Naruto: Fatherhood Made me Invincible

Chapter 86: Ch 86

In the distance, a massive black force loomed—a coalition army of tens of thousands of ninja, an overwhelming wave stretching as far as the eye could see. They gripped their weapons, their spirits alight with a relentless fighting spirit. Their armor gleamed menacingly in the setting sun.

Old Man Onoki clenched his fists, the sound of his bones grinding faintly audible. His eyes blazed with the promise of vengeance. The other Kage, lurking like shadows in his wake, brimmed with a similar eagerness—a raw, burning hatred combined with a fierce anticipation for the battle ahead. Memories of past humiliations inflicted by Kagami ignited their fury. Today, they pledged to repay their shame a hundredfold, to prove their strength and reclaim their honor.

Compared to the sprawling coalition, the small contingent from Konoha appeared insignificant—just over two thousand, a seemingly frail force against an ocean of enemies. The Konoha ninja's eyes widened in shock and fear. Their throats were dry, and beads of sweat trickled relentlessly down their foreheads. Though the sunlight cut across the battlefield, it failed to pierce the dread that weighed down on their hearts. The encroaching horde was a suffocating, oppressive black tide, pressing in from all sides. Above them, Madara and Hashirama emanated a terrifying pressure that felt like an invisible mountain, pinning them down.

"With these overwhelming numbers, can we realistically hope for victory?" an unspoken question whispered through the ranks, heavy as a millstone, squeezing the air from their chests. All eyes settled on Kagami's solitary figure—proud, resolute—a single beacon of hope in a sea of despair.

The very arrival of Kagami and his forces stirred whispers through the enemy camp. Madara's eyes snapped open, his scarlet gaze piercing through space, locking onto Kagami and the Konoha forces. The air froze; even breathing seemed an effort.

"You finally arrive, Kagami," Madara's low voice thundered, each word carrying the weight of a hammer striking the heart.

"Oh? You sound eager," Kagami answered, his expression indifferent, but a faint, knowing smile playing on his lips.

Their eyes met—Madara's blazing red against Kagami's endless void. Electricity crackled between them, showers of sparks lighting the tumultuous battlefield. Time itself seemed to halt, leaving only these two titans and the swirling chakra storm that erupted between them. The sheer force was apocalyptic, tearing the very fabric of space, wrecking trees and terrain alike.

"Are they even shinobis anymore? They are gods of war clashing!" the watching ninjas whispered breathlessly. Their spirits soared and trembled simultaneously; their eyes flashed with a mixture of fire and terror. The air thickened until it was suffocating. The riveting duel inspired both awe and terror—titans meeting, a cataclysm unleashed. Though they were mere mortals, they watched the spectacle with bated breath.

"These two are pure monsters!" was the silent verdict that echoed through their minds.

Vanishing and reappearing in flashes of impossible speed, Kagami and Madara exchanged devastating blows, their raw strength razing the terrain for meters around them, shattering both earth and any hope of interference. Only those truly loyal, those brave enough to stand firm in the face of annihilation, remained.

The battle of legends had begun.
