NARUTO: The Saga of Crimson Monarch

Chapter 56: Through the Ashes of War

The battlefield was silent except for the cries of the wounded. The earth was soaked with blood, bodies scattered across the field,

The survivors, both warriors and villagers, moved slowly, weary and mourning.

Ares stood firm at the center of the battlefield, his gaze sweeping over the devastated land. He raised his voice, commanding the attention of all.

"Listen, all of you!" His voice cut through the air. "Clean this battlefield. Help the wounded. Carry the dead. Every soul here deserves a respectful farewell. Today, we are one, bound together by the blood shed on this ground."

His words pierced through the silence. Warriors who were once enemies dropped their weapons in solemn surrender. A mercenary fell to his knees beside a fallen comrade, choking on his grief. "You promised we'd return together..my friend." with trembling hands, he wiped away his tears and gently carried the body to join the line of the fallen.

Yuusei and Souta approached Meiji, their armor battered, their faces drawn with exhaustion. "My lord," Yuusei spoke softly, his voice trembling, "your people still need you. They need your strength, your guidance."

Meiji, eyes swollen and red with grief, met their gaze. "Then we shall lead them. Together." With a heavy heart, he stood, his resolve hardening as he carefully lifted Ken's lifeless body.

Across the battlefield, a quiet transformation unfolded. Warrior's from opposing sides lifted the wounded, their hands united in a shared purpose. A family, once torn apart, reunited in a tearful embrace, their joy laced with sorrow for the loved ones they couldn't find.

Mercenaries and samurai's worked together, carrying the wounded to the makeshift tents. Women clutched their children, tears streaming down their faces. The camp became a symbol of unity and strength—a sanctuary where the agony of the present gave way to the quiet hope of a brighter tomorrow.

As the sun sank beneath the horizon, Ares moved through the camp, His towering presence commanded respect, Villagers and warriors alike nodded in his direction as he passed, their awe of his power tempered by the deep gratitude they felt. Children watched him curiously, their innocent eyes reflecting a mixture of wonder and reverence.

As Ares entered the medic tent, chaos reigned. Healers rushed to treat the critically wounded, their hands trembling as they worked tirelessly. When Osuke, the chief healer, spotted Ares, he froze for a moment, his body drenched in sweat. With a deep, respectful bow, he hurriedly spoke, his voice quivering, "My lord Asura, how may I assist you?"

Ares' reply was calmly "I will help treat the wounded."

Osuke's eyes widened in disbelief. "No, my lord Asura, we can't ask such a thing of you—"

Ares walked past him, approaching a dying villager. Kaito, his body covered in brutal wounds, gasped as Ares neared. "My lord Asura… are you here to take my soul? Please, end this pain..."

Ares placed a hand gently on Kaito's chest, a soft blue light of chakra emanating from his palm. "I don't take lives," he said, his voice steady yet warm. "You deserve a chance to live." He smiled, his eyes filled with compassion. "Rest now. You'll get better."

The wounds on Kaito's body began to heal, the blue light weaving flesh and bone back together. Tears welled in Kaito's eyes as he whispered, his voice shaking, "Thank you… my lord Asura… I don't deserve such kindness."

Ares stood, while Osuke and the others stood frozen, stunned by the miracle they had just witnessed. "Osuke," Ares said, his voice calm, "bring me the most critical patients. I will heal them all."

Osuke's hands shook as he bowed deeply, "Yes, my lord Asura!" he cried urgently, "Hurry! Bring them in! Lord Asura himself will heal them!"

The tent erupted into frantic activity. People ran, carrying stretchers and cradling the wounded. The air buzzed with urgency and hope as Ares worked tirelessly, his blue chakra lighting the darkened tent.

Outside, Fenrir approached Ares, her massive form shrinking as she bowed her head. "My Liege, I must take my leave to regain my strength." Ares nodded, a silent acknowledgment of her service. Fenrir rushed off,

As the final rays of sunlight vanished below the horizon, Ares stood at the heart of the medical tent, his shadow clones now dissolved.

Osuke, tears welling in his eyes, stepped forward, his voice quivering. "My lord Asura… words fail to capture our gratitude. You've done what even the gods could not. These people—each one of them—should not have survived. Yet here they are, given a second chance at life because of you."

One by one, the healed patients and their families approached Ares. A frail woman, her severed hands now whole, fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "You pulled me from the abyss, my lord Asura. How can I ever repay you?"

Ares knelt, his smile warm and reassuring."You owe me nothing. Live fully and treasure the life you've been given. That is all I ask." Her sobs grew louder as she clung to him, overwhelmed with gratitude. Soon, others gathered, surrounding Ares with heartfelt words of thanks.

An old man, his voice trembling, whispered, "You're not just a living legend… you're a miracle, Lord Asura."

A boy, no older than seven, stepped forward cautiously, gripping his mother's hand. He looked up at the towering figure before him, his voice trembling. "Thank you… for saving my mom and me Aniki "

Ares smiled, ruffling the boy's hair. "Stay strong, little one. You'll grow into someone who can protect others, just like your mom protected you." The boy beamed, tears gleaming in his eyes as he hugged Ares tightly.

Osuke and the other healers watched in awe, their hearts moved by the scene. Osuke wiped his eyes, his voice thick with emotion. "He's not just a legend... he's a true hero. Not for his power, but for his kindness."

As Ares prepared to leave, the crowd surrounded him—women, elders, and even the wounded, some leaning on each other for support. They reached out, clutching his hands, his cloak—anything to feel his presence.

"Thank you, my lord Asura," they cried in unison. "You've saved us. We will never forget this kindness."

Ares embraced a few, surprising them with his warmth and cried "Take care of each other," he said softly, his voice steady and sincere. "Together, you'll find strength."

As Ares walked toward the edge of the camp, the crowd watched in silence, their faces filled with hope. Children waved, elders whispered blessings, and many wept, moved by the kindness of a man who had given so much and asked for nothing in return.

An elderly woman, holding her granddaughter's hand, spoke softly as Ares vanished into the distance. "Legends tell of heroes who defy gods and fate. Today, we've met one. He is not just a warrior—he is a savior."

Kaito nodded, his voice firm,"He is the Crimson Asura, and we are honored to witness his greatness."

"Even in the darkest times," he whispered, "we can find the light to lead us"
