My Primordial Demon System

Chapter 68: Forced Evolution

Elena rushed forward through the barrage and began attacking, each slash faster and precise. But the demon was skilled; it attacked with powerful slashes that would kill the average man in an instant.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Sword and claws collided. Elena struck fast and decisive, every swing had meaning to it. The demon was getting pushed back; it couldn't handle all five versus one.

Silva came running from the side, he attacked with a full claws strike from the side and the demon was forced to retreat to get away.

It dodged the attack and stood there, its eyes blazing with anger.

"You humans have done enough," it roared. Its body began making popping and shifting sounds, it kept going until two long large exoskeleton arms tore out its back with long black claws.

"Demonic art, Hands of the Devil."

Massive fireballs the size of a basketball formed on each of the new hands, it hurled them as fast as it could.

The first one went for Elena; she dodged the fireball, it slammed into the ground and exploded, throwing her back. The second went for Lily; she attacked with her chain, meeting the fireball halfway. It exploded and threw her chain back.

Silva watched this, he gritted his teeth. He had a few seconds and his Minotaur's Rage was over. He lunged forward, his eyes trained on all arms, his sensing picking up every movement.

The demon noticed him as well and began attacking with fireballs. Silva dodged each one as best as he could, the fireballs surrounded him, but he spotted the smallest opening possible and charged for it.

He made it through without being touched by even a single flame. He tackled the demon right to the ground, got up before it could and punched it right in the face.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" the demon roared and released a powerful blast of flame breath. Silva crossed his arms, he took the brunt of the full attack, his gauntlets blocking some, and his body taking the rest.

"Silva!" Elena yelled. She dashed forward, "Andrew, cover," she said.

Andrew nodded and ran behind her. He took a deep breath and gripped his sword tight. He pointed it forward, swords made of light formed around him, ten in total.

Elena dashed in fast, she grabbed Silva and pulled him out. The demon tried to stop her, but was immediately met with light sword after light sword, each one hot and leaving a deep stab.

Lily joined in to help, she spun around the chain. The flames around it burned bright then compressed onto the chain, making it glow from the heat. She swung the chain, it dragged from the floor where it ripped apart the ground as it moved and slammed into the chest of the demon, sending it flying back several meters.

Then she gave chase, "I'm not done yet." She leaped into the air, the chain retracted and wrapped around her arm like a gauntlet.

She threw a punch, it ripped through the air, crackling like thunder.

BOOOOM!

The punch slammed into the face of the demon, bones shattered under it, a shockwave so massive tore through the desert. The ground trembled and caved in, leaving a massive crater under the demon, its head was almost blown off.

"Lady Lily, back away," Andrew yelled and then raised his sword above his head. A massive sword of light formed, over five meters long, it struck down right into the heart of the demon.

"Arghhhhhhhhhh!"

The demon roared in pain, blood splattered all around. But it wasn't dead yet.

Elena dropped Silva down, she looked at him in a panic, she was certain that he was hurt, but then she saw the burns on his body healing up.

Silva looked at her with a smile on his face, but she wasn't smiling.

"Your wounds, how did they heal?" she asked, a suspicious look on her face.

Silva looked at her, not knowing what to answer with, when suddenly a fireball headed their way. Silva sensed it first, he got up, took out his Trident, spun it, and slashed through the fireball.

"We don't have the time for that, let's end this already. Bring it down and I'll get the head," Silva said.

She got up and gave him a nod, then took a deep breath, her eyes locked on the demon that was struggling to get up. She shot forward like a bullet.

Her speed was almost instantaneous, she leaped into the air and slashed down, releasing a flurry of heavy wind blades. The demon had no way to block any of them, they cut deep into its body, its entire body was covered in so many cuts that healing became difficult.

Silva lunged forward after that, he spun the Trident around, "You might be a demon, but you alone against the five of us was far too cocky," he said and threw the Trident. It tore through the air, penetrated the head of the demon, and ripped it off.

The body of the demon collapsed to the ground there.

[Forced Evolution countdown starting, one minute.]

Silva saw the messages and immediately panicked. One minute? There was no way he could get anywhere in that time.

He looked at Elena who was standing there; that was his only option here.

"Elena!" he yelled her name. She turned her head, confused.

"I need your help," he said before the timer struck zero. He collapsed to the ground there.
