My Magical System

Chapter 330: Spirit Master

Initially, he thought it was just a stuffed toy that he probably got before and forgot later, but when its eyes blinked, Eman was slightly taken aback. No matter how he looked at it. It didn't resemble any animals that he knew.

It looked at him then looked at Little Sky.

"Master, who is this guy? An enemy?"

The round creature asked, gaping while staring furiously at Eman. As though he was an enemy. At the same time, showing its two little fangs.

"No no no! He's not an enemy! He's my lord." Little Sky quickly denied it.

Looking and hearing them, made Eman stunned for a bit. With his ability to bypass language barriers, it wasn't surprising that he could understand it.

However, what about Little Sky? Can she also understand it because she was a former ratman? Eman imagined shaking his head. No, as far as he knows, they could only understand those same species as them. Therefore, she couldn't understand those species other than ratmen.

This round thing however he looked at it, didn't seem to resemble any ratmen.

"Your lord?" It tilted its head, which also its body. "Does it mean… you're under his enslavement?" Eman heard the round creature say to Little Sky.

The round creature looked angrily at Eman as if he were a bad person or humanity's greatest enemy.

"You despicable man, how dare you enslave this little angel?!" The round creature grumbled. "Don't worry, Master, I will release you from this bad person!"

Some Bubbles suddenly materialized and were floating around the round creature. He could sense a strong murderous aura from it.

Hearing its words, Little Sky shook her little head and quickly stopped it from taking some actions. "No no no! Stop! It's not like that!"

"Sky, what is this thing?" Pointing at it, Eman could no longer wait and finally asked. The way it was addressing Little Sky seemed like a fanatic religious believer.

"My lord, I don't know either. But she called herself a water spirit!"

Upon hearing the last word from her reply, Eman's mouth gaped and a hint of shock was apparent on his face.

"What did you say? Water spirit?!" Eman exclaimed, which startled Little Sky a little.

"Y-yes, My Lord!"

Eman placed his fingers on his chin and looked at it intently. After a few seconds of pondering, Eman opened his mouth. "Ah, I see now." He was searching for over an hour in the depths of the forest but did not see any. Who would have thought that he would see one inside his house?

As he was about to place his hand on Little Sky's head to calm her, the round creature suddenly screamed. "Don't touch her!"

The bubbles around it suddenly shot forward, aiming to hit his face. But he was fast enough to dodge it. Tilting his head to the side, the bubbles passed by.

But what Eman didn't anticipate was that the bubble would continue forward and hit the ceiling.

To his surprise, there was an explosion behind him.

Around them, a dome-like barrier instantly appeared protecting them and blocking the debris. This barrier was a wind barrier. Eman instinctively used it right when the explosion happened.

Afterward, Eman and Little Sky looked in a daze as they stared at the big hole in their house with uniform dumbfounded faces. A big segment of the house was destroyed.

"What was that?" Eman muttered in disbelief. He did not expect those bubbles to be this destructive.

"Blue! What are you doing?!" Sky exclaimed as she looked at the water spirit. She then turned to Eman. "My lord, I'm very very sorry!" She quickly apologized.

Looking at Little Sky's troubled expression, the water sprite felt guilty. "I-I just want to free Master from the enslavement of this person!" The water spirit said in a small voice while looking somewhat apologetically at Little Sky.

"He's not a bad person, and he's the owner of this house!"

"Ehhh!"

Eman looked at the water spirit. It seemed this spirit could actually talk. He smiled bitterly and turned to Little Sky. "Don't mind it, Little Sky."

"But My Lord, your house!"

"Don't worry. The masons and craftsmen will soon come to reconstruct the house into a bigger one, so it doesn't really matter."

"R-really?"

"Yes."

Seeing his calm face, made Little Sky calm down a bit. But she still felt guilty.

"For now let's evac—"As Eman was about to suggest something, he suddenly felt a strong fluctuation of magic power coming from outside. This made him stop completing his sentence. When he glanced through the hole, he saw a transparent greenish object in the air, standing like an impenetrable wall.

'A wide-range barrier?' Eman thought.

He widened his perception and immediately sensed a presence nearby.

He used telepathic communication. |It's okay.|

Eh? My lord?

Yeah.

I thought we were under attack.

It's not like that. Wait, we'll go out.

Okay, My lord.

The greenish barrier suddenly disappeared.

Eman and Little Sky came out of the house along with the water spirit.

Seeing them, Elder Dark Priest approached them and immediately right in front of Eman as he greeted him.

"My lord, good to see you back."

Seeing the Elder Dark Priest, the water spirit felt very alarmed. It could feel a tremendous amount of magical power from him.

And why was such a person kneeling in front of this person who didn't seem strong? The water spirit could feel Eman's low magical power.

"Get up. I'm amazed you have sensed it and arrived here in an instant," Eman snickered.

"I was nearby when it happened, My lord. I was gathering some materials."

"I see. By the way, let's talk later. For now…" Eman then glanced at Little Sky. "Little Sky, can you kindly explain to us about this friend of yours? How did you meet it?"

"My lord, Little Sky will tell you all about what happened and how she met Blue!" Sky said.

She then started narrating what happened that led to her encounter with the water spirit and how she named it Blue.

It wasn't a fancy story or encounter. According to her, she was just walking along the path leading to the forest. At that time, she was with the two kids from the village. When they heard that Little Sky wanted to visit the Elder Dark Priest's domain, the two kids split up. It seemed they were scared to visit the Elder's domain because of his strange creations.

After they split up, Sky continued with her plan to visit the Elder's domain. However, halfway through her trip, she heard a noise coming from the woods. According to her, the noise seemed like someone asking for help. She then took a detour and followed the noise. The noise came from the deeper part of the forest.

Her feet brought her near the pond where she saw the water spirit surrounded by three Dark Wolves.

Little Sky used her ability, granting the water spirit a boost in her power. The Dark Wolves when they noticed Sky, they turned their attention to her. Taken aback by their shift of target to her, Sky panicked a little. She wasn't the type who was good at fighting. Thankfully, the water spirit didn't leave her. It rescued her by dragging her up.

It could actually float.

The two of them stayed on top of the tree, perching on one of its branches, waiting for the wolves to go away. But the wolves didn't leave. They waited all day long.

Even after a boost from Sky, it seemed the water spirit still wasn't strong enough. In their distress situation, the water spirit then offered Sky to become her master. Sky was baffled at what she meant.

The water spirit told Sky to just follow what it said. Looking at their situation, Sky could not help but agree.

The two then underwent a kind of ritual, which Sky described as simple as touching their foreheads with eyes closed. Although it was as simple as that, Sky also stated that she felt something inside her when the ritual was undergone. A warm feeling circulated internally all over her body.

When Sky opened her eyes, she noticed a strange mark on her wrist. The water spirit then told her that it was a mark that determined that she was a Spirit Master.

Sky asked what to do after that. The water spirit told her to give her a name to finalize the ritual. Sky pondered for a moment. She looked at the water spirit and an idea appeared in her mind. Because of its color, she then called it Blue.

After giving it a name, Sky noticed the strange mark on her wrist glowed.

After that, she saw an incredible aura surging around Blue.

"I feel very strong, master," Blue said happily. Blue then declared she would take care of the wolves.

Sky saw blue surrounded by bubbles all of a sudden. Then those bubbles flew to the wolves. It was followed by an explosion, the same thing that happened to the house.

Eman and the Elder Dark Priest looked at each other after Sky's narration.

"Spirit Master…" Eman muttered.
