My Stepmom Is A Vampire & Her Entire Bloodline Wants To Breed Me

Chapter 150: Vampire Hunter Association's HQ

The most beautiful flowers sometimes are the most poisonous ones. This might also apply to vampires, like Velstrath, Corvane, and now Draemir.

Seamus once believed that every vampire house reflected its emblem. Velstrath was marked by the serpent, and Isolde fit that symbol with her cunning nature.

Rowena brings death in every place she stays, carried the omen of ravens and crows. It made sense. Their house felt like a nest of quiet death.

Draemir, however, was represented by the wolf. Wolves usually symbolize loyalty, strength, unity, and the warmth of a pack. He assumed they would be similar.

But after today, they resembled wolfsbane far more, the beautiful flower that could kill with a single touch.

"I will drive all of you back to the mansion. I need to visit a place afterward," he said while they waited in the car for Dahlia, who was still cleaning herself.

Sirens echoed through the campus. Paramedics and police crowded the entrance. Two women were escorted out in handcuffs, laughing and singing like maniacs. A sheet-covered body followed soon after. Nadin.

The car fell into heavy silence. They all watched through the window, aware that, one way or another, they had caused it.

Before Lulu or Diane could speak, the front passenger door opened. Dahlia slid in, fastening her seatbelt without hesitation.

"Where are you going? To the Vampire Hunter Association? It is better to bring Diane and…" She turned to the back.

"Lulu," Lulu supplied.

"Yes, and Lulu too. They must report their visit to avoid complications later."

Dahlia continued, completely ignoring Diane's glare burning holes through the back of her seat.

"No need. They are already ruined," Diane muttered coldly.

"They are?" Seamus asked as he started driving.

"Aren't you his son? How do you not know?" Dahlia chuckled under her breath.

Seamus inhaled slowly. Everyone kept saying his father had destroyed the Vampire Hunter Association and the Seven Great Covenants, but it was still difficult to believe.

"Even if it is true, this place is too far from Bork for him to travel here, destroy everything, and return without anyone noticing," he finally said.

"He did not blow up their headquarters. Their higher-ups were simply not in the same location. That is all," Dahlia replied with a shrug.

"Well, let me decide after I hear the story from one of my father's supposed victims," he said with dry sarcasm.

They arrived at the Vampire Hunter Branch soon after. It was larger than the one in Bork, a European-style building in ivory stone with five tall floors.

The moment they stepped out of the car, every eye turned to them. More specifically, to Seamus.

They stared at him with confusion and tension, unsure what a boy was doing with vampires.

Dahlia leaned in slightly. "Do not give them your real name if someone asks."

Then she walked ahead as if she had not just dropped something important into his lap.

But remembering who killed his mother, he understood enough. His father slaughtering vampire hunters meant there had been some kind of conspiracy. Something dark and hidden.

His hands curled tightly. He followed Dahlia inside. While Lulu and Diane entered with him. Both looked uneasy, especially Diane, who kept glancing around as if searching for someone.

"What is wrong, Diane?"

"Nothing." She paused and then added, "I need to go to the toilet first."

"Toilet?" Seamus tilted his head.

Vampires did not use toilets. They drank blood, absorbed it into their core, and produced no waste. That was what Madeline told him, at least.

"Yes. Do you think women go to the toilet only to take out waste?"

"Well, yes. What else do you need to do?"

Seamus raised an eyebrow in genuine confusion.

She clicked her tongue, clearly annoyed. "I need to fix my clothes and makeup."

She stormed off before he could respond, leaving him standing there with absolutely no idea what he had done wrong.

But the rest continued as a woman with a neat bob cut and office attire walked up to them. She greeted them with a polite, practiced smile.

"Oh, isn't this Miss Dahlia. Do you have any business here today?"

"Long time no see, Ruby. You look older than the last time we met. How long has it been, two years?" Dahlia asked casually.

"It's actually been five," Ruby replied with an awkward laugh.

"Ah, right. Anyway, we want to register this girl as a visitor." Dahlia tapped Lulu's shoulder.

