"What happened to you, old man?" Jiraiya asked, quickly moving to support the trembling Hokage.

Seeing Hiruzen in such a weakened state, Jiraiya's eyes narrowed.

It had to be Kanzou.

'Was it a Genjutsu?'

And if so—

What kind of Genjutsu could defeat even the Hokage in an instant?

"Don't… don't look him in the eyes."

Hiruzen reached out to Jiraiya, his voice weak—not from physical injury, but mental exhaustion.

Tsukuyomi was a Genjutsu that attacked the mind, and the trauma it caused wasn't easy to recover from.

Still, Hiruzen's condition was better than what happened to Hatake Kakashi, who had once been nearly turned into a vegetable by Tsukuyomi.

At least Hiruzen retained the ability to speak.

But that was expected—Kakashi had only been an elite Jōnin at the time, while Hiruzen was at his peak, well into the ranks of a Kage-level shinobi, not to mention, Kanzou hadn't tortured Hiruzen for Seventy-two hours…

"Uchiha… Kanzou, you've awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Hiruzen asked hoarsely, instinctively avoiding meeting Kanzou's gaze.

He had seen the blood-red pattern the moment their eyes met. That fleeting glimpse had cost him dearly—severe damage to his spirit.

"Do you want to see the true power of the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Kanzou asked, his voice calm yet heavy with menace.

"You bastard… You dared attack the Hokage!" Jiraiya growled through clenched teeth.

The ANBU ninja were ready to act against Kanzou, already forming hand signs to unleash their jutsu and completely restrain him.

"Don't do it!" Hiruzen shouted with all his strength, just before they could move.

If they attacked, things would spiral out of control—and Hiruzen knew Kanzou wouldn't show mercy.

He understood all too well the terrifying power of the Mangekyō Sharingan. He had just experienced it firsthand—dragged into an illusory space where no effort could break the genjutsu. In that realm, he couldn't even feel his own chakra, rendering all conventional methods of dispelling the Genjutsu useless.

He had nearly been killed in an instant.

Even if he survived, his combat strength was reduced to the point where he couldn't even stand up properly without support.

Which meant that just a moment of eye contact with Kanzou was enough to defeat even the likes of him.

Which also meant that even if they all joined forces, it was uncertain whether they could truly defeat Kanzou in direct combat.

More importantly, Kanzou wasn't alone—he had the full backing of the Uchiha clan.

The consequences of a real war were unimaginable.

After experiencing Kanzou's Genjutsu firsthand, Hiruzen calmed down—his anger faded, and reason took over.

'Damn it… How did he awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan?' Fugaku stared at Kanzou with intense jealousy.

He wanted nothing more than to order the ANBU to attack Kanzou immediately—but he knew it would be useless.

Despite holding the title of ANBU Commander, Fugaku was a figurehead—commander in name only, with no real authority. If he weren't, he would never have been appointed to the role in the first place.

"You didn't disappoint me, Sarutobi Hiruzen," Kanzou smirked. He had expected this outcome—he knew Hiruzen would never dare engage him in an all-out fight.

Especially now that he had revealed the Mangekyō Sharingan. Its deterrent effect was greater than even Kanzou had anticipated.

The clan heads present were all stunned. 'Uchiha Kanzou had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan…'

Fortunately, none of them had pressed the attack earlier when things grew tense.

Because they all understood—none of them were capable of standing against Uchiha Kanzou and the power of the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan.

In their eyes, the Mangekyō Sharingan was on par with the legendary Wood Style of the First Hokage.

They couldn't comprehend the distinction between the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

"You're lucky this time. Next time, make sure to keep your eyes open… but then again, you no longer have eyes to keep them open," Kanzou chuckled coldly, casting a glance at the wailing Mitokado Homura, who no longer had eyes left.

