Chapter 220: Journey Through Time and Reuniting with Obito and Kakashi

In the deserted underground of the Lost Tower, Haneda watched as Deidara regained consciousness.

"Didn't I tell you to leave when it got dangerous? Are you an idiot?" Haneda scolded.

Deidara coughed a few times, spitting out clay lodged in his throat. "I thought you were ready to sacrifice yourself for art, Haneda-senpai! Hmm!"

Looking around, Deidara asked, puzzled, "By the way, where are we, Haneda-senpai?"

"The Lost Tower. It seems we've traveled to the past," Haneda replied, observing the futuristic walls. He deduced that they had entered the timeline involving Mukade, the puppet master, as part of the story's events.

Haneda speculated that Mukade's arrival might have been caused by his own inability to fully absorb the energy of the Dragon Vein. When channeling its chakra, Haneda's Mangekyō Sharingan had detected the vein absorbing natural energy from the earth and converting it into chakra.

This confirmed his earlier hypothesis: the Dragon Vein had a unique ability to transform natural energy into chakra, making it an inexhaustible source as long as the earth endured.

The reason Haneda had entered the core of the Dragon Vein—the pillar of purple light—was because his bloodline seemed to crave some mysterious substance deep within it.

His instincts had been correct. Now, Haneda held an ice crystal in his hand, its surface reflecting his strikingly refined features, with captivating eyes and a purple diamond mark on his forehead.

This mark, his **Yang Seal**, no longer just contained the "star" sealed within it. The mysterious material from the Dragon Vein had stained the star purple, allowing it to automatically absorb natural energy from the surroundings and convert it into chakra.

"The Dragon Vein Jinchūriki plan succeeded," Haneda mused, smirking. "Now, how do we get back?"

Deidara interrupted, now riding his clay bird. "Come on, Haneda-senpai! I can't wait to witness the past firsthand!"

Sighing, Haneda joined him on the bird, reminding him, "Keep a low profile. Drawing attention here is risky."

"Low profile? Your divine aura screams louder than my art! Hmm!" Deidara quipped as they soared above the city, shattering the glass dome.

Below, alarm sirens blared, and massive humanoid puppets surged toward their bird, mistaking them for invaders.

"Looks like we're under attack, Haneda-senpai. Should I fight back?" Deidara asked, already tossing clay spiders.

"Boom!" The explosions reverberated, but a purple energy blast narrowly grazed Deidara, tearing his sleeve.

"Damn it! Taste the fleeting beauty of my art!" Deidara prepared a C2 explosive.

Before he could act, a flash of yellow light enveloped them, transporting them into a tower.

"You two... are you Konoha ninja?" Minato Namikaze asked, eyeing the Uchiha crest on Haneda's back. Something about the young man reminded him of a certain Uchiha Haneda he knew from the future.

From the shadows emerged Kakashi and Obito.

Obito gawked at Haneda and Deidara, while Kakashi's eyes darted to the *Dawn Blade* at Haneda's waist.

"No, I'm Deidara of Akatsuki and this is my revered elder brother, Uchiha Haneda!" Deidara declared proudly. "Oh, right, Haneda-senpai is technically from Konoha!"

"Knew it!" Kakashi said, recognizing the *Dawn Blade*, the legendary Grasscutter sword his father had sought to gift Haneda.

Obito gasped in shock. "You're... you're that Haneda?! How did you grow up so cool-looking? Did you use a Transformation Jutsu or something?!"

"I've always been handsome!" Haneda retorted, exasperated as Obito activated his three-tomoe Sharingan to confirm his identity.

Minato's soft voice broke the chatter. "Haneda, you're from the future, aren't you? How's Konoha now? Did we win the Third Great Ninja War?"

The mention of Konoha brought a complicated expression to Haneda's face. "Yeah... Konoha's doing well. We won the war, but..."

"No need to say more," Minato interrupted, smiling gently. "Knowing the outcome is enough. Revealing too much about the future could cause irreversible time-space disruptions."

Obito, undeterred, blurted out, "Haneda! Tell me! Do I become Hokage? Are my Sharingan carved on the Hokage Rock?"

"Shut up, Obito," Kakashi chided, shoving his hand over Obito's mouth. "Haneda, is everything okay with my father?"

"Hey, you're asking about the future too, Kakashi, you hypocrite!" Obito snapped, pulling free and grabbing Haneda's cloak. "Tell me about me! Forget this loser!"

"Why don't you all ask me instead? Hmm?" Deidara remarked from the sidelines.

Obito squinted at him. "Who's this guy again?"

"I'm Deidara of Akatsuki! Haneda-senpai's most loyal companion!" Deidara puffed out his chest.

"Pfft, another Haneda fanboy. Like Asuma," Obito scoffed, recalling how Asuma used to follow Haneda around during the Chūnin Exams.

Suddenly, Obito, noticing Deidara's younger age, grinned mischievously. "Hey, kid, why don't you stick with me instead? Call me Obito-senpai!"

"Senpai? You? Don't make me laugh," Deidara shot back, unimpressed.

To prove his worth, Obito activated his Sharingan and trapped Deidara in a brief Genjutsu. "How's that? Submit to Obito-senpai, and I'll make you a legend!"

Haneda and Kakashi exchanged weary glances, silently agreeing this was a trainwreck.

Haneda smirked to himself. 'So, Obito did have this bossy side even back then. How ironic.'
