My SSS-Rank Dungeon: Reborn In A Reverse World

Chapter 122: Warm Embrace

Amber and Leon had broken their kiss, but they stayed in the same position. Their hot breaths awakened something deep within them as they stared into each other's eyes without a word.

Then, Amber lightly pushed Leon away and took a deep breath to calm herself, at the same time using her powers to control the raging heat inside her body.

As the Ruler of Flames and Ice, she never thought she would actually feel heat in this way, but this man standing before her had managed to ignite it.

While Leon raised an eyebrow in silent question, she finally spoke. "Don't take a step forward, and don't even try to tempt me. I won't be able to control myself."

A mischievous glint passed through Leon's eyes as he asked, "Oh? Do I really have such control over your emotions?"

"Yes," Amber replied without the slightest hesitation.

"Then, what's the problem?" Leon smiled and asked, though he deliberately didn't step forward.

"That's exactly the problem," Amber sighed, disappointment and frustration laced in her tone. "Just one kiss almost made me lose control of my strength. Now imagine what would happen if we have sex? I'm afraid I'll lose control immediately and crush your dick inside my vagina by mistake."

"You don't have to be so descriptive!" Leon's lips twitched at her blunt words, his body shivering just from the thought alone.

"I'm just telling the truth. I really don't think I can remain in control around you," Amber shrugged and went to sit on the bed, her clothes still slightly disheveled but she didn't seem to care in the least. "I need to make sure it remains in the right condition considering I'm going to use it for the rest of my life."

Leon couldn't help bursting into laughter at her words. Indeed, this was Amber Frost—straightforward, ridiculous, and her brain always functioned in weird, unconventional ways.

He walked over and sat beside her, then asked, "Just to confirm, we are dating, right?"

"You can't back away if you're thinking of that," Amber said with an unfriendly smile. "You've taken my first kiss, so now we're bound for life."

"I don't even wanna think about leaving you," Leon smiled and said sincerely. "I really love you."

"I also want to say the same, but I don't know if what I feel is love or not," Amber admitted truthfully. "But I do want to spend the rest of my life with you. That much I can promise. Even if I'm weird, I'll try my best to be the best life partner for you."

"That's more than enough," Leon held her hand and smiled warmly.

It was a surreal feeling. He had loved Amber throughout the journey of the game, and it only intensified when he finally met her in real life. It was safe to say he fell harder for her every time they met.

So, he couldn't even describe the euphoria flooding his chest. Even if everything had happened in the heat of the moment, both of them were sure of their feelings.

It made Leon so happy that he even forgot about the sword hanging over his head named Event Two and its looming dangers.

Amber thought for a second before standing up and, to his surprise, sat comfortably on his lap. Leon blinked, shocked. He hadn't expected her to be this aggressive and take the initiative to be intimate.

But was he complaining? Hell no!!

He just wrapped his arms around her slender waist while she draped her hands around his neck and nodded in satisfaction.

"I've seen couples doing this, but I never understood the appeal," Amber smiled faintly and said. "But now I understand. It can definitely become my favorite position."

"Hmm, same here. Your fragrance is intoxicating, and your—"

Before he could even complete his words, Amber quickly placed her hand on his mouth and said in a low, warning voice, "I told you not to tempt me!"

Leon smirked and deliberately licked her fingers, earning himself a light hit on the shoulder as Amber glared at him in anger. But all Leon could see was a cute fox trying to look fierce yet failing miserably.

He chuckled at his own thoughts and said, "It feels great to know that even my words can turn you on."

Amber snorted in reply, but a subtle smile curved her lips.

"Still, I didn't think it would be your first kiss," Leon said, enjoying the warmth of her body pressed against his. "I mean, you usually have a habit of venting out your emotions, right?"

"How do you know that?" Amber narrowed her eyes at him in suspicion.

"Because it's way too easy to see," Leon shrugged casually. "So, you were never in heat or anything? Never wanted to try out sex or at least simple things like kissing?"

"You really think anyone would want to be with me? Only an insane idiot like you would dare to do that," Amber laughed bitterly and said.

"I'm pretty sure you could have gotten it if you wanted to."

"What are you? A worm inside my stomach?" Amber sighed and said. "It's because of my Master. I inherited my love of old-fashioned things from her, and she drilled some old traditions into me too. Like how a kiss and sex should be reserved for someone I'm sure I'll spend my life with. I never felt that certainty before, so I kept it safe."

"Then I'm definitely a lucky guy. I gotta thank your Master," Leon said with a grin. "After all, I want those lips all for myself."

"Aghh! Let's move on to serious topics." Amber looked away from his emerald eyes, which were far too tempting. Why didn't she feel this kind of attraction before?

"We're already on it," Leon said in a more serious tone. "I know you're reckless, but you're not reckless enough to do something like this without thinking. You did this knowing it would help your mental state, didn't you?"

"You know, I really hate your perceptive nature sometimes," Amber stated in a bitter voice.

"Heard that plenty of times," Leon smiled. "And right now, we're going through your therapy."

"I really wanna kill them," Amber said, resting her head against his shoulder. "I've lost many in the past, but it always feels the same whenever innocents die because of me."

"If it makes you feel better, then remember it might not be entirely because of you," Leon said softly. "I'm sure her mother is involved in this as well."

"Whatever the case, another student died and I couldn't do anything. Those rotten egg-faced bastards are probably watching everything with joy. I hate even thinking about it," Amber gritted her teeth in anger.

Leon closed his eyes, recalling something that had been gnawing at the back of his mind, something he felt was directly related to this matter. Suddenly, his eyes snapped open as he muttered, "I think I know how to get to them."

Amber straightened up instantly, hope flaring in her eyes as she asked, "How?"

If it was anyone else, she might not have believed it, but because it was Leon, she was fully confident in his words.

"I'll tell you, but I wanna say something first," Leon said, staring into her eyes. "This much wasn't enough to make you lose control, and even if they used corruption again, it would be hard or even impossible. But they definitely know about the Clearwill Potion, so they'll prepare for that too. Everything that's happened so far was just laying the foundation for something bigger they want to use against you."

"The best way to defeat someone like me has always been to use inner corruption. That's the one weakness they can exploit," Amber said firmly. "But it's not like we don't have any ways to defend against it, so you don't need to worry. Still, I'll remember your words. They may use methods we don't even know yet."

"Yup. I'm pretty sure they'll try to lure you away to some place where they can execute their plan," Leon said.

"Shouldn't it be the opposite?" Amber asked, clearly confused. "I can assure you that even if they have some means to stimulate my corruption, it won't be an easy victory for them."

"And that's exactly what they want," Leon shrugged. "You'll be the distraction, the one who draws all attention, so they can carry out something right under everyone's nose."

"It's certainly possible," Amber nodded in agreement. "I'll inform Morgon too. She'll make changes in security accordingly."

"Can we trust her?" Leon asked. "Don't get me wrong, but the higher-ups are the main suspects, so it wouldn't be surprising if she turned out to be the traitor."

"No, I can vouch for her," Amber shook her head firmly. "She's far too lazy to play these political games, and more importantly, she hates our enemies just as much as I do. Before you ask, yes, I have a clue on who our enemy is, but I can't tell you who they are."

"Then it's fine," Leon sighed in relief. "It would've been a huge problem if the Vice Headmistress herself was the traitor."

"Now out with it," Amber insisted. "What clue did you find?"

Leon thought about his guess again, and the more he considered it, the more certain he felt about it. He turned to the side, his voice low but steady as he said, "The cafeteria."
