My SSS-Rank Dungeon: Reborn In A Reverse World

Chapter 127: Incoming Of Elites

The next few days were a blur to Leon, who spent most of it locked up in his room. There were few things he could do in the current state of the Academy where everyone was busy either finding the murderer or preparing for the Conclave.

Of course, that 'Murderer' was already caught and sentenced to death. It was revealed that the murderer was actually a girl sent by Saylin's enemies.

Taking advantage of the preparations for the Conclave, that girl used her connections and brought a special undetectable poison inside the Academy.

There were some insiders involved who were also punished, and one of them was even executed publicly. There were a few more points that Leon had skipped because he knew this was only half-truth.

A much bigger truth was being hidden under this show, which only a few knew. And even if others didn't know it, they could certainly guess that the murder wasn't as simple as the Academy claimed it to be.

Still, there was nothing they could do about it.

That was how the fiasco with the whole assassination ended, but the students were still given a short break where they had to prepare for the Conclave.

After all, students would be the ones performing before the Cabinet of the Council of Nine and various other powerhouses and influential people.

They would see their growth and decide if they wanted to continue funding the Academy or not. Or at least that was what was said to be on paper.

Leon's class was no different, especially since Amber had been busy with her investigations lately, but she tried to fool others by masking it behind a cold persona as if she was heavily affected by her student's death.

It was something Leon told her to do.

Due to their developing relationship, Amber's mental health was much better than it should have been, but their enemies didn't need to know that.

That was also why they kept their relationship secret.

It was one of the few advantages they had against their enemies who seemed to be all-knowing.

Aside from formulating many plans for the Conclave and helping out his friends, Leon spent most of his time in the Dungeon trying to find Energy Orbs and Skill Stones.

Those two were really necessary for the current him.

But he also gave enough time to practice his skills and learn to control his strength so he could maximize it. After all, he had gained such a boost in his Level.

Of course, his focus was also on mastering the Galactus Shatterpulse Technique along with the Air Cannon. And also other Skills he had asked Amber for.

He pushed himself to the limit because he wanted to be as prepared as possible. He didn't want the tragedy of the Flame Knight Dungeon to repeat.

Even if only three people died that day, those kills were still on him and Silver. Leon didn't like that, and so he prepared heavily for anything that the enemies might use.

Before long, it was 24th January and the Academy opened its gates for the world yet again. This time, it was for the top influential people of the Western Continent.

The security was at its highest as many kinds of Rune Formations had been deployed which wouldn't usually be used because of the consumption rate, but the Academy was very serious about the Conclave so they didn't care about the cost.

Many former students had been called upon, and the Academy also brought many of its people from the Primordial Expanse to safeguard the Academy.

They were the elites who roamed the Corrupted Lands and had managed to survive till now. They were the best security one could have in this dying world.

Banners rose, fireworks illuminated the skies as dozens of luxurious vehicles entered the Academy's premises one by one.

Each carried a powerful person who commanded great authority in human society of the Western Continent. Every single one of them would decide the future of the Western Continent today.

Many of them brought their own kids and elites to compete with the Awakened from the Academy. In a way, it was a challenge to all students of the Academy too.

After all, many of these kids belonged to other Academies who were eyeing the resources allotted to Starlink Academy. If they managed to show the world that students of Starlink Academy were weaklings, then they would have much higher chances of getting more resources.

There was also the fact that if these Students from other Academies did well, then they could be recruited into clans that specialized in exploring the Primordial Expanse.

Or they could even get sponsorship, which was one of the best-case scenarios. Any and all Awakened needed resources more than anything, so these sponsorships were very enticing to the students.

They were excited to showcase their talent and set their future on the right track.

In the end, it was all just a stage where the future of many people would be decided.

While everyone was warming up, releasing their nervousness, or just preparing for the worst, Leon was inside the Dormant Hall and talking to Silver.

It really had become a habit for him to visit Silver and tell her all kinds of nonsense or simply narrate a novel from his previous life.

All that mattered was that she knew he was there for her by listening to his voice. He knew it was just him coping with the fact she might not return ever since her soul was in a completely different universe, but he still wanted to do it.

Hope was a poison and also a potion of salvation. As long as one had hope, they had the will to do anything. And for someone like Silver, that was all she needed.

Leon knew her talent was simply ridiculous. She had single-handedly slaughtered a whole Death Zone in the game.

All she needed was the will to survive and fight.

"You know, I was wondering if you'll have really long hair when you come back or you might even stink like pigs," Leon chuckled to himself as he leaned against the glass wall. "But you don't need to worry about that. I'll develop a soap which can cleanse you in a second."

He was nervous for the big day even though he had prepared a lot. He feared the consequences of things that would happen all because of revenge.

Still, talking to Silver had made him relaxed. It filled him with confidence and motivation. She was fighting her battles there in the Corrupted Lands for him, so he also needed to win here.

How could he fail her like that?

"I'm sure you'll get some alien features after this short trip, so what will you become? A foxian? A dog?" Leon laughed at his joke and added. "Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun with it."

He paused, thoughts of Event Two passing through his head.

"You can rest assured about those bastards who did this to you. Today, it shall mark the start of my revenge on them. They think they have everything in control, but I'll show them how stupid they are. They'll pay for what they did to you."

Just then, the door on his side slid open, revealing two stunning women as they strolled toward Leon.

Leon raised an eyebrow seeing Amber. She looked stunningly handsome — yes, that was the perfect term — with those high-waisted pants along with a white shirt with rolled sleeves and a button undone that showcased her confidence and striking figure.

He was mesmerized by her looks and like the shameless fellow he was, he ogled at her up and down. She was his girlfriend, so he had the right to admire her figure.

Amber's lips curled up sensing his heated gaze. She had to say she loved the way he undressed her with his eyes alone. It made her giddy from inside.

"Seen enough?" She asked, knowing very well what the answer would be.

"I can never get enough of it, honey~" Leon said languidly, his lips upturning in a soft, lazy smile. "It's like seeing a new piece of a puzzle every time I look at you and I want to solve that puzzle every single time."

"Smooth!" Amber chuckled and asked. "Aren't you worried about others knowing our relationship? We have outsiders with us."

Only then did Leon shift his gaze toward the other woman, who was like Amber's little sister in the figure department. The way her body curved certainly lit up a fire in men's hearts.

Adding to how that suspender emphasized her S-shaped figure, she truly looked beautiful, but also very deadly.

She had done her deep blue hair in a back bun while her cyan eyes had widened in shock and disbelief. Leon could see it clearly even though she quickly tried to hide it behind her calm and decisive behavior.

Leon didn't know her as she wasn't in the game, but he had to say she matched the top female characters in looks alone.

"It's fine, isn't it? Miss Bodyguard can join us for some fun in bed."
