Night of the Clan Massacre: Leading the Uchiha to Defect from Konoha!

Chapter 65: Cutting the Tailed Beast Bomb with a Sword, and Making the Two-Tails His Pet!

A flash of sword light gleamed.

Kaede's Susanoo slowly sheathed its blade.

The Tailed Beast Bomb suddenly seemed to hit an unbreakable wall, freezing in place before Susanoo.

Before Yugito could even panic—

Crack!

With a sharp sound, the Tailed Beast Bomb split cleanly in two.

As the blinding light faded, the bomb had been completely severed!

The perfectly smooth cut spoke volumes about the speed and power of that strike.

Even the Tailed Beast Bomb, a force akin to a natural disaster, had been sliced apart like tofu.

Boom!

The two halves crashed to the ground, the impact shaking the entire valley.

That single sword strike had not only split the Tailed Beast Bomb, but also completely dispersed its energy.

"This…"

Yugito stared in disbelief.

That was a Tailed Beast Bomb — an attack that could level mountains!

Even if she couldn't defeat Uchiha Kaede, how could it be destroyed so easily?

"Even Lord Three-Tails couldn't do that!"

Involuntarily, she murmured, "I can't beat him… there's no way I can beat him."

"Even if Lord Fourth Raikage came, he couldn't win against this man."

Shaken from her shock, Yugito turned and shouted to the remaining Cloud shinobi:

"Run! Run now!"

She herself prepared to break off and flee in a different direction.

Her cry snapped the stunned Cloud ninjas out of their daze.

In that moment, they no longer cared about the honor of the Hidden Cloud — they scattered like frightened dogs.

Kaede shook his head. "Why do people always think they can escape from me?"

Susanoo opened its palm, and several magatama-shaped orbs formed within it.

"Yasaka Magatama!"

With a swing, nine magatama shot toward the fleeing Cloud shinobi.

Upon hitting the ground—

BOOM!

The explosions engulfed hills and forests alike in an instant.

Three Cloud shinobi were directly obliterated, while the rest were left battered and bloodied.

As the dust settled, nine enormous craters pockmarked the battlefield.

The remaining Cloud ninjas lay sprawled within, their blood pooling at the bottom of the pits.

"Damn it!"

Yugito let out a cry of grief, mourning her fallen comrades.

But she couldn't stop — Kaede was still chasing her!

Fixing his gaze on her retreating figure, Kaede said, "Looks like you're the last one left."

With a single flap of Susanoo's massive wings, he closed the distance to the fleeing Two-Tails at incredible speed.

Inside Yugito's mind, Matatabi's voice roared in panic:

"Yugito, run! He's right behind us!"

But the warning came too late—

Bam!

Susanoo descended from above, shaking the ground as it landed directly before her.

In the next moment, its massive hand wrapped around Yugito's neck.

"As expected, your body in tailed beast form really is tough," Kaede said with a smirk. "So, was it fun?"

Yugito kicked and clawed, but Susanoo slowly lifted her into the air.

"You… bastard… the Hidden Cloud… will never… forgive you!"

Kaede's smile turned playful. "I actually hope the Hidden Cloud sends people to throw their lives away."

Her mind buzzed with fear, but her short tailed beast legs couldn't even reach Susanoo's body.

"Alright, enough playing around — time to settle down."

Susanoo's grip tightened, and Yugito's face twisted in pain.

After a brief struggle, the Two-Tails cloak faded away, and in the blink of an eye she returned to her normal human form — before passing out cold.

Kaede's grin widened. "Now we can begin…"

"Ugh… it hurts…"

Yugito groggily opened her eyes to see grass and half of the blue sky above.

Wait!

Her eyes shot open — she had been in an intense (one-sided) battle just moments ago.

She remembered collapsing in Susanoo's grip from the pain.

Where was Kaede now?

As she tried to get up to assess the situation, a shadow suddenly loomed over her.

Looking up, she saw two enormous hands reaching toward her.

She tried to scramble away, but her body felt strange — sluggish.

That momentary hesitation let those massive hands grab her.

"Yo, little one, you sure can sleep!"

That familiar voice — she looked up and saw Kaede's face.

No… something was wrong.

Why did Kaede look so big?

"Meow?"

She opened her mouth to speak, but what came out was a cat's meow.

"Meow?!"

Eyes wide, she quickly looked herself over—

"Meow meow meow!!" (Bastard, what did you do to me?!)

She was still in her Two-Tails form — but shrunken down drastically.

She looked like… a pet cat.

Kaede, noticing her squirming, tilted his head in surprise.

"Huh? You're not Matatabi? You're actually… Yugito?"

"Meow!" (Bastard!)

While she fumed, Kaede clicked his tongue in amusement.

"Looks like Matatabi isn't as stubborn as he claimed."

During Yugito's unconsciousness, Kaede had spoken with the Two-Tails sealed within her.

When he suggested Matatabi become his pet, the beast had roared in outrage:

"Bastard! I'd rather die here, be trapped in genjutsu forever, than agree to be your pet!"

But after Kaede showed him a certain… disturbing vision, Matatabi had changed his tune instantly:

"Actually, being a pet doesn't sound so bad!"

"Not too hard for you?"

"Not at all!"

"Don't force yourself."

"Not forcing, not forcing!"

As a tailed beast, Matatabi could revive if killed — but if swallowed by the Ten-Tails, it would be gone forever.

Realizing Kaede's true ambitions, Matatabi became obedient in an instant.

But perhaps out of embarrassment, the Two-Tails had taken on the form of a small pet cat and left Yugito's consciousness in control — while sealing her ability to speak, making every word come out as a meow.

"Meow meow meow!!" (Matatabi, you bastard!)

Her struggles intensified as Matatabi had just told her what happened — and then cut off contact entirely.

In shock and fury, Yugito realized she had been made Kaede's pet.

Why would Matatabi betray her like this?

But then she recalled Kaede's overwhelming power, and her future seemed pitch black.

Would she spend the rest of her life as his pet?

She couldn't accept it.

"Enough."

Kaede flicked her forehead, and she instantly quieted down.

In this pet cat form, she could no longer resist — her only advantage was that she was impossible to kill.

With a firm grip, Kaede held her securely in his hand.

"Doesn't matter whose consciousness it is — little kitty, you're coming home with me."
