Chapter 209: The Yang Seal, Preparing for Revenge

---

Zabuza asked, "Isn't Lord Haneda planning to return to Konoha to become Hokage?"

Haneda explained, "I am preparing to establish an organization independent of Konoha, called *Dawn*."

"The primary goal of *Dawn* is to achieve peace."

"The secondary goal is to aid me in unifying the world."

"You, Pakura, and the Star Ninja Village are already part of *Dawn*."

"This place will serve as *Dawn*'s base, and you will be one of its executives, responsible for the base's construction and stability."

"Yes, Lord Haneda." Zabuza agreed without hesitation.

Once just a rogue ninja from Kirigakure, Zabuza now found himself as half the leader of a ninja village after only two and a half years under Haneda's leadership. Reflecting on his choice back then, Zabuza felt immensely fortunate and became even more resolved to follow Haneda in revolutionizing the world.

After assigning tasks, Haneda took Haku and Kimimaro to a remote training ground within the Star Ninja Village.

He was about to implement another plan—modifying the Yin Seal into the *Yang Seal*.

---

At the secluded training ground, Haneda instructed Zabuza, Haku, and Kimimaro to remain on guard, then retrieved the sealed star and lifted its restrictions.

As the seal was removed, a wave of energy, neither natural nor chakra-based, emanated from the star.

It was an unknown form of radiation that interacted with chakra.

Haneda experimented by injecting his chakra into the star, which instantly devoured it.

Seeing this, Haneda's face lit up with excitement. His Mangekyō Sharingan confirmed that the chakra absorbed by the star remained visible, proving that the star could indeed act as a chakra vessel.

Haneda increased his chakra output: one card, two cards, three… up to twenty cards. Even after expending nearly half his chakra, the star had only filled a small portion of its capacity.

This insatiable "appetite" thrilled Haneda further.

He was now certain that the star could store and modify Dragon Vein chakra while keeping it under control.

While the star's radiation was known to have harmful, irreversible effects on the body, Haneda's Perfect Sage Body made him immune. His body could even neutralize the drawbacks of the Shikotsumyaku, so the star posed no threat to him.

---

Haneda summoned Manda, the giant serpent.

When Manda appeared, its usual arrogance was replaced by submissive respect.

"Lord Haneda," Manda greeted, obediently awaiting instructions.

This change in demeanor was due to an earlier encounter: Haneda had crushed Manda's pride with his overwhelming power, compelling the serpent to submit.

Haneda commanded, "Bring me the scroll I entrusted to you."

Without delay, Manda regurgitated a massive scroll over a meter long.

"You may leave," Haneda said, and Manda quickly dispelled itself, vanishing from sight.

Unrolling the scroll, Haneda examined the intricate black runes on it. These were the seals he had modified, tailored to create the *Yang Seal*.

"Sealing Jutsu: Release!"

Placing his right hand on the ground, Haneda activated the seals. The runes surged toward the star, enveloping it completely. In a flash, the star transformed into a black diamond-shaped mark that hovered briefly before settling on Haneda's forehead.

Testing the seal, Haneda drew chakra from the star to replenish his reserves.

"*Yang Seal, complete!*" Haneda declared with a smile.

With the *Yang Seal* capable of storing up to 100 cards of high-quality chakra, Haneda was ready to settle his score with Ōnoki.

---

Haneda's plan was bold: he intended to assassinate Ōnoki, the Third Tsuchikage, in the heart of Iwagakure—right in front of his entire village.

This wasn't just about revenge for his teacher (Sakumo Hatake); it was also a gift to Kakashi.

Killing Ōnoki would demoralize Iwagakure, giving Kakashi an advantage in the war and paving the way for peace negotiations.

But Haneda's ambitions extended beyond this.

His actions would bolster his reputation and serve as a warning to Konoha's upper echelons, especially the likes of Danzo, who schemed against the Uchiha clan.

Haneda couldn't help but smirk at the thought of Danzo's reaction to his public execution of Ōnoki.

Before heading to Iwagakure, however, Haneda decided to make a detour to Kusagakure to retrieve Karin.

---

Haneda speculated that Karin's *Mind's Eye of the Kagura* ability was tied to her unique Uzumaki lineage and special constitution. Unlike Naruto and Kushina, Karin exhibited an extraordinary healing ability and sensory skills.

Haneda hoped to use the Sharingan's powers to adapt Karin's abilities for broader use. Even if this failed, he wanted to ensure Karin's safety and provide Naruto with a same-clan companion.

During his time in the Land of Waves, Haneda had gathered extensive intelligence on Konoha. He knew that Naruto was being ostracized as the "demon fox" responsible for the death of the Fourth Hokage.

These rumors, spread by none other than Danzo, likely served a dual purpose: to isolate Naruto and manipulate him into becoming a tool for the Foundation.

But Haneda no longer cared about Danzo's schemes.

When he returned to Konoha, he would transform Naruto's life. No longer would the boy endure expired milk or instant noodles. Naruto would have friends, with Sasuke, Haku, and others forming a close circle.

Most importantly, Haneda vowed to care for Naruto like a father.
