"Yes, I'd like to buy some snakes," Zeng Shen replied, casting his Peeping Eye at the owner.

Confirming Zeng Shen's interest, the owner eagerly introduced him to the snakes.

He pointed to a section of glass tanks containing several snakes. "These are king snakes. They're natural enemies of venomous snakes, immune to all snake venoms, and though aggressive, they can be tamed with regular interaction, making them suitable for beginners."

As the owner spoke, Zeng Shen focused on the first tank, which housed a black-and-white banded snake about a meter long. The label read "California King Snake" with a price of $100.

Not too expensive. Zeng Shen used his Peeping Eye.

A panel visible only to him appeared above the snake.

The system mentioned only intelligent species and their tamed beasts. This king snake was likely a tamed beast of the intelligent species, yet it seemed disconnected from the deity.

How did it have faith then? Puzzled, Zeng Shen tamed the snake and turned to the fifteen nearby tanks.

These tanks also contained California King Snakes of varying sizes. Zeng Shen used his Peeping Eye on each.

Eight snakes revealed panels, five with elite qualifications and three ordinary, while the rest wouldn't survive three years.

Without hesitation, Zeng Shen tamed all eight.

Turning to the owner, who was still enthusiastically talking about the snakes, Zeng Shen said, "I'll take these nine California King Snakes."

"Ah, all nine? Wonderful!" the owner confirmed excitedly.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

"No problem at all," the owner said, calling an assistant to collect the snakes and place them in a large tank, then offered Zeng Shen a card machine for payment.

"No rush, I want more," Zeng Shen waved him off, continuing deeper into the store.

Next to the California snakes were four tanks, each with two black snakes. These were another type of king snake, known for being easy to care for, priced at $100 each.

Zeng Shen used his Peeping Eye on the black snakes.

Luck was on his side. Six of the black snakes were destined to become dark-type Devil King Snakes, one with lord-level qualifications and five elite.

Yet, like the California snakes, they too had faith in a deity named Mesa.

Though Zeng Shen didn't know who Mesa was, it didn't matter. He wouldn't let these snakes go.

He tamed them all and informed the owner, "I'll take these six black snakes too."

"Certainly," the owner beamed, viewing Zeng Shen as a walking goldmine.

Seeing Zeng Shen head towards more tanks, the owner eagerly followed, introducing the snakes.

"These are hog-nosed snakes, named for their pig-like snouts. They're one of the four common pet snakes, slightly venomous but very weak. Their charm lies in their goofy demeanor, which is why many people love them."

Zeng Shen nodded, using his Peeping Eye on the snakes with reddish or yellow-white bodies, chubby and endearing.

Among the eight hog-nosed snakes, only one reddish snake revealed a panel.

Following Zeng Shen, the owner continued introducing more snakes.

The next section housed two long glass tanks, each containing over twenty small, brightly colored snakes, about 90 centimeters long and stout.

As Zeng Shen approached, a warning rang in his ear, and a vivid red panel appeared, vibrating intensely.
