My Magical System

Chapter 341: The seashell

For most, it would take years and years of intense training to break through to each stage. And for geniuses and talented individuals, it would take months of intense training to break through each stage.

But there were only a few young genius people in the empire and most of them were from well-known noble families.

The young man in front of him— he couldn't recognize him.

'How can this young man be so strong?' The hunter thought as he gritted his teeth in frustration. Losing two of his companions was a very big loss to the organization. Those two were both high-levels and the organization already spent an insurmountable amount of resources just to help them grow. And yet, this young man killed them in an instant? The hunter thought in disbelief.

Amid frustration, a grin appeared on his face when an idea suddenly popped into his mind.

"Youngman, you're so strong for such a young age. How about joining our organization? Talented young people like you are very much welcome to our group. If you join us, you will no longer have to care about money and resources. You'll get enough benefits tantamount to your talent."

The hunter grinned. He believed no one could reject such an offer. At least for him, any smart person would not think twice to accept it.

To his surprise, Eman's response was very cold.

"Heh, I don't need anything but your head."

The hunter's eyes gleamed. "Don't underestimate me, bastard!" A strong murderous aura burst out from the hunter.

He wanted to be lenient but the young man seemed not as smart as he thought he was. Although the young man was strong, it didn't mean that he didn't have a trump card to defeat him.

"Your arrogance will be your downfall, kid!" The hunter gritted his teeth. 'It was too soon to use it, but the situation calls for it. It's now or never!'

Eman looked in surprise as the enemy took out something.

An item he did not expect to appear in that place. A big golden seashell. Upon seeing it, he remembered something.

'That's the item the guardian dragon was talking about, isn't it?' Eman thought in disbelief.

Who would have thought that it was in the enemy's hand all this time?

"Hehe. With this… I'll make you regret what you did to my companions!"

The hunter brought the golden seashell in front of his mouth. Then, after exhaling a mouthful of air in it, a loud noise came out.

BAAAA~~~

It was as though the whole forest was screaming.

Eman blinked his eyes. According to the guardian dragon, this item could scare away the miasmatic colony. It was supposed to be a good thing, but why did he have a bad feeling when the hunter used it?

The forest shook. After a few seconds, countless shadows flew into the sky, blanketing the starless sky.

Eman wondered what those things were, but as soon as he focused his eyes on them, he noticed they were the bees.

Ha? He already killed many of them this morning, but it turned out there was still more hidden in the forest.

The sky above him was immediately covered by those creatures. As the hum of the golden seashell continued, all of the bees suddenly dove towards him.

Seeing the young man's figure disappear in the sea of bee colonies, the hunter laughed out loud.

"Buwahaha! That's what you get when you underestimate your opponent!"

There's no way the young man could survive that, the hunter thought.

But to his surprise, a dome-like mound of earth protected the young man from the bees.

"Fuck! You're an earth magician?!"

Right after saying that, a shadow appeared right beside him and snapped away the seashell from him.

Eh?!

The hunter was startled and shocked. Looked at his empty hand in confusion.

He noticed the person who took the seashell was no other than the young man.

But wasn't he facing the bees just now? The hunter thought in puzzlement. There was a few dozen meters away from where he was a second ago and to his current location.

What kind of instantaneous movement was that? Not even the members of the Assassin Guild could move like that.

"How did you move so quickly?"

"There's no reason to answer a dead man's question," Eman replied coldly.

"What do you mean?" The hunter asked. Confusion was visible in his eyes. However, at the next moment, his head slowly slid from his neck and fell to the ground.

The hunter did not even notice when Eman sliced him.

He initially wanted to capture him alive and torture him to spill some pieces of information. But after seeing the seashell, he changed his plan. It was a very valuable item. Moreover, he could ask the Elder Dark Priest to do the investigation again. As long as the brain wasn't damaged, that old man could do something about it.

Killing the trio wasn't so difficult at his current level.

Although they were in the same stage as him based on this world's level ranking, Eman's stats were far higher than everyone else's in the same stage as him.

Also, he could enter and exit from his Lord's Domain in a split second. That alone was a very big advantage already. As long as the enemy was within its radius, he could relocate anywhere beside them. And as long as they were unaware of this domain, it would be hard for them to notice his relocation.

Regardless, Eman could not redundantly use the technique as it had an awful backlash to him.

Eman noticed the bees coming towards him. He must do something about it or else it would be an exhausting battle once again.

For him, fighting a strong opponent was far better than fighting countless weak opponents.

He stared at the seashell in his hand.

"Golden Cassis Cornuta… this is indeed the item," Eman muttered.

He had no idea how to use it, but he wasn't worried about it as he had a reliable ally.

Seeing the approaching wave of bees, Eman asked the system how to use it.

<Let it absorb some spirit energy, then blow in it.> Said the System.

Eman was a little surprised. He thought it was as easy as blowing in it, but it turned out it wasn't as simple as that.

"Can soul energy do it?" Eman asked.

<No, host. Spirit energy is different from soul energy.>

"….."

Of course, Eman knew about it.

Just like most people in the empire, Eman could not summon spirit energy as well. Although he had a legendary sword that could discharge spirit energy, that thing was a self-reliant sword. It didn't require its wielder to use their spirit energy.

"Now what to do?" Eman pondered.
