After concluding that the rumors were likely spread under the influence of the Mitokado and Utatane clans, the civilian-born ninjas within the Konoha Military Police Force were quite anxious. 

After all, these two clans were among the largest in the village, apart from the Uchiha and Hyuga. Getting involved with them left these civilian ninjas unsure of what to do.

However, the Uchiha ninjas quickly bolstered the determination of the civilian ninjas.

"What are you hesitating for? Don't forget that wearing this uniform means you represent the Konoha Military Police Force! Behind you stands the Uchiha Clan!" 

Inoka Uchiha declared before leading a team to arrest people in the two clans. After his speech, he was the first to grab a police baton and march out.

The civilian ninjas behind him were so moved they had tears in their eyes. The Uchiha clan is truly amazing; when something happens, they are really the first ones to step up!

So, they grabbed their batons and followed Inoka.

Upon arriving at the business districts controlled by the two clans, the Konoha Military Police Force wasted no time. They immediately sealed off the entire street and began calling out names based on confessions they had obtained.

"What do you think you're doing? This is the Utatane clan property!" 

A lower-ranked member of the Utatane clan, responsible for managing the businesses, was visibly agitated upon seeing their business being sealed and a large number of people taken away.

But as soon as he spoke, Inoka Uchiha locked eyes on him and demanded. 

"What's your name?"

At that moment, a merchant, who had already been identified by over twenty people as a key suspect in spreading the rumors and had been resisting arrest, was crying while dodging the baton strikes. 

"Officer, stop hitting me! Stop! It was him! He told us to do it!"

Hearing this, Inoka Uchiha tightened his grip on his baton and growled: "Oh? You're the person I was looking for, and you even dared to jump out on your own!"

Without hesitation, Inoka Uchiha used Teleportation Jutsu and appeared in front of the man in an instant, then he knocked him to the ground with a single strike. 

This Utatane clan member, being of mediocre strength, had been assigned to business management rather than combat. 

Meanwhile, Inoka Uchiha was at Jonin level but remained a Chunin in official rank due to the Uchiha Clan's rule requiring three-tomoe Sharingan for promotion. Against him, this person from the Utatane clan stood no chance. After taking two more baton strikes, his eyes suddenly became much clearer.

"Damn it, the Konoha Military Police Force issued an official decree, and you still didn't know when to back off? Did you really think we're just for show?" 

Inoka Uchiha scolded while continuing to strike him.

"Captain, pay attention, enforce the law with a smile." 

A civilian ninja reminded him.

"Good point." 

Inoka Uchiha said with a forced smile, his Sharingan glinting as he struck the man again; polite enforcement was an initiative pushed by their esteemed Clan Head, after all. 

But that didn't mean he had to hold back.

On the Mitokado side, the situation wasn't much better. Unlike the manager of the Utatane clan, the Mitokado clan business manager was slightly more cautious and didn't openly confront the police. 

This made things a bit more difficult for Saito Uchiha, who was leading that operation. Luckily, police dog #00004, Retsumaru, proved its worth by jumping out and biting Shota Mitokado on the rear just as he was trying to slip away in the crowd.

Once enough people had been apprehended, Kuragami Uchiha ordered them all to be locked up in the Konoha Military Police Force's prison and interrogated thoroughly to uncover any foreign influences behind the rumors.

Meanwhile, the two village elders were still enjoying tea in the Utatane clan's tea house.

"With this wave of pressure, Kakashi should finally come to his senses." Koharu Utatane remarked after finishing her tea while looking at Homura Mitokado with a smirk.

"If he knows what's good for him, he'll stay away from the Jinchuriki." Homura chuckled, clearly pleased.

"And that naturally evil Uchiha brat actually thought he could interfere? Issuing that so-called law, what good will that do?" 

Koharu scoffed with disdain.

"In this village, only the laws that Hiruzen and we approve are real laws." 

Homura agreed. "But from this, it's clear Kakashi can no longer be trusted."

"He's already siding with that naturally evil Uchiha brat. That much has been obvious for a while." 

Koharu snorted.

"Still, we should be careful. We'll need to control public opinion in the coming days. If Kakashi ends up committing suicide like his useless father, we can't give any good excuse at Hiruzen."

"Hmph, Hiruzen is getting soft in his old age. He didn't even dare to pursue that naturally evil Uchiha brat after Danzo died at the other party's hand. As the disciples of the second Hokage, it's our duty to keep the Uchiha under watch." 

Koharu said firmly.

Just then, the tea house doors burst open, and a Utatane clan ninja rushed in, panic-stricken.

"Bad news, elder!"

"What's with this panic? Show some composure!" 

Koharu frowned, irritated by the other party's lack of discipline.

"The Konoha Military Police Force... They've sealed off the Utatane and Mitokado clan's business district and arrested at least 400 people, including many of our clan's branch members!"

"What?!"

Both of the advisors stand in shock.

Then Koharu slammed the table in anger. "How dare the Konoha Military Police Force do this?!"

"The Uchiha clan are truly evil." 

Homura's face darkened. "They even dared to target civilians."

"What should we do?" Koharu asked.

Homura thought for a moment before responding. "Gather all the civilians who depend on our businesses for their livelihood. Find a few unregistered ninjas from our clans and lead them in a protest outside the Konoha Military Police Force." 

"We'll pressure them into releasing our people; I refuse to believe they'd dare to act recklessly in front of everyone. As for us, we'll go straight to Hiruzen. This time, the Uchiha must pay the price!"

At the same time, the Konoha Military Police Force prison was brightly lit. 

Because they had arrested so many people at once, even the interrogation rooms weren't enough, forcing them to repurpose a section of the prison for questioning. 

Every available officer was working overtime to interrogate the detainees.

In the temporary office inside the prison, Kuragami Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha, and four veteran Uchiha Jonin, along with the recently recruited Shihei Aburame and Kaze Inuzuka, were reviewing the interrogation reports.

"Damn, there's so many people. How long will this take?" Kaze Inuzuka muttered while looking at the mountain of reports piling up on the table.

"Kaze, we might not even get anything useful out of them." Ida Uchiha on the side said.

"Seriously. The third Hokage even promised to assign us two Anbu interrogation specialists, and we're still waiting. Our interrogation skills are far from professional; we need to bring this up with him soon." Kuragami Uchiha remarked.
