Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Violet's Demands

This kind of weak and innocent king didn't worry Shin in the slightest, so he would let it go.

"And my niece, Rebecca, also lives in seclusion here in Dressrosa. I hope you can bring her back," Violet continued.

In fact, Rebecca had once been wanted by the Donquixote Pirates, but Violet interfered early on. The Donquixote family didn't pay much attention; over the years, no one searched for her again.

However, Violet, who possessed the power of the Glare-Glare Fruit, had never forgotten her niece and observed her daily. Thus, she knew Rebecca's current situation well.

Even though the Donquixote family was ignoring her now, Rebecca's life in Dressrosa was still far from pleasant. The stigma that Doflamingo cast over them had not been cleared, leaving Rebecca's situation akin to that of Naruto Uzumaki. Luckily, she had some strength and protection from Toy Soldier Kyros; otherwise, she might not have survived.

Shin squinted, pondering momentarily, recalling the pink-haired girl—especially her bold style. Even in a world like this, her attire stood out, leaving a lasting impression.

"Alright, that's a small matter," Shin nodded.

"Also... I hope you will release the Princess of the Tontatta Tribe and the other enslaved dwarves," Violet continued.

"I recall that the little people produce the raw materials for artificial devil fruits," Shin said. "I can release them, but they'll still need to supply the materials for me. I'll pay them directly. All you need to do is convince them, and I'll release them."

In fact, even with Doflamingo's resources, exploiting the little people didn't bring him significant profit. Having them work willingly under a different arrangement was not impossible.

Doflamingo had enslaved the Tontatta Tribe mainly due to the poor relations between them. Shin, however, wasn't overly concerned about that. Given Violet's status as King Riku's daughter, she likely had some influence with the little people, enough to convince them to cooperate, so Shin left it to her.

"By the way, I remember that the Princess of the Tontatta Tribe has healing powers. I'd like to meet her as well."

The little princess's healing abilities were a remarkable asset. The power of a devil fruit draws on physical strength and this princess's strength...

Considering that the little people have unique talents, she might at least have the strength of a goose...

The healing ability itself was useful. Although it didn't hold much immediate benefit for Shin, it was worth examining. For instance, she could regenerate lost limbs, which Shin couldn't manage himself; he could only use his Munch-Munch Fruit abilities to reattach them.

He couldn't fully guarantee the restored strength of those limbs, but given his body modification skills and the quality materials he possessed, the flaw wasn't noticeable.

After hearing Shin's words, Violet's face showed concern. She knew the extent of the healing fruit's powers, and worried Shin might demand too much from the little princess.

The little princess would need to sacrifice her lifespan, given her limited stamina to use her healing powers, especially to regenerate limbs.

Yet Violet couldn't bring herself to voice her worries; instead, she hesitated in silence.

Shin, with some time to spare, wandered around Dressrosa again. Dressrosa had remarkable tourist spots and a lush natural environment. It also lay at the entrance of the New World, making it a prime location to visit.

Shin was puzzled about why the country remained poor under the rule of the Riku family. Given its natural resources, it shouldn't have struggled to prosper.

Eventually, he realized that while Dressrosa sat at the entrance to the New World, it also served as the pirates' first stop.

Newly arrived pirates, full of ambition and untested against the great forces, tended to rampage through Dressrosa, often leaving a trail of destruction.

Shin wasn't sure which was better, Doflamingo's rule or King Riku's.

Although Doflamingo was ruthless, he at least protected Dressrosa from the pirates. Under King Riku, however, pirate raids were an annual occurrence. This was likely why martial valor was held in such high esteem in Dressrosa—if the king couldn't defend them, the people had to protect themselves.

King Riku had trained hard, yet his combat skills could only match those of a dozen regular soldiers. Some things, after all, require both effort and talent.

The sun was setting when Shin returned to the Royal Palace. There, he found a group of new visitors.

Among them were a young, pink-haired girl who was already maturing at a young age and an old man with white hair and muscular arms who looked more like a gladiator than a king. There were also several little people, including a cute little princess with blond hair, a pointed nose, and a royal dress.

Violet stood in front of the group. When they saw Shin, their expressions varied—some were grateful, others resentful—but Shin paid no mind to it.

After a brief conversation, King Riku made a request: He wanted the palace guards, who had been turned into toys, restored. He promised he could convince them not to resist the Donquixote family.

In theory, Sugar's Hobby-Hobby fruit could erase all memory of someone's existence. But since King Riku had been captured long ago, and the Donquixote family didn't pay much attention to him, he had managed to gather some news from family members, learning that some of his guards were among the toys.

Shin didn't care much about the guards but didn't want to come across as too accommodating.

"If you can convince them, I can restore your guards. So, what will you offer in return?"

King Riku, now impoverished, hesitated, unsure of what he could possibly give.

"Then let me repay the debt!" the pink-haired girl suddenly declared. "I can work for you, along with my aunt!"