"And another girl from Velstrath, but she's… occupied at the moment."

"Velstrath?" Ruby blinked in surprise.

"Isolde didn't tell you anything?" Seamus asked.

Ruby shook her head. "We haven't been informed yet…"

The Matriarch was meticulous. She never forgot procedures, and neither did Ulrich. If they didn't bother to inform the Vampire Hunter Association…

'They must not consider the Association important in the first place.'

Seamus smiled politely to hide the thought. "Right. She actually asked me to tell the Association that we'll be staying on the island for a while."

"I see. Please follow me, then," Ruby said, leading them into a smaller room for the registration interview.

It felt a bit like being pulled into an airport interrogation room, except more relaxed and much less judgmental.

Of course, Seamus answered most of the questions. And with every answer, Ruby's expression tightened.

Especially when he mentioned that the entire Velstrath household had come along with the Emblem of Enigma herself.

Dahlia shot him a small, startled side glance. As if he had just said something incredibly reckless.

Maybe he had. But he figured it was better to tell the truth now than to let a disaster blindside these people later.

If something like what happened in Bork happened again, at least they'd have some warning.

It's not like he cares about them, but more about the civilians on this island.

"May I know who you are, Mr. Richard?" Ruby asked finally.

"You seem far more informed than the Velstrath members themselves." Her eyes flicked to Lulu, who blushed in embarrassment.

Seamus nearly choked on his drink but managed to recover smoothly. "I'm their new head butler. Lady Isolde briefed me thoroughly before we came. Lulu is simply shy, that's why she doesn't talk much."

"Oh, I see. Well, everything has been recorded. As long as Velstrath follows the rules, we welcome them." Ruby smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Seamus could tell the Association was anxious. Two Great Covenants on one island, refusing them would be asking for extinction. Accepting them might not guarantee safety either.

They chatted a bit longer before Ruby concluded the interview and escorted them back to the lounge.

Dahlia stayed beside him the whole time, wearing either a knowing smile or an intrigued one, he couldn't tell which.

As they stepped into the lounge, a man was already waiting. He waved energetically the moment he spotted Seamus.

Seamus raised a brow. He had never seen this man before. The man looked around his father's age, with black hair, green eyes, and a short beard along his jaw.

"Oh, are you Seamus Danford?" the man asked.

"Huh?" Seamus blinked, startled. "I'm not—"

But the man laughed, stepped forward, and clapped a hand on Seamus's shoulder. "You can't fool me. Those eyes… just like Alice's. How's your father Damien doing?"

His voice was loud enough for the entire floor to hear. People stopped walking. They watched not with curiosity but with disdain.

Seamus froze. Then grabbed the man by the collar and dragged him outside before anyone could blink. He tossed the man to the ground.

"Who are you? Did you say that on purpose?" he demanded.

The man stood up, brushed off his pants, and his expression turned ice-cold. "So what if I did? Your father nearly destroyed us. And you—the son of that monster—dare show your face here without shame?"

"What my father did has nothing to do with me!" Seamus shouted back.

"Hah!" The man laughed bitterly and stepped forward, jabbing a finger into Seamus's chest.

"You're the reason he did it. Your existence is a stain. You should've died back then."

Seamus's eyes widened. His voice trembled. "Were you the one who killed my mother?"

"Oh, I wish," the man snarled.

Seamus's fist connected with his face before he could take another breath. The man flew into a parked car hard enough to shatter the window.

As he slumped down, Seamus marched toward him, ready to finish it.

But Dahlia's hand caught his wrist with crushing force.

"Seamus. Everyone is watching."

He jolted and turned. The vampire hunters had already surrounded them, weapons drawn, eyes full of hatred.

He wasn't afraid. If they attacked him, he would cut them down without hesitation. They were the ones who killed his mother. He wasn't planning to forgive them.

He reached for a weapon—one of their swords—but instead his own bone reshaped itself sharply into his hand.

"Come on," he said, voice rising. "Attack me. Kill me like you killed my mother. I am the Crimson Nectar. The disgrace of this world. And I'll kill anyone who tries to mess with me."
