There was no further disturbance—Uchiha Fugaku was successfully appointed as the new ANBU Commander.

Seeing that Kanzou didn't make any move, both Sarutobi Hiruzen and Uchiha Fugaku breathed a quiet sigh of relief. They had genuinely feared that Kanzou might stir up trouble again.

With the ANBU Commander now decided, the meeting naturally came to an end.

As they were leaving, Kanzou cast a meaningful smile at Mitokado Homura.

Back in the conference room, Homura had stood up and publicly scolded him. Kanzou may have ignored it at the time, but he was not one to forget—settling scores later was more his style.

Thud!

Kanzou suddenly bumped into Mitokado Homura, knocking the elder cleanly to the ground.

"Are you blind? Don't you have eyes?" Kanzou snapped at the elder.

Several people nearby, who had not yet left, stopped in their tracks at the scene.

'Good grief…' they thought, this is what it truly means for a scoundrel to act like the victim first.

It was obvious to everyone that Kanzou had intentionally rammed into Mitokado Homura—yet he had the gall to accuse the elder of being blind.

"Hurry up and apologise to me—otherwise, don't blame me for being rude."

Homura's face flushed red with anger, his body trembling with fury.

He was the one who had been knocked down, yet not only did Kanzou refuse to apologise—he had the audacity to demand one from him instead!

"Uchiha Kanzou, you're being outrageous!" Homura snapped. "I am a senior advisor of Konoha's Hokage! If you continue with this insubordination and disrespect, I have the authority to revoke your position as Captain of the Konoha Military Police!"

It was obvious to everyone that Kanzou had deliberately knocked him down. Homura had no intention of letting this slide. If he backed down now, where would his dignity go?

"No apology and a threat on top of that, huh? Fine—let's see how you like this."

With that, Kanzou kicked him—hard.

"You senile old fool, do you even realise who you're dealing with? You think you can just insult anyone?"

Another brutal kick landed, this time making Homura cough up blood.

"Uchiha Kanzou! That's enough!"

Utatane Koharu was already storming toward Kanzou, fury burning in her eyes.

As Utatane Koharu charged at him, Kanzou sneered coldly, amused by her foolishness.

"Yo, old hag… do you really think I'll go easy on you just because you're pregnant? By the way, which one is this—34? 35? No… It's probably in the 40s?"

Kanzou wasn't referring to her age—no, he was talking about the number of times she'd been pregnant.

Frankly, it wouldn't be wrong to call Utatane Koharu the Big Mom of the shinobi world.

She started getting pregnant as early as when she was 12 or 13 years old… and has been getting pregnant since then…

She was always either pregnant or well on her way to getting pregnant, courtesy of one of her many husbands.

The entire Utatane Clan, in its current form, was practically delivered by her alone. Before her, it had merely been a small family—but now, thanks to her and her various seed donors, it had grown into a sizeable clan.

Everyone in Konoha knows this… but no one dares to speak of it—no one, except Kanzou, and that infuriated Koharu, "You insolent brat…!"

"Old slut… You must have a death wish, daring to raise a hand against me. Do you even know your place?"

The Wind Style jutsu released by Koharu was effortlessly sliced apart by Kanzou, who then slashed at her without hesitation. His blade cut through her abdomen and vagina, blood spraying into the air as her body collapsed to the ground—her condition unknown.

"You dare attack the Captain of the Konoha Military Police? Considering the wanton consumption of free resources you have been taking, I suspect you're a spy sent by another village to infiltrate Konoha and empty our stocks…!"

Even while delivering a serious blow, Kanzou made sure to frame her actions as treasonous, twisting the narrative to his favour.

Then, turning his attention to the bloodied Mitokado Homura lying at his feet, Kanzou raised Ryūjin Jakka and brought the blade down near Homura's face. The sharp steel glided across his eyes, and a guttural scream erupted from the elder.

"Aaaahhh—my eyes!"

