NOVEL NEXT Chapter 50: The Captured Hokage!
Tsunade didn't say a word.
With a burst of chakra, cracks spread beneath her feet as her figure instantly appeared beside Kaede.
She threw an uppercut straight at his chin, fast enough to create a sonic boom.
Yet Kaede remained completely unharmed.
As if swatting a fly, he casually waved his right hand and sent Tsunade tumbling.
She staggered to the side, and Kaede lifted his leg, slamming his heel into her abdomen.
"Urgh!"
Tsunade spat out a mouthful of blood in pain.
Still, she refused to yield, gritting her teeth and forcing herself to get back up.
"You bastard!"
In midair, Tsunade performed a full split kick, slamming her leg toward Kaede.
Kaede narrowed his eyes. "Even stronger now?"
Instead of blocking it, he used a Body Flicker Technique to instantly appear beside her midair.
Tsunade's pupils shrank. "Damn it!"
Then—
"Down you go!"
With a full-force kick, Kaede launched her to the ground.
Boom!
A human-shaped crater formed as cracks spread out from the impact site.
Kaede landed gently on the ground.
"Your strength keeps increasing. Are you using me as your training dummy to recover your power?"
He chuckled. "And just now, you didn't faint at the sight of blood."
"Looks like you've finally overcome your hemophobia."
Tsunade climbed out of the pit, swaying, glaring furiously at Kaede.
"You're so ruthless! Don't you have any mercy toward women?"
Kaede grinned. "If I went easy on you, I'd be the one paying the price."
He shrugged. "Besides, I haven't used anything except taijutsu."
"Isn't that me being considerate?"
Tsunade placed a trembling hand on her chest, feeling a dent in her ribs.
That last hit had broken her ribs!
"Well then, thanks a lot!"
After a quick self-healing treatment, Tsunade formed a seal with both hands.
"Byakugō Release!"
The diamond-shaped mark on her forehead lit up, revealing the chakra stored within.
"Going all out now?" Kaede raised an eyebrow.
"Then I better finish this quickly. Once you're out of chakra, you won't look so graceful anymore."
With that, he used Body Flicker to appear beside Tsunade and launched a fierce kick.
"So fast!"
Tsunade turned sharply, dodging with her lower body.
Even with her Byakugō activated, she could only see Kaede's afterimage.
She couldn't afford any distractions. She spun and punched at his chest.
Just as Kaede raised his hand to block, her hands glowed with green chakra—
"Chakra Scalpel!"
"Hm?" Sensing danger, Kaede immediately pulled back and dodged.
But she still grazed his wrist.
Kaede frowned. "Tch. Did you sever some nerves in my wrist?"
He jumped back and examined his hand.
Two fingers were already unresponsive.
Dealing with a medical ninja like Tsunade really was troublesome.
One small slip, and she could inflict significant damage.
Tsunade smirked coldly. "Don't underestimate medical shinobi!"
Kaede shrugged. "Don't get me wrong—I was just underestimating you."
The next second, green light glowed from his hands.
In an instant, the severed nerves were fully restored.
Tsunade's eyes widened. "Senjutsu? You…?"
Kaede scoffed. "It's not that hard to learn. I mastered it in a day."
Lately, he'd been studying senjutsu every day.
After all his extreme body evolutions, he had naturally grasped it.
And since medical ninjutsu is considered the most successful Yin Release, he'd studied that too.
In just a couple of days, he had mastered what others needed ten—maybe even decades—to learn!
What can he say? Genius has its perks.
Kaede looked at Tsunade and smiled.
"I was wondering how I'd capture you without injury… and you just gave me the perfect method."
Chakra Scalpel flared from his hands again!
With a flicker, he appeared behind her and slashed at her back.
Not underestimating him, Tsunade leapt up while trying to touch Kaede.
But what she touched the next second turned out to be…
An afterimage.
A clone!
"You won't get me that easily."
Then, Kaede's voice whispered beside her ear just as she landed.
Alarmed, Tsunade instantly summoned chakra for defense. Her protective barrier absorbed most of the damage.
But his strike still connected, and pain flared in her chest.
She pushed Kaede away with all her might.
"Ghh!"
But in the next second, she turned pale and collapsed on the spot.
Even though she'd prepared for this, her chakra couldn't compare to Kaede's.
He was using senjutsu!
Several of her chest meridians had been severed, and her breathing turned ragged…
But now wasn't the time for gentleness!
Tsunade forced herself to move, slamming her fist into the ground.
The impact cracked the surface and flung a giant rock at Kaede.
At the same time, she cast senjutsu, spiking her chakra.
Even though Byakugō could heal her, fighting Kaede required every second.
"Senpō: Heavenly Kick!"
In the blink of an eye, the massive rock beneath Kaede shattered!
Then, the boulder she hurled turned into molten lava from an explosion of fire!
No time for healing—Tsunade quickly jumped back.
Still, her shoulder brushed against a single spark.
Her green jacket caught fire, and she had to tear off half of it to put it out.
…
Tsunade didn't bother replacing it—she simply wore the other half.
Kaede blinked at the sight. "Hm. Quite the spectacular view."
Tsunade ignored his teasing and glared at him.
"You said you'd only use taijutsu. So much for Uchiha honor!"
Kaede laughed. "Don't get the wrong idea. That fire style wasn't aimed at you."
Before she could react, the explosion and screams behind her made her expression change drastically.
She turned.
The area behind her had become a living hell.
Kaede's Fire Release had struck the Konoha forces.
The explosion instantly killed dozens and injured countless others!
Meanwhile, the Uchiha and their allies used the chaos to press the attack, doubling Konoha's casualties.
Kaede was ruthless!
Before Tsunade could even open her mouth to shout, Kaede's voice once again whispered in her ear.
"You can afford to be distracted because you're strong."
"But if I'm distracted, I'd be stupid."
"And being stupid is a good way to get killed!"
Kaede's hand pressed down on the top of her head.
In an instant, senjutsu chakra surged into her body and began wreaking havoc!
One by one, her meridians shattered. Tsunade collapsed, completely losing the ability to fight back.
Before her Byakugō chakra could repair her, Kaede gripped her throat.
"Break!"
Instantly, the Byakugō chakra retreated back into her forehead seal.
Kaede followed up by grabbing her chin.
Forcing her to meet his gaze, he smiled faintly.
"Now you can't heal yourself anymore, can you?"
"Fifth Hokage… you're now my prisoner."
