Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 140: Uzumaki Clan History Cheap Version 2

"My mother was an Uzumaki like you and me," Karin began. "She was one of the last survivors of Uzushiogakure after its destruction. Captured by Konoha, she was forced to become their tool. She was special, not only for her skills in fuinjutsu, but also because her chakra could heal wounds simply by biting them."

Naruto frowned, horrified.

— "Bite?"

Karin nodded, a bitter smile on her lips.

— "Yes. My mother was used as a kind of living first-aid kit. Whenever a ninja was injured, she was forced to heal them in exchange for her own chakra. But that wasn't all."

She lowered her eyes, her voice becoming colder.

— "They didn't just bite her. They treated her like an object. Like a slave. They broke her, Naruto. Mentally and physically. And when she had nothing left to give, when her body was too weak to continue... they let her die."

Naruto felt a smoldering rage rise within him.

— "How... how could they do that?!" he shouted.

Karin raised her eyes to him, her expression hard.

— "Because that's what they do, Naruto. The hidden villages don't see the Uzumaki as human beings. We are tools, weapons, resources to be exploited. Nothing more."

She took a deep breath before continuing.

— "After my mother's death, I inherited her abilities. My chakra has the same healing power. And guess what? They did the same thing to me."

She pointed to the marks on her neck, her arms, her shoulders.

— "Every mark you see is a ninja who bit me to survive. They never asked for my consent, if I had enough strength to continue. They took, again and again, until I was on the brink of death."

Naruto, petrified, didn't know what to say.

— "But how did you survive all that?" he finally asked.

A slight smile stretched Karin's lips.

— "I wouldn't have survived," she admitted. "Not if he hadn't found me."

Naruto narrowed his eyes.

— "Who?"

— "KageYami," Karin replied, a glint of gratitude in her eyes. "The Kage of the new Uzushiogakure. He's the one who saved me."

She got up, beginning to walk slowly through the room.

— "KageYami is an Uzumaki, like us. But he's much more than that. He has sworn to rebuild Uzushiogakure, to reunite our clan and restore our dignity. When he found me, I was a wreck. Broken, without hope. But he healed me. He gave me a reason to live."

Naruto felt a glimmer of hope mingle with his despair.

— "So... there are still other Uzumaki besides us four?"

Karin nodded.

— "Yes. Not many, but enough to rebuild something. And you, Naruto, are part of this rebirth. You are one of the last hopes of our clan."

Naruto remained silent, absorbing Karin's revelations. A part of him wanted to believe in this promise of renewal, in this KageYami who seemed to embody everything he had always sought: a home, a family, a purpose.

But another part of him was suspicious. Konoha might have its flaws, but it was there that he had met his friends, his mentors. It was there that he had started to believe in himself.

— "If everything you say is true, why do you fight against me? Why does Akatsuki try to destroy this world?" he finally asked.

Karin fixed him with a serious gaze.

— "Because this world is rotten to the core, Naruto. The hidden villages, the wars, the injustices... Everything must be destroyed so that something new can be born."

Nagato, who had remained in the background until then, approached.

— "You have a decision to make, Naruto," he said. "Will you remain Konoha's tool, or will you join your true family to change the world? And find your mother. "

Naruto lowered his eyes, his heart heavy. Karin and Nagato's words resonated within him, mixing truth and manipulation. He knew he had to make a decision, but for the first time, he wasn't sure which one to make.

— "Give me time," he murmured eventually.

Karin placed a hand on his shoulder.

— "Take the time you need. But remember: you are an Uzumaki. And the Uzumaki do not submit to anyone. And do not receive orders from anyone. "

She put her cloak back on, covering the scars of her past once more, and left the room with Nagato, leaving Naruto alone with his thoughts.

In the silence, Naruto raised his eyes to the ceiling, murmuring:

— "Shikai-sensei... what would you have done?"

But once again, no answer came.

Naruto remained alone in the room after their departure, his mind in turmoil. Was the truth really that simple? Was everything he had believed, everything he had fought for, a lie?

His heart was a battlefield. His memories of Konoha clashed with Karin and Nagato's revelations.

But no answer came, only silence. And for the first time in his life, Naruto truly felt lost. It wasn't just empty words, there were many clues, things he already knew, like hearing Shikai's conversation with Hiruzen, he knew that his mother was also the host of that demon, and even the first host was an Uzumaki. And the clan of these Uzumaki had been destroyed even though they had never been at war with anyone.

In the end, Naruto needed time. But he only needed a nudge to completely falter.
