My Stepmom Is A Vampire & Her Entire Bloodline Wants To Breed Me

Chapter 149: Dahlia

Seamus, Lulu, and Diane were halfway back to the parking lot when they passed a quiet hallway that students rarely used.

They were casually talking when all three stopped at the same time, startled by a sharp, wicked laugh echoing ahead of them.

Three girls stood in a loose circle around someone kneeling on the floor. At first, they could only see long black hair hanging forward, hiding the person's face.

Then one of the girls grabbed a trash bag from the nearby bin, flipped it upside down, and dumped everything onto the kneeling figure.

Rotten food, paper, and a disgusting liquid were poured over the girl's hair and clothes.

The three bullies burst out laughing.

"You bitch. That's why I told you not to talk to Connor."

"Right? Should we just destroy her pretty little face? I have a nice knife with me."

Seamus had heard enough. He sprinted toward them shouting, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!"

The girls jumped, shocked by the sudden voice. One scoffed, "Who even are you? Her other boy that fucked her?"

"Damn, girl, you'll sell your body to anyone, huh?" another laughed and kicked the kneeling girl in the stomach, knocking her onto her side.

Seamus's expression twisted. He considered dumping the entire trash bin over the bullies, but Diane got there first.

She appeared between him and the girls, slapping all three in a single blur of motion. The sound echoed loudly through the empty hallway.

"Get the fuck out of here before I knock out your teeth and ruin your face," Diane shouted.

The girls looked at each other—rage mixed with terror—then ran for their lives.

Seamus let out a breath. Diane grumbled loudly, "Ugh. They think they're still in high school? Those lame girls. I'm gonna remember their names and make their lives miserable."

"It's alright, Diane. They aren't worth our time," Seamus said, patting her shoulder.

"Though we can tease them a bit if we see them again." He grinned.

When they turned back, Lulu was already helping the girl to her feet. She was covered in trash, smelled like garbage, and looked like someone dragged through a dumpster.

Her long black hair was stuck together, and her white shirt, cream sweater, and long skirt were all ruined.

"You okay?" Seamus asked.

The woman nodded gently. "Thank you for helping me. But next time… please don't interfere." She lifted her head, finally revealing her face.

She was stunning. Sharp siren-like eyes in a deep crimson with two moles below them, a small nose, and delicate lips. Even covered in trash she was undeniably beautiful.

Diane froze. "Dahlia?" Then groaned, "Tch. We should have just left her."

"What? A vampire?"

Seamus widened his eyes, remembering Ulrich had another daughter with that name. 'It can't be…'

Dahlia only smiled. "Wow, Diane, still rude as ever. At least say hello."

She began picking trash off her clothes and fixing her hair. Her attention shifted to Seamus.

"So you must be the charming Crimson Nectar. Nice to meet you."

She extended her hand, then laughed and waved instead. "Oops. Sorry. I'm dirty."

"What even are you doing? Getting bullied like this? Are you that pathetic?"

Diane grimaced at her. "You know vampires are the superior race, right?"

"Oh wow. Velstarth turned out to have a vampire supremacy ideology. Not surprising,"

Dahlia said dryly. "Why don't we talk in a more proper setting?"

Seamus and Lulu both stared at them with identical confused expressions.

"Wait… you're from Draemir? Why are you here? Why are you being bullied?" Seamus asked.

"Research. I'm studying humanity," Dahlia replied.

"What research requires you to get bullied?" Seamus raised an eyebrow, this whole situation was too absurd to take seriously.

"Isn't it obvious? She's a masochist," Diane said.

"I'm not a masochist. I simply want to observe how cruel humans can be toward their own peers, especially over territory and mates."

Seamus blinked. He had no idea how to respond.

"And your results?" Diane asked.

"Well, they're all just petty girls with low self-esteem and trust issues. They could do better, but for women who live off male validation and spend their entire life fighting over mates, this is already impressive." Dahlia said it with a straight face, her cheek still swollen red.

Seamus exhaled slowly. "Are all members of Draemir freaks?"

All three women paused, then burst out laughing.

"Oh. A human with a strange sense of humor. That's unusual. You really are a charming little Crimson Nectar," Dahlia said, tilting her head with interest.

Diane instantly stepped in front of him like a guard dog. "He's mine."

Dahlia chuckled. "Wow. Another woman with low self-esteem and territorial behavior. Careful, Diane. According to my research, men usually hate women like that."

Diane gasped, ready to protest, but Seamus covered her mouth.