Then stared at Utatane Koharu, who had probably lost the child in her womb, and said to her, "And as for you… You old slut… You'd better stick to delivering babies because that's the only thing you are good at… don't you dare stand in my way, lest you'd no longer remain capable of standing or delivering or both…"

After giving the warning, Kanzou left.

"Old man, you're just going to let him walk away? That's it?" Jiraiya turned to Hiruzen, clearly furious.

Kanzou's arrogance had crossed the line—even Jiraiya, who usually tolerated much, couldn't ignore it.

And the fact that Kanzou had injured Hiruzen using a powerful Sharingan genjutsu only added to the insult.

Jiraiya might often argue with Hiruzen, but deep down, he held great respect and gratitude for him.

If not for becoming Hiruzen's disciple, Jiraiya doubted he would've achieved anything of worth.

Unlike Orochimaru, who was incredibly talented, and Tsunade, who hailed from a prominent Clan and was the granddaughter of the Shodaime Hokage, he wasn't anything special… yet he has managed to become a Kage Class ninja… certainly it has a lot to do with his grit and hard work, as well as luck that earned him the opportunity to meet the toads of Mount Myōboku… but Jiraiya really can't deny that Hiruzen also played a lot of role in it…

Different from Jiraiya, Orochimaru appeared quite fascinated.

'The power of the Uchiha clan… the Mangekyō Sharingan… even someone like Sarutobi-Sensei has no choice but to yield?' he thought, staring off in the direction Kanzou had vanished, a strange glint in his eyes.

In the past, Orochimaru hadn't paid much attention to Kekkei Genkai—not even the Uchiha clan's Sharingan or the Hyuga clan's Byakugan.

He was a genius in his own right and carried a sense of pride that made him dismiss those who solely relied on the Kekkei Genkai and boasted about it.

But now… things had changed.

For one, Orochimaru has realized that there is an upper limit for someone like him… He cannot continue to grow stronger merely relying on his talent.

If he wants to grow stronger, he has to try out other things…

For that, he has started looking for ways…

And now, he witnessed the power that brought his teacher to his knees with just a glance and forced him to yield.

That kind of power… even Orochimaru couldn't help but feel a flicker of desire stir within him.

Kanzou's reveal of the Mangekyō Sharingan wasn't a huge surprise. Sooner or later, he would've had to use it.

And yet, he hadn't shown everything.

The true extent of his Mangekyō Sharingan remained hidden—Susanoo hadn't even made an appearance, and even Amaterasu that he got from Fugaku hadn't appeared… not to mention there was still a BUG level Ocular Jutsu in his right Mangekyō.

More importantly, aside from the Mangekyō Sharingan, there was Ryūjin Jakka.

If Kanzou was ever pushed to the brink and used that blade without restraint, its Shikai would likely prove even more terrifying than the Mangekyō Sharingan itself.

If Kanzou were able to maintain Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai for longer periods, forget about supressing Kage-level… even Super-Kage level ninjas wouldn't be much of a problem.

Even true powerhouses at the Six Paths level would fear its flames, which burn at temperatures comparable to the sun's surface.

After all, Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai is more terrifying than some Zanpakutō's Bankai.

Of course, Ryūjin Jakka's true strength comes from not the blade itself, but from Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto… but… the potential still exists.

Anyway, revealing the Mangekyō Sharingan this time didn't just shake Sarutobi Hiruzen—it sent ripples through all of Konoha, especially among the elite clan members.

"True wealth and power don't require being flaunted at all," Kanzou mused. "It's like walking through the night in a brocade robe. Even if I've revealed one of my trump cards, I feel rather satisfied."

And he wasn't worried—because more trump cards were yet to come.

This confrontation had earned him a significant amount of evil points:

He had publicly humiliated Sarutobi Hiruzen with Tsukuyomi and deliberately injured the two advisors, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura.

While he didn't receive any new jutsu as a reward, he had gained more than 100,000 evil points from this incident alone.

With that, Kanzou's total had surpassed 400,000 evil points—

Not far now from the one million he needed to exchange for the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
