Chapter 328: Lethargic Sky
Before leaving, he asked Sol to notify him via telepathy if ever something happened while he was away.
Sol nodded in delight. It was always a great feeling for her whenever Eman was relying on her for something.
After Sol's response, Eman then summoned the dimensional entrance. After stepping inside the entrance, he opened his eyes and found himself inside his room in his house in the middle of the clearing.
The first thing that entered his mind was what he would do first. Honestly, he hadn't sorted out his plan.
In their meeting this morning, they weren't only talking about what happened with him last night, Rowan also mentioned one of the major issues the town was facing as of currently which was the food supplies. Although the townspeople could finally go out and work, it was useless when the miasma was destroying the resources.
Thus, Rowan lowered his head and asked Sol about the food supplies.
They came to an agreement after a serious discussion.
Since the remaining supplies of the town, according to Rowan's estimation, could only last up to 3-4 days, Eman had to tell his people inside his Lord's Domain that he'd need some supplies ready as soon as possible.
As Eman was about to get out of his room, he heard a groaning sound which was sounding lethargic. The person seemed to be tired based on their groaning. As he listened closely, he noticed the source of the sound seemed to be just nearby.
He opened the door of his room and walked out. He gawked at what he saw.
"Sky? What are you doing? Training to be a human mattress?"
Lying with her back facing the ceiling was Sky. Her face was facing the floor.
When she heard him, Sky lifted her small head. Trying her best to look at him. "Uh, My Lord, you're here," she said in a weak voice.
The energetic Little Sky couldn't be seen.
Eman kneeled and poked her smooth cheek. "What happened to you, Little Lady? Why did you look so energy-drained?"
"About that, My Lord, the thing is—"
Plop!
Before Sky could explain what happened to her that led to this situation, the last bit of her battery gave out. She lost consciousness all of a sudden.
"….."
"Little Sky?"
There was no reaction.
"Sky!"
Eman was slightly in panic. He hastily checked her condition. Her heartbeat seemed normal. Only her breathing was slightly different. Eman also checked if she had any external injuries.
After thoroughly examining her, he didn't see any external injuries. He sighed in relief. However, Eman noticed a strange light blue mark on her right wrist. It looked like a symbol or insignia of something. He wondered what it was. When he tried to erase it, he discovered he couldn't erase it.
'Ah, maybe anime stuff,' he thought.
Sky had been so addicted to anime recently, so this kind of stuff wasn't uncommon, especially for her age. Eman also used to draw something on his hands and arms and even on his legs. He had a fair amount of embarrassing past.
Regardless, he didn't see any external injuries on her body. He even noticed in his vision her health bar was in full green color. Even her stamina bar was full.
Wait. Then how did she become lethargic when her stamina was full?
Below her health and stamina bars, he noticed something. There was an icon.
When Eman checked it, it said [Spiritual Energy Exhaustion].
What?
Eman cried out. 'It wasn't the same as magical energy exhaustion, right?' He thought. After mentioning that, he heard the System's reply, saying it was different.
"I see, so it's different."
After browsing through the details regarding Spirit Energy Exhaustion, he learned that the person who suffered from such conditions only needed enough rest and meditation to regain their spiritual energy.
Eman breathed a sigh of relief. He had no elixir to recover such energy. His Alchemy Proficiency Level wasn't high enough to unlock the high-grade tier elixirs.
Anyway, if it was magical energy exhaustion, then he had plenty of it. And even if he ran out of supply, he could just make a new one.
"But how did Little Sky end in such a condition?" Eman muttered and questioned it again. Knowing no one could give him the answer he was seeking, he decided to transfer Little Sky first. It wasn't good to let her lie on the floor.
He carried her and brought her into her room. When he entered her room, Eman was taken aback. There were lots of anime drawings on the wall.
Looking at them, Eman couldn't help but admire her drawing talent. She was even much better than him at drawing.
If Little Sky was a normal girl and was born on Earth, she could be a popular student in school. Eman was sure of it.
After putting Little Sky on her bed, he also placed an elixir right beside her. The elixir was not to replenish her lost spiritual energy but just an elixir for internal healing, in case there was something he missed out.
As time passed, Little Sky's breathing returned to normal.
Seeing it, Eman felt satisfied. He stretched out his arms upward before walking outside Little Sky's room. He went to the kitchen and made porridge. After some time, the porridge was finally made. He scooped a bowl and placed it on the table. After covering it, he placed a note beside it.
Eman then went outside the house.
It was unthinkable for Little Sky to fall in that condition. Eman wondered what happened for her to be in that condition. He could only get his answer once she woke up.
When he looked above, the sun was almost at the center. He then didn't waste time and immediately ambled towards the village.
A couple of minutes passed, and he finally arrived at the village. When one of his people saw him, the person called out loudly.
"My Lord? The Lord is here!"
Then after that, those who heard it rushed out of their houses and came to greet him.
"My Lord, it's good to see you!"
Everyone was greeting him and crowding around him as if he was a politician.
"Everyone, relax," Eman said in a calm tone but his troubled expression betrayed his voice.
"Ah, sorry, My Lord. We are just very happy to see you," said a beautiful oniisan.
"Alright. By the way, where is the chief?" Eman asked.
"The chief is in his shelter, My Lord!" A tall guy with a muscular build said.
"I see, thank you. Alright everybody, go back to whatever you're doing prior to my arrival. There's no need to waste your time with me."
"Alright, My Lord."
One after another, his people responded before they reluctantly left. He couldn't bother them and he couldn't let them bother him.
"Time is of the essence."
Everyone must complete their task on time.
While everyone went back to their respective tasks, two little toddlers came out from the crowd and approached him.
"My Lord, are you going to meet the chief?"
He forgot their names, but they were the kids who always played with Sky.
"Yeah."
"Let us lead you there, My Lord!" The little girl said.
"Please, My Lord, let us go with you!" This time, the little boy also asked him.
What can he do? They were too adorable.
"Alright. Please lead the way."
"Yay!!" They jumped and high-fived in the air.
As they followed the path towards the Village Chief's shelter, Eman noticed the big change in the village.
The road now had stone slabs. And some of the houses around were being reconstructed. You could no longer see pure wooden and bamboo houses.
Eman widened his eyes in disbelief. How can his people's houses look more sophisticated than his?
Aside from that, there were more houses than before. Regardless, he also noticed something hard to ignore.
"Wait, what are those?"
Eman pointed to the creatures that were carrying some big boulders of stones. Whenever those creatures walked, the ground shook slightly.
They definitely weighed thousands of pounds, right?
One of the kids tilted her head. "Mister Mason said that they are called Builder Golems."
"They indeed looked like stone golems. But where did they come from? And how did they arrive here in the village?"
Are there such creatures in this world?
Just then, Eman remembered that he hadn't explored this world yet even though the boundary looked much farther than before.
"I heard the Elder is the one who gave them to the village for fast construction."
At the mention of the Elder's name, Eman didn't need to know all the details. He told the children that they needed to continue.
Arriving in front of the village chief's house shelter, the two kids exclaimed. "My lord, we have finally arrived!"
"Yeah, you two, thank you for coming with me."
"No, My lord, we're very thankful that you let us come with you."
Then they went and knocked on the shelter's door.
"Chief! Chief! The Lord is here!"
Eman heard rushing footsteps coming from inside.
