Chapter 6: Bloodlines, Shameless Summons, and the Black Cat

The golden dragon egg pulsed with energy as Kayode sat cross-legged in front of it. Days had passed since the chaotic events in the dragon lair, and the egg had been glowing brighter each day.

In that time, Kayode had been training diligently, feeling the energy within his body grow stronger and more refined. Finally, he heard the system chime in:

---

Cultivation Stage Advanced: Mid Stage Foundation Establishment realm.

New Technique Unlocked: Bloodline Devourer

A.P +20

Description: Absorb the essence of bloodlines to enhance your own strength, granting unique attributes based on the absorbed bloodline.

Note- You are not able to absorb bloodlines of divine and ancestral level being bloodlines (Yet!).

---

Kayode frowned. "Bloodline Devourer? This sounds shady."

The system's voice was as smug as ever. "Shady? It's genius! Think about it—no matter what kind of creature or person you face, you can harvest their power. Dragons, spirit beasts, even cultivators with rare bloodlines—it's all yours for the taking!"

Kayode scratched his head. "I feel like this might make me a target."

"You're already carrying a golden dragon egg, Kayode. You are already a target. Embrace the chaos!"

Kayode sighed. "Fine. But I'm not using it unless absolutely necessary."

"Hehe." The system laughed evilly.

---

As Kayode continued to cultivate, he felt a familiar, faint tremor in the air, a sign of danger.

Before he could react, several figures emerged from the forest. They were rogue cultivators, their auras radiating malice.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" the leader sneered, his eyes narrowing at the glowing dragon egg. "Looks like we've hit the jackpot, boys."

Kayode instinctively stepped in front of the egg, raising his makeshift staff. "Back off. I'm warning you."

The leader laughed. "A warning? From a Mid-3foundation establishment weakling? Hand over the egg, and we might let you live."

Kayode clenched his jaw. "System, I need backup. Now!"

"You want backup? Let's make it interesting!"

Kayode activated the Summon Comedian and actor Spirit option again, and the golden portal flared to life.

This time, out stepped Mr. Ibu, his belly bouncing as he laughed heartily.

Kayode's face turned pale. "Oh no. Not him."

Mr. Ibu looked around, hands on his hips. "Who are these raggedy cultivators? Did you summon me to deal with these riffraff?"

The rogue cultivators froze, confused. "Who… who is this clown?"

Mr. Ibu smirked and waved dismissively. "Clown? My friend, you're lucky I don't summon my slippers to deal with you. Kayode, why are you even talking to these people? Where is my jollof rice?"

Kayode buried his face in his hands. "I didn't summon you for jollof rice! They're trying to kill me!"

Mr. Ibu's eyes widened in mock surprise. "Eh? Kill you? Is that why you summoned me you can't even deal with this craps. Sigh! What a waste?" He turned to the rogue cultivators. "Do you know who I am? You've just made the biggest mistake of your lives!"

Kayode blushed with shame when he heard those words because indeed he had been too reliant on the system ever since he heard he could summon spirits to fight for him.

Luckily the system chimed in. "Congratulations! You've summoned Mr. Ibu, Spirit of Unpredictability and Chaos. His abilities include:

Slipper Strike: A ranged slippers attack with absurd power.

Belly of Deflection: Reflects enemy attacks with his legendary belly.

Ultimate Shamelessness: Lowers enemies' intelligence by 90%."

Kayode sighed. "This system is out of control."

Mr. Ibu grinned, pulling out a glowing slipper from thin air. "Let's teach these people a lesson!"

The rogue cultivators charged because the couldn't sense any cultivation from him and there was no spirit ring on any of his fingers, their weapons glowing with Qi energy. Mr. Ibu, unbothered, raised the slipper and flung it with incredible speed. It struck the leader square in the forehead, sending him flying into a tree.

The others hesitated, stunned. "What kind of bizarre technique is that?!" fearfully some quickly distanced themselves from mr ibu thinking they've left the range of his attacks

"Slipper Strike!" Mr. Ibu shouted proudly.

The remaining cultivators tried to attack, but Mr. Ibu's Belly of Deflection activated, sending their Qi blasts skyrocketing back at them. Within moments, the rogues were either unconscious or fleeing for their lives.

Kayode stared in disbelief. "I can't believe that worked."

Mr. Ibu dusted off his hands. "Next time, summon me for something serious. Like pounded yam." With that, he vanished in a flash of light.

The Egg Hatches

After the fight, Kayode turned his attention back to the dragon egg, which was now glowing so brightly it was almost blinding.

"System, what's happening?"

"Oh, it's about to hatch. Get ready!"

The egg began to crack, small fissures spreading across its golden surface. Kayode stepped back nervously as a strange, soothing melody filled the air.

With a final, loud crack, the egg split open, and a small creature emerged. But it wasn't the baby dragon Kayode had been expecting.

Instead, a sleek, black cat with golden eyes leaped gracefully from the remnants of the egg. Its fur shimmered faintly, and its eyes radiated intelligence and power far beyond that of a normal animal.

Kayode blinked. "A… cat? I went through all of that for a cat?"

For a moment kayode doubted the genes of dragon.

The cat stretched lazily, then sat down and stared at him with an almost condescending expression.

"Congratulations!" the system announced. "You've hatched a Black Dragon Cat, a rare and powerful beast capable of growing into a legendary creature. Don't underestimate it!"

The cat yawned, its tiny fangs glinting in the light. Then, without warning, it pounced onto Kayode's shoulder and made itself comfortable.

Kayode sighed. "Great. Just great. I'm stuck with a shameless system, ridiculous summons, and now a cat that thinks it owns me."

The cat licked its paw and purred softly.

The system chuckled. "You're doing great, Kayode. Trust me, the best is yet to come."

Kayode shook his head, resigned to his chaotic new life.