"For the record, I don't hate jealous women as long as it's not extreme. And humans and vampires are way more complicated than your 'research,' which isn't even following any scientific method," he said.

Diane's annoyance instantly flipped into a wide grin, proud that Seamus took her side.

Dahlia's eyes brightened. "Then why don't we prove it? Either you're right or I am. What do you think?"

Seamus wanted absolutely nothing to do with this experiment. But refusing meant admitting she was right, and that would only push Diane into another meltdown. He sighed heavily.

"Fine. But I don't care about the result. Just stop fighting. I'm tired of hearing everyone bicker."

"Fine with me. Fighting wasn't my intention," Dahlia said. She glanced at Diane as Seamus lowered his hand.

"Fine. I won't get jealous anymore," Diane said with a frown. "I'll try to be more mature."

Seamus only nodded, fully aware she would forget that promise in ten minutes.

"Follow me. We'll see who's right," Dahlia said, turning to lead them elsewhere.

***

Dahlia guided them into the indoor field normally used for basketball matches. The three women they had seen earlier were already there.

They were laughing together and pointing at a phone, completely absorbed as if they were watching the funniest thing in the world.

Seamus, Lulu, Diane, and Dahlia took seats on the bleachers and simply watched them, almost like an audience in a theatre.

Strangely, the women did not notice them at all.

Seamus realized something was off when Lulu hit the metal seat by accident. The sound echoed loudly in the empty court, yet the three women did not react.

"They cannot see us?" he asked.

Dahlia shook her head. "This is part of my Bloodstyle, Seamus. Just watch them for now."

She pricked her finger with a needle. Her blood floated upward and shaped itself into a thin needle before she flicked it toward the three women, striking each of them.

"What are you doing?" Seamus turned to her with a confused look.

"Just watch," she said, almost amused.

The change happened instantly. The three women's expressions twisted into something ugly. Two of them turned on the blonde girl, Nadin, with disgust and anger.

"I cannot believe you kissed Connor," Anna said. Her voice was sharp and full of accusation.

"What? No. I would never do that to you," Nadin protested, panicked.

"Then what is this, Nadin?" Anna held up her phone, showing it to her.

"That is fake. I never did that. It is edited or AI or something," Nadin insisted, trying desperately to defend herself.

Seamus and Lulu squinted at the screen but saw nothing. The phone display was pitch black.

"What is happening?" Lulu asked.

"Is it a hallucination?" Seamus added.

Dahlia did not answer. Diane only rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, "Such a show off."

The argument suddenly spiraled. Anna snapped and lunged at Nadin, forcing her to the floor and climbing on top of her. She started punching her without hesitation.

"I thought we were friends, stupid bitch. You stabbed me behind my back!"

Nadin tried to cover her face, but Anna's strength was overwhelming. Her nose cracked with a loud snap, and blood spread across her face.

She could only sob and apologize while trying to escape.

The third woman stepped closer and lifted a pair of scissors. "Why don't we cut her hair? Connor only likes her because she is blonde."

"Nice. Give it to me," Anna said, her eyes bloodshot with rage.

Nadin screamed and cried as Anna grabbed her hair and hacked it off, each cut violent and uneven. But Anna did not stop there.

"And your face too," Anna said with a disturbingly wide grin. "Let us destroy it so no one can love you again."

She pressed the sharp end of the scissors against Nadin's cheek and dragged it across, ripping her mouth wider and wider until it stretched grotesquely across her face.

Seamus and Lulu froze, horror creeping up their spines. The bullies were no longer just bullies.

They were completely consumed by Dahlia's influence, laughing and celebrating like maniacs as they stabbed Nadia again and again.

Blood splattered across their clothes, but they didn't care.

"Stop. I think that is enough," Seamus said. "Won't Aconite punish you for this?"

"Do you feel sorry for them?" Dahlia leaned back, clearly enjoying herself. "But Ulrich said you killed your bully. Is this not hypocrisy?"

Seamus opened his mouth but closed it again. She was right, but seeing the bullies behave like demons just to prove her point felt wrong in a different way.

"Fine. Your result about that research is right," he finally said. "Let them go."

"Are you sure? If I release them now, they might kill themselves afterward. Are you alright with that?" She tilted her head, almost curious.

He rubbed his temple and looked at the three again. Anna was now dancing across the court, holding Nadin's severed head like a trophy. The remaining girl cheered her on, laughing like a madwoman.

He did not fear them. What unsettled him was Dahlia, and maybe the rest of Draemir by extension.

They were all insane.

They were worse than Velstrath.
