Chapter 219: Ruins of Roran

Haneda's journey led him to Amegakure.

Nagato wielded a unique jutsu that allowed him to monitor the entire village—*Rain Tiger at Will Technique*. This technique infused chakra into raindrops, making anyone who came into contact with the rain detectable to Nagato.

Haneda, aware of this ability, deliberately stayed in the Land of Rain for a while.

However, neither Nagato nor Konan showed themselves, confirming Haneda's suspicion—they had no intention of meeting him.

With no other option, Haneda left the Land of Rain and headed to the Land of Wind to execute his Dragon Vein plan.

According to intelligence Yaekura gathered in the Land of Wind, the Dragon Vein was located in the eastern region near the border of the Land of Stone.

Its exact location, however, was unknown. Yaekura had pieced together clues from Sunagakure's records of Roran and various local legends.

Even Sunagakure couldn't precisely determine where the Dragon Vein lay. The vast desert of the Land of Wind made navigation dependent on the sun and stars, and maps were hardly reliable.

Fortunately, Deidara's clay bird made aerial reconnaissance possible, offering a broader view of the terrain. Once the general area was identified, they could systematically search for it.

Even so, it took Haneda and his team several days to finally locate the ruins of Roran.

Perched atop his white clay bird, Deidara pointed at a decrepit tower amidst the endless sands, exclaiming, "Finally! Haneda, we've found it! And it's all thanks to my art, hmm!"

"That tower is glaringly obvious in the desert. Haneda could've spotted it without your 'art,'" Kimimaro retorted instinctively.

Since their last sparring match, where Kimimaro barely held his own, an unspoken rivalry had simmered between the two.

Haneda, well aware of his team's personalities, didn't intervene. He knew one sought validation while the other flaunted his talents unintentionally. Ignoring their banter, Haneda jumped off the bird and made his way toward the ruins.

Walking through the ruins, Haneda tried sensing the Dragon Vein's chakra, but neither his standard sensory abilities nor his Sharingan picked up anything.

Just as Haneda prepared to activate Sage Mode, Karin suddenly pointed to a northwestern tower. "Haneda, I sense chakra there—huge chakra!"

"Well done."

Acknowledging Karin's *Mind's Eye of the Kagura*, Haneda led the group toward the indicated location.

Inside the tower, they found a carpet in its center. Embedded in the carpet was a kunai inscribed with the words *Blade of Love and Will*.

Seeing the kunai, Haneda confirmed this was the Dragon Vein.

Recalling the *Lost Tower* storyline, Haneda knew Minato had once sealed the Dragon Vein. But events seemed to have diverged from the original tale.

Haneda vaguely remembered Obito mentioning this:

"Minato-sensei once took Kakashi on a classified mission to the Land of Wind. I insisted on tagging along, and Minato-sensei let me, probably because of my newly awakened Sharingan. But the details of that mission… I've forgotten."

Deep in thought, Haneda approached the kunai. He knelt down and studied the seals around it.

"*Four Symbols Seal*, *Contract Seal*, and traces of something akin to the *Eight Trigrams Seal*..."

Pakura interrupted him, "Haneda, the Dragon Vein's power is immense. Removing the seal recklessly could lead to a catastrophe! Wouldn't it be better to locate a descendant of the Roran royal bloodline first? Legend says their queens could control the Dragon Vein."

Haneda chuckled. "It's too troublesome to search the Land of Wind for someone I've never met, and even if I found her, she might not cooperate."

With that, Haneda activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and pulled the Flying rajin kunai from its place.

As the kunai was removed, Haneda began dismantling the seals—starting with the *Four Symbols Seal* and the *Contract Seal*.

The *Four Symbols Seal*, the core of the Dragon Vein's containment, seemed to employ techniques from the *Eight Trigrams Seal*. Such advanced sealing methods were beyond the comprehension of most.

But Haneda had mastered them long ago, including Minato's incomplete version of the *Eight Trigrams Seal*.

Under Haneda's deft manipulation, the seals rapidly unraveled.

***Whoosh!***

A fierce wind erupted from the center of the seal—the Dragon Vein was awakening.

Far from the ruins, the current Roran queen felt her connection to the Dragon Vein reestablishing. Yet its chakra was becoming dangerously unstable at an alarming rate.

Her expression turned grave as she hastily rode her camel toward the ruins.

Meanwhile, Haneda could feel the ground beneath him surging with chakra.

The more intense and volatile the chakra, the stronger the Tailed Beast-like entity Haneda intended to create.

The floor beneath Haneda cracked wide open, releasing a massive pillar of purple light.

"Haneda! The Dragon Vein's chakra is already more unstable than Shukaku's! Seal it quickly!" Pakura urged, her voice strained with worry.

***Boom!***

The floor gave way entirely. The purple beam expanded, shattering the tower's roof and piercing the heavens.

Haneda, consumed by exhilaration, finally unleashed the *Yang Seal* on his forehead.

The star within the seal began absorbing the Dragon Vein's chakra, storing it within. But the torrent of chakra pouring from the earth was unending, far exceeding the star's capacity to absorb it.

"Haneda!" Kimimaro and Haku unleashed their techniques, desperate to shield him from the violent storm of chakra. Yaekura, too, poured her energy into protecting Haneda.

Deidara, meanwhile, screamed in delight, "Art! ART!! Haneda, you truly are the greatest artist! To throw yourself into this explosion of beauty without hesitation is inspiring!

"Yes, this is what art is—momentary brilliance!"

Deidara leapt toward the purple beam, exclaiming, "I'm joining you, Haneda!"

From within the light, Haneda's voice rang out. "Stop! What are you doing, Deidara?"

"Oh, you're alive, Haneda! Great!"

Inside the vibrant vortex of light, a dimensional tunnel began to form. Within the golden Susano'o's protective embrace, Haneda and Deidara exchanged an exasperated glance.

From a distance, the Roran queen halted her camel, her hand slackening on the reins as she stared at the luminous column in despair.

It was over.

The Dragon Vein had been unsealed—and was out of control.

To be continued.
