After hearing this explanation, the long-haired beauty nurse dropped her negative opinion of Lin Yifan; if things were as Lin Yifan described, then his actions were faultless. However, without seeing it with her own eyes or having evidence to back it up, she still reserved some doubt in her mind.

"I never thought this thief would be so vicious, to think of murdering when he couldn't escape; handsome, you did the right thing! I support you!" the friend of the long-haired beauty nurse said vehemently.

"Here you go!" Lin Yifan handed the teal bag to the woman wearing the light teal dress.

Taking the bag, the woman said gratefully, "Thank you."

"Don't mention it!" Lin Yifan responded, then handed another bag to the long-haired beautiful nurse.

After taking the bag, the long-haired beautiful nurse also expressed her thanks.

"Helped you twice now, when are you going to treat me to a meal?" Yifan asked playfully.

"Where are you two heading? I can give you a lift!" Lin Yifan offered as they stepped onto the sidewalk.

In fact, he just wanted to kindly offer them a ride since a portion of the road ahead was pitch dark and rarely had any pedestrians; he was worried that the two fragile women might get mugged again, or experience harassment of the like. Little did he expect that Xiaoqing would misinterpret his intentions as wanting to get close to Li Xiangmei. That was enough to make anyone dizzy.

If in the end he did get along with Li Xiangmei, it would definitely be thanks, in no small part, to Xiaoqing.
