Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Salary from the Bottom of the Pot!
Faced with such shameless demands from Shisui and Nozuki, Reiki naturally refused.
With a quick series of seals, Reiki activated his jutsu.
[What fools. They don't even realize I don't need to channel chakra for this. Instant techniques are just my thing.]
"Fire Style: Flame Dragon Technique!"
Reiki unleashed a powerful fire technique, forcing everyone nearby to scatter. They even had to carry away fallen ninjas who could no longer fight.
Once the area was cleared, Reiki calmly picked up a potion and drank it.
Fighting these relentless opponents without potions, the powers of his Surgical Fruit, or sage abilities was simply impossible.
If he wasn't careful, he'd be ambushed again.
"I don't know where they learned these ruthless fighting tactics." Reiki muttered, wincing.
To make matters worse, their preferred target area seemed to always be his midsection.
As soon as Reiki regained his strength and chakra, Shisui attacked again.
This time, his Three-Tomoe Sharingan was activated—he was getting serious.
Nozuki also began preparing a powerful sealing technique, her chakra signature indicating it was no ordinary seal.
Kakashi, healed by Nohara Rin, joined the fray. Obito, ever the hothead, activated his own Sharingan and charged in from the other side.
It was becoming clear this fight was escalating beyond reasonable limits.
"This is too much…" Reiki sighed, raising his hands for another seal.
"Sage Mode: Activate!"
As Reiki activated Sage Mode, cyan chakra enveloped his body, radiating immense energy.
A vertical mark appeared on his forehead, and his pupils transformed into slitted, animalistic irises.
Additionally, the Immortal Curse Mark from his space-time techniques emerged across his face.
"This is… Sage Mode?!"
Shisui's resolve wavered as he stared at Reiki in disbelief.
"You've already mastered Sage Mode? Are you kidding me?"
Shisui's spirit crumbled instantly.
This was supposed to be a training session, yet Reiki had gone all out with Sage Mode.
"How are we supposed to fight that?!"
Shisui groaned, his confidence shattered.
The others were no different.
While they were eager for actual combat training, none of them had signed up for this kind of beating.
"Hey, hey, hey! You're not giving up already, are you?" Reiki shouted.
"My Sage Mode isn't just for decoration! Come on, step up and take your beating!"
With a speed and power boost from Sage Mode, Reiki charged forward.
The others fell one after another under his relentless attacks.
Even Nozuki was knocked unconscious by a clean strike.
"Alright, that's enough for now!" Reiki called out, his tone relaxed.
"Shizune! Come here!"
"Coming!" Shizune appeared by his side in an instant, her expression eager.
[Shizune: Hah, Senior Brother Reiki only ever calls for me...]
"Let's start treating the injuries. But first, look at these guys. What do you think should be done?" Reiki asked.
Shizune nodded seriously, assessing the situation.
"A few of them are seriously injured. I'll prioritize emergency treatment for them first, then wake up the unconscious ones," she replied while beginning her work.
Shizune had been learning directly from Reiki, and her progress was evident.
While not a prodigy, her skill and work ethic had pushed her into a league of her own.
For her age, there were few medical ninjas who could rival her capabilities.
Once the treatment was complete, Shisui glared at Reiki, still looking defiant.
"Next time, no Sage Mode!" he demanded.
"I'll fight you one-on-one, Reiki!"
"Alright, alright," Reiki replied, waving his hand dismissively.
"Now, let's eat something and continue in the afternoon. We're all teammates here—don't be stingy."
"I'll even give you twenty bottles of advanced stamina potions," he added with a grin.
"Twenty bottles?!" Shisui's expression instantly softened.
"Alright, let's eat!"
The promise of potions worked its magic, and the others soon regained their smiles.
Meanwhile, the ninjas watching from the sidelines were stunned.
This wasn't a typical training session.
A medical ninja had beaten the combatants into the ground, and now he was bribing them with potions?
What kind of training was this?
To make things worse, everyone knew that the potions were distributed based on merit. The more impressive your performance, the better the rewards.
For a moment, it seemed that getting beaten up by Reiki was a good deal.
Over the next few days, the actual combat training intensified.
Seeing the results, even ninjas from other villages couldn't resist joining the battles.
By the third day, the entire training camp had transformed into a lively battlefield.
Hatake Sakumo stood on a hill, watching the intense training below with a satisfied smile.
"Reiki turned this whole situation around," he muttered.
For three days, Sakumo had been locked in debates with other village coaches, unable to reach a consensus on the training plan.
Reiki, however, had bypassed the bureaucracy entirely, letting the results speak for themselves.
"See? I told you they'd be fine," Sakumo said to the other instructors.
"The path of a ninja isn't one walked in comfort and protection."
With that, he turned and left, confident that training would proceed smoothly from now on.
That Night: Inside Reiki's Quarters
"You're here?" Reiki asked calmly, sitting cross-legged on his bed.
"Yes," came a voice as Black Zetsu emerged from the ground.
"Reiki, is it time to act on what we discussed? Or do you have another plan?"
Zetsu's tone was calm, but his body trembled faintly.
Reiki gestured to a magatama resting on the table.
"This is the key to rescuing Kaguya Otsutsuki. I'm ready. Do you want to proceed now?"
Black Zetsu stared at the magatama, his emotions a mix of excitement, doubt, and curiosity.
But he hesitated, not picking it up.
"You have a plan, don't you? Tell me what it is," Zetsu finally said.
"Wait until Otsutsuki Ishiki is defeated," Reiki explained.
"That will buy us the time we need to prepare."
Reiki laid out his plans, watching Zetsu closely.
He noticed something different about him.
For the first time, Black Zetsu felt like more than just a creation of Kaguya's Yin-Yang Release.
He seemed almost… human.
"Thank you, Reiki," Zetsu said softly, turning to leave.
"Zetsu," Reiki called after him, hesitating.
"Never mind. You should go rest."
Zetsu nodded and disappeared into the ground.
Reiki sighed, his thoughts lingering on the strange changes in Zetsu.
The pieces were falling into place, but the bigger picture was still unclear.
