Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

Chapter 244: Chapter 244: People Who Take Advantage of Each Other

"Roar--"

The moment Kirito's palm pressed against Obito's abdomen, Obito's body began to swell uncontrollably, inflating like a balloon about to burst.

The Ten Tails, sealed within Obito, let out a ferocious roar as it emerged violently from his back. Its massive hands clawed at the ground, pulling its enormous body out in one forceful motion.

The grotesque scales and long horns that had grown from Obito's body were ripped away, like tape being peeled from skin, leaving him writhing in agony.

"Ahhh--"

The excruciating pain wracked Obito's body, forcing him to scream. He instinctively tried to keep the Ten Tails within him, but his willpower was insufficient to control the rampaging beast. Unable to resist, he watched helplessly as the Ten Tails broke free.

"Hoohoo!!"

Now liberated, the Ten Tails roared toward the blood-red moon. No longer under the control of Obito or the Rinnegan, it reveled in its newfound freedom. With instinctual purpose, it began folding its massive hands, gathering chakra for its next transformation.

Obito, his hair now completely white, collapsed to the ground, his body reverted to that of an ordinary man.

"Failed…" he muttered, his voice weak. He gazed at the Ten Tails, now amassing incredible power, and glanced at Kirito standing nearby. Memories of Rin's smile flashed through his mind as a wave of despair washed over him. "Rin… I failed to create that world for you…"

A Different Approach

In the original events, Naruto had used the chakra of the Nine Tailed Beasts to resonate with Obito, gradually extracting their power and weakening his bond with the Ten Tails. However, that method left the Gedo Mazo remnants within Obito.

Kirito, on the other hand, took a direct approach. By analyzing the sealing jutsu Obito had used, Kirito simply reversed the technique, forcibly breaking the fragile bond between Obito and the Ten Tails.

Obito had never been truly compatible with the Ten Tails. Without the Rinnegan and the sealing jutsu, he would never have been able to become its jinchuriki. This lack of cohesion made it all too easy for Kirito to dismantle the connection.

[The stage is set. Time for the final act.]

Kirito stepped past Obito's fallen form, his focus shifting entirely to the Ten Tails.

The Ten Tails' Wrath

The Ten Tails, now fully powered, let out an ear-piercing scream. Its once-emaciated body had become robust and muscular, brimming with destructive energy.

"The sky is changing!"

With its overwhelming chakra, the Ten Tails began altering the environment. The winds roared, thunder cracked, and the once-serene battlefield descended into chaos. It was as though the end of the world had arrived.

"How can we fight this…?"

Many members of the Allied Shinobi Forces dropped their weapons in despair, overwhelmed by the apocalyptic scene unfolding before them.

[No more needless deaths.]

"Sage Art: Wood Release: Tori Gate!"

Kirito activated his sealing technique, designed specifically for massive foes.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Colossal torii gates descended from the sky, smashing into the Ten Tails' head and pinning it to the ground. The beast's attempts to channel chakra were interrupted, leaving it momentarily stunned.

"Grrrr..."

The Ten Tails' massive red eye locked onto Kirito, hatred burning within its gaze. Yet, bound by the gates, it could do little more than growl feebly.

He Who Lurks in the Shadows

Unnoticed by most, a black-and-white figure emerged from the ground behind Kirito.

"This is my chance," Black Zetsu murmured, his half-liquid form slipping closer to Obito. "I've waited long enough. Now is the perfect moment to resurrect Mother."

Obito, lying motionless on the ground, slowly raised his arms. With trembling hands, he formed the seal for Rinne Rebirth.

"I couldn't destroy this world… I've already lost the Ten Tails… If that's the case, I'll do the one thing I have left for you, Rin…"

As his chakra waned and his life force ebbed away, Obito's mind was filled with memories of Rin. He resolved to use his final moments to perform the ultimate act of sacrifice.

"Rinne Rebirth Jutsu—"

Smack!

A black hand suddenly pierced Obito's chest, halting his movements.

"Obito, your mission isn't over yet," Black Zetsu whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "Allow me to help you complete it."

Obito's eyes widened in horror as Black Zetsu's viscous form began enveloping his body.

"No… stop!" he cried out, his voice breaking.

Ignoring Obito's protests, Black Zetsu completely overtook him, forcing him to reform the seals for the Rinne Rebirth Jutsu.

"You thought you could control the Ten Tails?" Zetsu sneered. "You were always just a tool for the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The only one worthy of becoming the Ten Tails Jinchuriki is Madara. You were nothing more than his puppet."

As Obito's body succumbed to Black Zetsu's will, his dim Sharingan fixated on the blood-red moon.

[You lived your life as a pawn, and now you die as one. Consider this your punishment for your sins.]

The Return of Madara

With Black Zetsu in control, Obito's body completed the seals.

Swish!

The King of Hell, the manifestation of life and death, emerged from the ground, its massive mouth opening wide.

From within its maw stepped a figure clad in crimson armor. His dark hair flowed as his eyes remained closed, yet his mere presence sent shivers through the battlefield.

"I didn't expect to return so soon," Madara Uchiha said, his voice cold and calculating. He smirked as he surveyed the scene. "It seems the plan is progressing smoothly."

Behind him, the King of Hell slowly faded away, leaving Madara standing proudly amidst the chaos.
