North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 593

There are only two people inside, and they haven't noticed Jimmy outside. Entering directly through the window would be an ambush, which doesn't fit the FBI's protocol. No matter what, the FBI is openly federated police and must have procedures when operating.

Jimmy glanced at the surrounding houses; it's not too late now, people are still moving about in each home. Because it's a residential area, there aren't many cars on the road, and there's no immediate danger from behind.

Jimmy held his FBI badge in his left hand, a Glock in his right, and knocked on the door.

The people inside hesitated for a moment, looked at each other, one pulled out a handgun, while the other also took out a gun and approached the door.

Jimmy, seeing that the people inside weren't speaking, directly identified himself: "FBI, open up."

The person at the door immediately raised his handgun, while the one behind grabbed Elliot, aiming a gun at the doorway.

Jimmy: "Open the door, I know you're in there."

The person at the door aimed at the door without speaking, turning to signal the person behind. Elliot, though pulled up, wasn't gagged, he shouted directly: "Help! Help!"

The one holding Elliot immediately aimed his gun at Elliot. Jimmy didn't wait, he kicked the door and squatted beside it, then lay on the ground aiming at the door.

This rundown building has a regular wooden door, no bulletproof capability, the walls weren't brick; above the foundational layer, a small section is stone cement, the rest is all wood.

Jimmy usually kicked the door and stayed beside it, but here, being by the door wasn't safe, even squatting wasn't safe.

As Jimmy kicked the door open, the person at the door had already fired at the door, simultaneously retreating, while the man inside holding Elliot also aimed at the door, still holding Elliot in front of him.

Jimmy slightly raised his upper body, bent his knee and dashed toward the doorway, "Bang, bang," two shots, and the guy in front got hit, immediately collapsing to the side; they were only kidnapping, not killing, wouldn't be shot dead immediately.

However, Jimmy completely underestimated their ruthlessness. The second person behind fired at the door after shouting to the fallen person, "Cole, Cole! Are you okay?"

His gun was still aimed at the door, seeing Cole wailing on the ground, blood flowing onto the floor, he shouted outside: "Come out, I have a hostage. Put down your weapon and come out."

While shouting, he shifted the gun barrel toward Elliot's head, meanwhile moving to the side, avoiding the line of fire at the door.

Jimmy saw the person shot twice trembling slightly on the ground, moaning, they seemed no longer a threat. He focused on the man holding Elliot; the man's gun was always pressed to Elliot's head, under such circumstances, a misfire could easily happen.

Jimmy shouted at the door: "Calm down! Calm down!" Then stood up; only one person, obscured by the wall couldn't see him, the opponent probably wouldn't fire randomly.

The man shouted: "Put down your weapon, I have a hostage."

Jimmy: "You are surrounded, release the hostage and surrender, don't let your charges worsen."

The man: "You back off, drop your weapon."

The situation was getting a bit complicated, Jimmy thought about it and decided to eliminate the threat, saving trouble and minimizing changes. He looked at the nearby window, confirmed a plan, took off his jacket, and showed just a little at the doorway, appearing as though confirming the room's situation.

The man was extremely tense and seeing Jimmy "exposed" part of his body, immediately turned the gun barrel toward the door and fired, Jimmy let go of the jacket so it dropped to the ground, he himself moved beside the window.

The man inside seeing the jacket drop, moved slightly toward the doorway, trying to locate Jimmy, maybe also thinking to shoot the person on the ground again; his plan didn't succeed.

Jimmy fired three shots from the window, the first hit his right hand holding the gun, ensuring the handgun fell away, eliminating Elliot's threat. Subsequent shots hit his head and chest; Elliot's height allowed Jimmy to aim clearly at the man's chest.

The man fell, taking Elliot down with him, Elliot, who was previously sobbing, screamed and rolled on the floor, distancing himself from the body on the ground.

Jimmy came to the door and picked up his jacket, dusting it off and putting it on before entering the room, "Elliot Green, stop shouting, you're safe."

Jimmy kicked away the handgun of the still alive guy, handcuffed him, and after a quick pat-down, walked to Elliot's side, helped him up and untied the ropes binding his hands.

Elliot was deeply traumatized, as soon as freed from the ropes, he collapsed onto Jimmy, sobbing intensely. Jimmy could only pat his back, saying: "Elliot, don't cry, you're safe."

Before Elliot could calm down, the sound of sirens came from outside, the flashing lights of police cars visible.

Jimmy: "Okay, the cops are coming, get up."

Jimmy took out his FBI badge and hung it around his neck, then took out his credentials. As the police car stopped nearby, two officers exited aiming their guns at the front door, "Officer Yang Kes, drop the weapon."

Jimmy raised both hands shouting: "FBI, the kidnappers have been subdued."

One officer remained vigilant by the police car, the other moved around to avoid the line of fire before accepting Jimmy's FBI credentials, using a radio to verify with dispatch.
