He closed his eyes and basked in the warmth of the sun, enjoying the feeling for a few seconds before slowly opening his eyes.
He took in a deep breath as he looked over the green hills and the trees scattered every so often, as well as the city far in the distance. When he had drunk his fill of the beautiful landscape, he opened his notifications.
Level Up!
You have the achievement level required to advance to tier 5! Would you like to advance? (You may always advance your tier later, but until then, you can not advance any of your skills or your level.) Y/N
Atlas selected Yes.
Light erupted from within him, filling him with such euphoria that he fell over, eyes wide as he experienced the most pleasurable experience in his life. He lay panting on the ground with his eyes opened wider than he would have thought possible.
Both your Class and Subclass are Upgraded. This upgrade is based solely on your experiences and will not be chosen by you.
Juggernaut (Epic) -> Behemoth (Legendary)
Behemoth (Legendary): You are an extremely powerful warrior who specializes in physical stats, mainly offence, dominating everything in your path with your immense stats and skills. +15 to Con and End. +25 to Str and Dex.
Skill Builder (Epic) -> Skill Architect (Legendary)
Skill Architect (Legendary): You have embraced the study of the very nature of skills, but shunned almost everything that makes up spells. You can no longer cast any sort of magic but you can still use mana skills that have a non magic element (For example: Fire Punch). +24 Free Stats. Skill Nexuses are like clay beneath your hands and you can shape and alter them in a multitude of ways, other than deleting an aspect of the skill completely.
Atlas was happy to finally get his classes to rank up, but it was also a little annoying because he had just upgraded his classes recently. He shrugged it off, consoling himself with the fact that he was at least getting it before he was able to level up a bunch again, so he would get better bonuses in the long run.
Oh? You're finally done? Took you long enough, but then again, a month is actually pretty fast considering all the changes you made to yourself.
Atlas jolted at the sound of Chan voice -which was technically just an older version of his voice- and he looked around before just laying back down.
Then what Chan had said registered and he leapt up again. "Wait! You're telling me that it took me a month to do that!?!" he exclaimed in shock.
Yeah, but luckily for you, when you're in the mindscape, your body becomes incorporeal and you don't require anything to survive. You are probably really hungry, but that is about it. What you need to do is go buy a nice meal for yourself and fully go over all the changes that you have just gained. After you do that, you should go test your new power. You will be a good deal stronger than you were before, but it also looks like you also have far less versatility than you used to. Once you're used to your power, we can talk about Aura.
With that, Chan went silent, and Atlas got the feeling that he wasn't going to get much more out of the guy until Atlas did everything Chan had asked of him.
Atlas decided to not look at any of his skills and simply ran back to the city, his legs carrying him so fast that the trees began to blur together, causing Atlas to struggle to avoid all the branches that were whipping him in the face. They didn't hurt, but they definitely were annoying, and a couple of them even managed to do a couple points of damage to him, causing his Life Force to dip down as it healed the broken skin.
A now very annoyed Atlas finally found himself at the gate of the guards and showed his adventuring bracelet to them before walking inside, not noticing the looks of confusion at his state of dress.
Unknown to Atlas, he was wearing only boxer briefs and a tanktop. He wasn't breaking any laws, but people definitely avoided him, not wanting to be next to someone in such a state of undress.
He found his way to the guild hall and ordered himself some food, this time noticing the bartender's raised eyebrow. "What?" he asked the huge man incredulously.
"What happened to your suit?" The bartender asked, as he obviously fought off a grin.

Atlas glanced down before drooping, remembering that he soulbound items had been broken, and he still didn't know how to get them back.
Atlas rubbed the back of his head. "I, uh, I lost them." He muttered sheepishly.
The bartender just shook his head with amusement before handing Atlas his food.
Atlas scampered off to a table and took a bite, before his stomach growled with hunger and he scarfed down the soup, returning to the bartender for seconds, and even thirds before becoming contented. He burped before bringing up all his skills.
Skillborn Core (Ascendent, Y): You have turned the weak and guttering candle within you to a powerful and eternal flame that can exert itself on the world around you. Makes all Will-based Skills and Spells work twice as well. Your mind cannot be attacked without an extreme effort of will. You gain 10 points in Intelligence and Wisdom for each level you gain, and 100 for every tier up. Once per day, you can take control of the area within 100 feet of you, shaping it with your will and controlling everything that happens for 30 seconds. This effect can be stopped if someone manages to overpower your will on the area in a similar way.
Voidborn Archdragon (Transcendent, Y): You are always wearing spectral dragon armor, but it can change between 6 forms. For all forms besides form one, you gain skill exp 10 times faster.
