Chapter 16: Chapter 16

A New Day

"Good morning, Grandma," I greeted cheerfully, waking up to the smell of breakfast.

"Good morning, Ryuu," Grandma replied warmly, her smile radiating warmth.

"Breakfast is ready. Come, sit down."

After a hearty breakfast, I strolled towards the office, exchanging greetings with the villagers I encountered along the way.

At the office, a mountain of documents awaited my attention. As I began to sift through them, a knock interrupted my focus.

"Come in," I called out.

Adachi, the head instructor of the Ninja Academy, entered, looking slightly troubled. "Sir, the students in the third and fourth-year classes have mastered the Three Bodies Technique and Chakra Control Technique. I'm unsure what to teach them next. Ninjutsu seems too advanced for their age. I sought your guidance."

"They've mastered both techniques already?" I mused, surprised. "Typically, it takes two to three years for even civilian background ninjas to achieve that level. I suspect their curriculum might be overly focused on theory. Instead of reciting who the strongest Hokage is or debating the Will of Fire, they should be honing their practical skills. Focus on the Three Bodies Technique first. I'm not sure what their current training regimen entails."

"There are ten ninja instructors – five Jonin and five Chunin," Adachi explained. "They cover basic reading, writing, general ninja knowledge, physical fitness, shurikenjutsu, kenjutsu, and even have a dedicated medical ninja class. There's also a sealing class, and they emphasize the importance of humility, self-control, and avoiding arrogance. The focus is on practical skills for survival."

"Good," I approved. "First, have Adachi test their chakra attributes and guide them in chakra manipulation techniques, including chakra nature transformations. If they demonstrate sufficient chakra reserves and a strong desire to learn more, introduce them to C-rank ninjutsu. Also, emphasize the concept of combination techniques. For example, using Fire Release followed by Wind Release to enhance the flames, or Water Release followed by Lightning Release. Focus on the theory behind these combinations first, before attempting any practical applications. I'll transfer ten Chunin to assist you."

"Thank you, sir," Adachi expressed his gratitude and exited the office.

As I resumed my work, I reviewed a scroll detailing the village's monthly earnings.

Revenue from missions, the sale of resources like food, sealing scrolls, healing talismans, and a limited number of detonating talismans had reached a remarkable fifty million Ryo. The village reserves now held a substantial two hundred million Ryo, a testament to prudent financial management. The villagers utilized the funds for necessities and enjoyed a comfortable life without fear.

While peace reigned within the village, the outside world was embroiled in conflict. The Uchiha and Senju clans were locked in a bitter and seemingly endless war, engulfing the Land of Fire in chaos.

"Madara, why can't we find peace?"

Hashirama pleaded, his voice weary. "This senseless fighting must end."

"Don't jest with me, Hashirama," Madara retorted, his eyes blazing with fury. "Prepare for battle!"

Madara unleashed his Susanoo, the colossal armored construct towering over the battlefield. His eyes, bleeding from the strain of the technique, were filled with a chilling determination.

In response, Hashirama countered with Wood Style: Tree World Emergence, a devastating technique that erupted from the earth, ensnaring the Susanoo in a dense thicket of colossal trees.

Undeterred, Madara's Susanoo wielded a colossal sword, effortlessly slicing through the restraining branches.

In another part of the battlefield, Izuna and Tobirama clashed in a fierce swordfight.

Izuna, utilizing his Sharingan, anticipated Tobirama's movements with uncanny precision. However, Tobirama, anticipating this, feigned a kunai attack while simultaneously employing a sealing technique. Izuna, caught off guard, was struck by the unexpected seal. Seizing the opportunity, Tobirama closed the distance and swiftly wounded Izuna with his sword.

Madara, witnessing Izuna's critical injury, roared in fury and charged towards Tobirama, intent on avenging his brother.

Hashirama, sensing the imminent danger, intervened, "Stop, Tobirama!"

Tobirama, halted in his tracks, turned to face Hashirama.

Madara, cradling his injured brother, glared at Tobirama. Hashirama, extending a calming hand, offered a healing talisman,

"This might help heal Izuna."

Madara, initially hesitant, accepted the talisman. "What is this?" he inquired.

"It's a healing talisman," Hashirama explained, "created by a friend of mine, Ryuu, the leader of the Hidden Valley Village. Use it."

Madara, despite his lingering distrust, applied the talisman to Izuna's wounds. Miraculously, the talisman began to mend Izuna's injuries

.

Madara, his anger slowly subsiding, turned to Hashirama, "Thank you," he acknowledged grudgingly.

Hashirama nodded, a sense of relief washing over him.

With Izuna stabilized, Madara gathered his forces and retreated. Tobirama, shaken by the events, remained silent as he and his clan members withdrew from the battlefield.

Meanwhile, in the Hidden Valley Village, Ryuu, unaware of the events unfolding elsewhere, continued his duties as village leader. He received a report from his ANBU regarding the ongoing conflict between the Uchiha and Senju clans.

"So, Izuna was saved by the healing talisman?" Ryuu mused, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "Interesting."

He recalled the accounts of Izuna's death in previous timelines, but this time, the events had diverged. "Forget it," he dismissed the thought, "Why should I concern myself with their affairs?"

Later, Ryuu received a medical mission request from the Uchiha clan.

"Let's go and see what this is about," he said, a sense of intrigue piquing his interest.