"If you're blind even with your eyes, there's no point in keeping your eyes," Kanzou said coldly, without an ounce of remorse.

Everything happened too quickly. By the time Kanzou had destroyed Mitokado Homura's eyes, the surrounding ninjas finally reacted.

Even Hiruzen hadn't expected Kanzou to actually attack the two elder advisors.

"Uchiha Kanzou! Do you really think you can do whatever you want in Konoha Village?!" Hiruzen shouted in fury. "By assaulting two elders, are you trying to make yourself a traitor?"

Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu weren't just his long-time comrades—they were his most trusted advisors. Their bond ran deep, and there was no way Hiruzen could just stand by while Kanzou harmed them.

"Hmm… how bold," Orochimaru commented, watching the scene unfold with amusement. He had underestimated Kanzou's audacity. The Uchiha was far more daring than he'd imagined.

One after another, the surrounding shinobi drew their weapons, glaring at Kanzou with hostility. The air grew heavy with killing intent.

Attacking two of Konoha's high-ranking advisors was a grave offense.

After all, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu weren't just figureheads—they handled many of the village's most critical decisions and were considered the Hokage's right and left hands.

Such actions could certainly be seen as treason.

"Let's not get it twisted," Kanzou said casually. "I was just defending myself. Utatane Koharu attacked me first. I suspect she wanted me to be her next seed donor, as the bitch probably wanted Uchiha genes, and I simply retaliated to protect my dignity. That's normal, isn't it?"

With that, Kanzou calmly flicked the blood off Ryūjin Jakka and sheathed the blade without a hint of urgency. Despite the ANBU closing in from all directions, his composed demeanour remained unchanged, leaving many unsure of what to make of him.

Still, the tension in the air was palpable. Most of the people present were eager to see Kanzou taken down—his actions had offended far too many.

"Arrest Uchiha Kanzou," Sarutobi Hiruzen ordered coldly. "If we let this slide, it would amount to betrayal of Konoha itself."

"Move in!" Fugaku called out, barely able to contain his anticipation. He hadn't expected such an opportunity to come so soon—he had just been appointed ANBU Commander, and now the chance to strike at Kanzou was right in front of him.

"Tsk tsk… do you really think Konoha can survive if I decide to go all out?" Kanzou muttered as he activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, locking eyes with Hiruzen.

'Tsukuyomi!'

The moment their eyes met, Kanzou cast the powerful Genjutsu, dragging the Sandaime Hokage into the world of Genjutsu.

"…Where am I?" Hiruzen murmured, confused.

Hiruzen found himself bound tightly.

He struggled, but his strength had completely vanished—he couldn't move at all.

"This is a special space I created with Tsukuyomi," Kanzou said with a devilish smile. "In here, everything bends to my will, including time and space."

He stepped forward, eyes gleaming with sadistic intent.

"Sarutobi Hiruzen… be a good target for me, won't you? I've been meaning to refine my Kenjutsu. Let's explore the most efficient ways to kill someone."

Without another word, Kanzou swung his blade and severed Hiruzen's head in one clean strike. But in the blink of an eye, Hiruzen's body reformed—alive again, yet trapped.

Death inside Tsukuyomi may just be an illusion, but the pain is all too real.

And beheading was only the beginning.

Within that warped world, Sarutobi Hiruzen had no idea how many times he was tortured to death.

But outside, in reality, not even a second had passed.

Sarutobi Hiruzen collapsed to his knees with a thud, his face pale as paper and a flicker of fear flashing in his eyes.

He had survived the First and Second Great Shinobi Wars and was no stranger to life and death.

He had always believed he wasn't afraid to die—

But the torment he had just endured had shaken him to his core.

He was afraid.

"His mental fortitude is impressive," Kanzou muttered, feeling a faint sting of fatigue behind his eyes.

Tsukuyomi could kill.

If a victim's spirit broke completely, death would follow in reality.

But Sarutobi Hiruzen's will was extraordinary—he held on.