Form One: Base Form. ALL exp is gained 20 times faster. Armor is transparent, you have no wings, and is only at 50% defence.
Form Two: Onslaught Form. Your maximum speed while being in this form is 50 times your dexterity. You can choose your speed and your armor is streamlined so you don't take damage from going too fast. Your maximum strength while being in this form is 50 times your strength. Your strength can not be altered in this form and is always the maximum. Strength is generated from the armor itself so you don't take damage from using full strength. ALL of PHYSICAL damage is absorbed into your armor, increasing its effectiveness by 1% (Maximum 50%).. Armor is sleek and thin with thicker plates around crucial areas (Head, Chest, Fists), wings can be used to fly. Only 25% defence.
Form Four: Refuge Form. Your Maximum Life Force while being in this form is multiplied by 5. Your recovery speed for all resources is multiplied by 5. Half of ALL damage is reflected back at the attacker. Armor is transparent but wings aren't transparent.ALL damage (even if you don't take any but your armor does) is absorbed into your armor, increasing its effectiveness by 1% (Maximum 50%). Armor is bulky and dense, considerably slowing you down. And wings can only be used to hover. Defence is the full 100%.
Pause Time (Transcendent, Y): Expend mana to make the world slow down drastically, almost to the point of stopping it all together. Every 34 Mana spent gives you 0.01 second. 340 = 0.1, 3400 = 1.0, 34000 = 10.0 etc. Your resources do not regenerate while time is paused.
Divine Sight (Transcendent, ZZZ): You can see what others cannot. Nothing within 1000 feet can trick your eyes, but it becomes more noticeable as you focus on certain spots and actively use Divine Sight. Your eyes naturally notice any weaknesses of your enemies, physical or otherwise. You can flare this Sight to petrify all that you can see for 5 seconds. You become magically blind for one hour after this.
Mind of the Scholarly King (Transcendent, ZZZ): You have an uncanny ability to remember and learn things. You have an almost perfect memory and learn things 10 times as fast. Your mind is unbreakable and your thoughts cannot be read or influenced by any outside influences.
Eternal Skill Sovereign (Transcendent, ZZZ): Skills are your's to command. You have chosen your path Young Sovereign, can you handle the consequences of your actions?
Atlas then noticed a notification that had been hovering at the edge of his vision for a while, he opened it and read its contents with a quizzical expression.
Your connection with Skills, The Void and your new classes has fixed and permanently altered your soulbound items. Each item has developed a personal attachment, causing them to rank up.
There was a bright light that enveloped Atlas, and when it faded, he was wearing a suit that seemed to contain a Galaxy inside of it. It was mostly black, but his bowtie was a sun, and the buttons on his shirt were planets and his belt had asteroids scattered onto it. There was a pin with a golden staff on his chest, and he was now wearing two endlessly black gloves. He glanced down at his shoes and noticed that they were black sneakers with golden laces and a white sole.
He quickly brought up his masterlist and navigated to his soulbound items, bringing them all up in front of them so he could view their specs.
Town Bottle (Mythic, Soulbound [Z]): This Town starts with a natural river, and endless mine with every resource in the realm you are in and all buildings are created instantly and cost a tenth of the normal resources to build. All buildings produce 5 times as much as normal. When you move up a realm, the town is put in a bottle and moves up with you, and all residents are given the option to move up with it or stay on the realm where they are. Expanded options.
Galaxy Suit (Z): This suit cannot be destroyed, and it makes all passive skills 1.5 times stronger while worn. This suit increases the user's willpower by 10 times while worn. This suit is taken with you in the mindscape.
Shifting Staff (Z): This spear shrinks and becomes a pin when unsummoned, attaching itself to the Galaxy Suit. This prevents it from being unable to be summoned. The spear can change its own form at the request of the user. Current forms available for shifting: Staff, Spear, Pike, Javelin, Halbard, Harpoon and Lance.
Void Gloves (Z): Every strike you make steals lifeforce, stamina, and mana equal to your strength and dexterity numbers added together and then halved. The number of resources can exceed your maximum resource limit, to a maximum of 10% over the normal max.
Skillful Sneakers (Z): All movement skills are twice as strong while worn and cause you to make no sound while running. (From your feet, your breathing, and any other sounds you make unintentionally. This does not affect environmental factors such as stepping on a branch or running into a tree.)
Atlas was more than a little impressed. These effects were far better than the last ones had been, and they now synergized with him much more. He was especially eager to test out the sneakers and suit, because he wanted to know if the effects stacked. If his speed was multiplied by 50 with the base skill, would he become 150 times faster? That was simply ridiculous to imagine, so he wanted to do something else.
Test it.
