Chapter 477: Chapter 477: Otsutsuki Ishiki is Dead?!
After sending Black Zetsu away, Reiki's expression grew heavier.
The aura he had sensed on Black Zetsu's body suggested something was wrong—something significant.
"It looks like it's time to start taking action."
Reiki murmured to himself, his thoughts lingering on the mysterious changes in Black Zetsu.
Shaking off the distraction, Reiki refocused his mind and resumed his training.
Over the next few days, the special training camp proceeded according to Hatake Sakumo's plans, with cross-village training in full swing.
Thanks to Konoha's example and the enticing rewards of Reiki's potions, the young ninjas were brimming with energy and determination.
Failures and injuries hardly dampened their spirits.
Even when someone showed signs of discouragement, Reiki would step in, offering not just healing but psychological counseling.
As a result, everyone experienced daily improvements. Feeling themselves grow stronger, they pushed harder, inspired by their progress.
Ten days later, the camp received two unexpected visitors: Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.
In the conference room, Hatake Sakumo stood before the two legends, his body trembling slightly.
Although he'd heard about Hashirama's resurrection, seeing the First Hokage in person was overwhelming.
To the older generation of Konoha's elite, Senju Hashirama was a living myth—a symbol of Konoha's golden era.
"Alright, Uncle Sakumo, let me treat these two first," Reiki said, shaking his head at Sakumo's awestruck expression.
"Please wait outside," he added.
Once Sakumo had left, Reiki approached Hashirama and Madara.
"Okay, enough chit-chat. We both know our bodies' limits," Madara said, a wry smile on his face as he opened his shirt.
The sight was grim.
The wooden constructs made from Wood Release cells had decayed into rotten, blackened timber. Fragments of the material flaked off like sawdust.
Reiki's expression darkened as he examined Madara.
Even without touching him, Reiki could tell that Madara's body was in an irreparable state.
"Don't look so grim, kid," Madara said with a smirk.
"I'm still standing. I've fought alongside Hashirama again. That's more than enough for me.
"Even if I were to pass on to the Pure Land now, I'd have no regrets."
Madara's eyes shone with an unmistakable peace, a stark contrast to his former self.
For him, seeing the Uchiha Clan thrive and letting go of old grudges had brought fulfillment.
"Madara, stop talking nonsense."
"You're not a medical ninja, so shut up and listen to Reiki," Hashirama interjected, rolling his eyes.
Hashirama turned to Reiki, his expression tinged with hope.
He knew firsthand that Reiki's skill as a medical ninja was unparalleled—after all, it was thanks to him that Hashirama was standing here now.
Reiki sighed deeply.
"You two are unbelievable… You've done irreparable damage to your bodies."
"Let's start with an assessment."
Reiki placed his hands on Madara, activating his healing chakra.
What he sensed shocked him even further.
Madara's condition was dire.
His internal organs were failing, and even his chakra pathways were breaking down.
The fact that Madara had managed to return alive was nothing short of miraculous.
Even with vitality potions, there was little hope for a complete recovery.
"Wood Release won't hold much longer. I can only use medicines to alleviate and suppress the internal damage, but full treatment is impossible," Reiki concluded.
"How long does he have?" Hashirama asked quietly.
"Three years at most," Reiki replied grimly.
"And… First Hokage-sama, your body is in a similar condition. You both pushed yourselves too hard in the fight against Otsutsuki Ishiki."
"Hahaha! Three years? I'm happy with that!" Hashirama laughed heartily.
"Boom!"
Madara punched Hashirama on the head, scowling.
"Stop acting like an idiot in front of the younger generation!" Madara barked, his annoyance evident.
"Ah, sorry, sorry," Hashirama said sheepishly, rubbing his head.
"Reiki, just do what you can," Hashirama added earnestly.
"Also, isn't Madara an instructor here? Let me join too! I'd love to help train the next generation!"
Hashirama's enthusiasm was infectious.
"Reiki, is that possible?" Madara asked, intrigued.
"It's fine, but don't overdo it. I'll monitor your condition," Reiki agreed with a sigh.
"By the way, where's Otsutsuki Ishiki's body?" Reiki asked, his tone serious.
Madara frowned slightly.
"Do you mean the leader of the Kara Organization? Cixuan?"
"Yes," Reiki confirmed.
Madara nodded.
"After we killed him, he disintegrated into dust. The space around us became unstable, so we had to leave. Why do you ask? Do you need his ashes or something?"
"No, that won't be necessary," Reiki replied, shaking his head.
Reiki handed Madara and Hashirama several potions, including vitality and recovery potions.
"Take these and pace yourselves. I'll keep checking on you," Reiki said before leaving the room.
Outside, Tsunade was waiting.
"Teacher, the First Hokage is stable for now, but I'm exhausted. I'll head back to rest," Reiki said with a tired smile.
Seeing the crowd of Uchiha clan members waiting anxiously, Reiki knew it was best to leave. His presence would only heighten their concerns.
Back in his quarters, Reiki sat quietly, deep in thought.
"Otsutsuki Ishiki… dead, just like that?"
Reiki's expression wasn't one of relief.
Instead, it was solemn.
Even though Ishiki hadn't fully recovered, it didn't make sense for him to fall so easily.
"This doesn't feel right," Reiki muttered.
Then, he chuckled bitterly to himself.
"I must be overthinking it. After all, both Madara and Hashirama were involved. Of course they'd succeed."
Still, a nagging feeling lingered in his mind.
