Naruto : The ultimate Troublemaker

Chapter 139: Uzumaki Clan History Cheap Version

Naruto slowly opened his eyes in a dimly lit room, his muscles still sore. He was lying on a bed, the walls around him adorned with strange symbols he didn't recognize. It had been weeks since he was captured by Nagato, and since then, he had oscillated between suspicion and incomprehension towards his captors.

Today, something was different. The tension in the air was palpable. The door opened abruptly, letting in Nagato accompanied by a hooded figure.

— "Naruto Uzumaki," Nagato began in a grave voice. "I think you've had enough time to rest. It's time to talk about serious matters."

Naruto sat up, his eyebrows furrowed, ready to retaliate if necessary. But before he could say anything, Nagato continued:

— "You're probably wondering who we are, why we are so powerful. Maybe even how I obtained this dojutsu, the Rinnegan. Well, the answer is simple."

The hooded figure slowly stepped forward, revealing a deep, almost intimidating voice:

— "It's because we are Uzumaki."

Naruto widened his eyes, his breath quickening.

— "What?" he murmured.

The figure then slowly pulled back their hood, revealing a young face, framed by vibrant red hair. Naruto was surprised to discover a girl.

— "I'm Karin Uzumaki, and he's Nagato Uzumaki," she said with a mischievous smile. Then, adopting a mocking tone, she added: "Sorry for the deep voice before, it was just funny to see you stress out."

Naruto didn't respond. His gaze fixed on Karin's eyes, and what he saw shocked him even more. She possessed the Rinnegan, but with a peculiarity: her concentric circles were a vivid pink.

— "You're serious?" Naruto asked in a trembling voice.

Nagato slowly nodded, and Karin continued, her tone becoming more serious.

— "It's not just you who has suffered, Naruto. It's our entire clan. The Uzumaki clan to which you belong."

Karin sat on a chair near him, crossing her legs.

— "You know why you grew up alone, never hearing about your clan? It's because all the villages ganged up against Uzushiogakure, our hidden village. Our enemies attacked us relentlessly until they destroyed us."

Naruto remained silent, but his fist clenched unconsciously.

— "Our clan was too powerful," she continued. "Our mastery of fuinjutsu, our dojutsu, our colossal reserves of chakra, and even our natural affinity to become perfect jinchūriki... All of this scared the other nations."

Nagato, who had remained silent until then, spoke up.

— "Your mother, Kushina Uzumaki, was one of the last hopes of our clan. She was kidnapped by Konoha to become their weapon. And after her death, they used you, too."

Naruto shook his head, refusing to believe what he was hearing.

— "No... It's impossible. I was alone, yes, but... it can't be true!"

Karin got up, approaching him.

— "Look at us, Naruto. You know we're not lying. Uzumaki blood runs through your veins, and it's because of that blood that you were reduced to a life of slavery and solitude."

Nagato added in a solemn tone:

— "In exchange for this suffering, we offer you a chance. A chance for liberation."

Naruto felt his mind reel. He remembered the scornful looks from the villagers, his nights of isolation, his constant struggle to be accepted. Yet, he also remembered the moments of warmth he had shared with his friends, which were in reality false.

— "Why should I believe you?" he asked, his gaze dark.

Karin crossed her arms, her eyes shining with an odd intensity.

— "Because you already know the truth, Naruto. Konoha let you suffer. They treated you like a weapon, not a human being. You know it better than us. You've already lived it."

Nagato approached, placing a hand on Naruto's shoulder.

— "All you've ever wanted is a peaceful life. A loving family. To no longer be alone. In the world I will create, you can rewrite your story. You can live the life you deserve."

Naruto lowered his eyes, his heart torn by a turmoil he had never felt before.

— "All I wanted... was for things to be fair," he murmured. "I did everything they asked of me. I tried to be strong, to be someone. But... if what you say is true... then I've never really belonged to Konoha."

Karin placed a hand on his arm.

— "And you never will. Join us, Naruto. Together, we can change this world for the better."

But Naruto, though shaken, felt a surge of anger within him.

— "No! Even if what you say is true, I won't betray my friends. I won't abandon them."

Nagato, a hint of disappointment in his eyes, stepped back slightly.

— "Then think carefully," he said in a calm tone. "Because your choices will determine whether you are their slave... or your own master."

Karin stood before Naruto, her gaze turning grave. She let her cloak fall to the ground, revealing what lay underneath. Naruto, taken aback, widened his eyes. Karin's body was marked with scars and deep bite marks, scattered across her pale skin.

— "What...?" Naruto murmured, horrified.

Karin ran a hand over her arm, brushing the marks as if they were an integral part of her identity.

— "Look closely, Naruto. Look at what the Shinobi world has done. What the world in which my mother could not survive.

Naruto, his fists clenched, felt a lump form in his throat. He knew that the ninja life could be cruel, but what he was seeing surpassed anything he could have imagined.

— "I don't understand..." he said, his voice trembling.

Karin sat on a chair, her eyes filled with contained sadness and anger.

— "I'm going to tell you a story, Naruto. My story. That of my mother. Maybe you'll finally understand why I fight to destroy this rotten system."
