Naruto: The Crimson Error

Sora appeared at the spot where his clone was.

He needed a shadow clone present in the scene to help him teleport, as this process required intense concentration that he couldn't achieve in battle.

He sat down in the cave while the shadow clone went in another direction and placed some Flying Raijin marks to use for escape later.

'Let's see... my chakra reserves are dry now, lol,' Sora chuckled internally while closing his eyes.

A black mark on the back of his neck blinked and spread throughout his body, concentrating near his chest, where his heart was absent.

It was the Yin seal.

He created a shadow clone and then closed his eyes, focusing on healing himself with Creation Rebirth.

Creation Rebirth – A technique created by one of the best iryonin the shinobi world had seen. As long as this jutsu is active, it can heal any injury, earning it the title of the best medical technique.

However, like other S-rank jutsu, it comes with a cost: it requires an absurd amount of chakra, and each use decreases the user's lifespan.

In a few moments, a new heart was created, and his wounds closed up.

Sora opened his eyes, and the shadow clone disappeared.

'Hmm, let's fix this,' Sora thought, looking at the hole in his chest-area clothing.

In the next instant, some seals became visible, and the hole was repaired.

'The Byakugan won't be able to confirm if I've healed or not, as this clothing should block its view,' Sora suddenly looked in one direction.

'Ah, too late. I'd have to confront them anyway; they could become casualties in this mess. Or should I leave? They're capable of escaping, and I could lead those twotime travelers in another direction with my clones.' Sora internally shook his head at the location choice his clone had made.

Two familiar, yet unfamiliar, people to the current Sora appeared a few meters away from him.

"Why do you have red hair?"

A smirk unconsciously appeared on Sora's face. "I've had it since I can remember."

But no one laughed.

"Tough crowd." Sora got up and clicked his fingers.

The blood that had fallen to the ground was stored in his storage seal.

"Anyway, you guys should leave now. This is above your pay grade," Sora said while flickering out.

He hadn't created a seal to prevent the fishhook from draining his chakra, so he'd only refilled his reserves to 1 per cent of his normal amount.

That was sufficient for a worst-case scenario, so he should be fine.

Plus, he didn't want to accidentally give Urashiki more chakra to heal.

Sora stopped as a fist punched the air in front of his face; he tilted his head slightly, causing a sound as the air displaced where his head had been.

This was due to Toad Sage Mode's ability to make the surrounding nature energy an extension of the body.

Naruto's eyes widened, as if no one had dodged this move on their first encounter.

It was a good way to catch opponents off guard and take them down right then.

Those who could stand after this manoeuvre usually avoided taijutsu with Naruto.

So, imagine Naruto's shock when the red-haired guy stepped into his guard smoothly.

It almost felt natural.

Naruto tried to kick, but before his kick could gain momentum, Sora countered with a kick to Naruto's thigh.

The kick was strong, sending Naruto flying backward like a ragdoll.

'Should I keep fighting or escape?' Sora really enjoyed bullying a teenage Naruto.

This Naruto, though younger than him, was still technically older, yet Sora didn't feel one bit guilty about it.

It was like deciding whether to brush your teeth after eating ice cream at night.

Sora's eyes widened as he saw a ball of wind hurtling at him – Naruto had launched a wind Rasengan while airborne.

Sora pointed two fingers at the wind Rasengan, and two blue beams intercepted it, making the green ball explode and sending strong winds in all directions.

Sora flickered backwards.

'For a second, I thought that was a Rasenshuriken. At that range, that would have been tough to deal with,' Sora thought, relieved.

He looked at the ground, then jumped up.

A Wind Style Rasenshuriken emerged from the ground, expanding.

Sora had foreseen this, so he clapped his hands, summoning a large blue beam that clashed with the Rasenshuriken.

The Rasenshuriken passed through the blue beam for a moment but then stopped.

The force threw Sora higher into the air due to the reaction.

Yes, Newton's third law still applies in this world.

The blue laser beam was just a water variant of the Rasengan, appearing like a laser due to its speed, but when clashing with the Rasenshuriken, it looked like a normal water sphere.

Sora furrowed his brows as another Rasenshuriken approached him in mid-air.

He used a Wind Jutsu to fall toward the ground faster, positioning himself away from his previous spot, but the Rasenshuriken adjusted its trajectory to follow him.

'I forgot these battles are "spam till you win" types, the kind where I always lose,' Sora chuckled internally, shaking his head.

He reached the ground and flickered away just as the Rasenshuriken expanded, aiming to hit him, but he had sped up just enough to evade it.

Sora looked at Naruto, who, in Sage Mode, was already creating another Rasenshuriken with his two clones and launching it toward Sora. But Sora countered by sending his compressed water Rasengan straight at its core, causing it to explode near its launch point.

Luckily, Naruto had flickered backwards, dispelling his clones.

"That looked like a Rasengan. How can you use that jutsu?" Naruto asked.

"Similar to how you can use your jutsu that looks like a Rasengan, no?" Sora smirked.

He was really enjoying talking in riddles.

He was starting to understand why Kakashi-sensei liked to be annoying.

Sora fired another small blue beam from his finger, intercepting Naruto's wind Rasengan, created almost instantly.

"You really have a short temper, don't you?"

"You were asking for it when you said that," Naruto retorted, creating five Shadow Clones, each forming a Rasengan, and flickering toward Sora from different directions.

"Still, you shouldn't let others' behaviour dictate your actions. I heard that's bad somewhere," Sora said, releasing five blue lasers aimed at each shadow clone.

The clones used their Rasengans as shields.

It worked for a moment before the lasers broke through, dispelling them.

Jiraiya had been observing the battle from a safe distance, trying to figure out the mystery behind the red-haired person who was single-handedly dominating the fight without seeming to try.

Naruto charged Sora again, opting for taijutsu to see if he could gain anything from it.

He created two shadow clones, each approaching Sora from the sides in Frog Kata, with the main body in Sage Mode following suit.

He hoped to confuse Sora by making him second-guess which body was the real one, creating doubt that Naruto could exploit.

The three of them ganged up on Sora, or at least tried to.

Sora fired a blue laser at each of their palms.

The clones instinctively formed Rasengans in front of them.

The laser penetrated the Rasengans of the clones, dispelling them.

However, the main body in Sage Mode had a Rasengan with senjutsu, so it wasn't penetrated, but Naruto's momentum was halted.

Sora summoned a kunai and threw it at Naruto, who deflected it with his hand.

'Genjutsu?' Naruto noticed that the kunai vanished from its spot after he deflected it.

Sora suddenly appeared in front of him, aiming an axe kick, but Naruto jumped backwards, anticipating it.

"STOP!" a loud, booming voice called, halting them both.
