My Magical System

When he noticed that he was about to fall into the sea of leaves of the trees, a gust of wind suddenly appeared at his feet. The appearance of the gust slowed his fall.

He breathed a sigh of relief when his feet landed on the ground with ease. Wind is the second element he bought and learned.

Looking above, he saw Sphin being chased by the bee colony. With so many bees, they looked like dark clouds. The noisy buzzing was coming from them.

Eman grinned because his diversionary tactic was a success.

"Sphin, let them chase you for a while," he sent a telepathic command.

"Okay, Master."

Eman turned to his side. Taking a deep breath, he started advancing to the dark side of the forest. Unfortunately, it was dark all around. But he was advancing without a hitch towards the direction where the thick black miasma was.

He made sure to eliminate the sound of his footsteps by using one of the assassin's skills, called <Silent Step>. In this way, even if he steps on dry leaves or branches, there won't be any noise no matter how hard he stomps his feet on the ground.

As he approached the location, he felt an eerie feeling that seemed to urge him not to continue. However, instead of being afraid and intimidated, Eman sped up his advance towards the location.

He noticed the thickening of the miasma around him as he was advancing.

A strange feeling suddenly attacked him. He felt dizzy and seemed like he would vomit. Even though his body was strong and so was his resistance, the miasma still made him feel this way. It just means that this miasma gets stronger as he gets closer to its source.

He took a quick detour and immediately took a bottle of elixir from his System Storage. The elixir he took makes him three times resistant to any ailment status.

After drinking, the strange feeling calmed down. He then resumed running.

Increasing his speed, it didn't take him long to arrive near the dense gathering of miasma. Eman came out from behind a tree. His eyes widened in disbelief at what entered his sight.

"What is this?" He said in a voice that only he could hear. His eyes grew bigger at the sight.

Although the miasma was quite thick and obstructed his vision, it wasn't enough to stop him from seeing what was in front of him.

In front of him could be seen a big dark tree. The tree was bigger compared to other trees around it.

There was another peculiarity about this tree. There were no leaves on it. And it seemed to be drying up. However, it still stood tall even in such a condition.

The ground around seemed dried up and blackened and no grass could be seen growing around.

He immediately used his <Object Appraisal> skill.

Eman's eyes widened even more because of what he read in his <Object Appraisal>.

Corrupted tree?!  He screamed inwardly.

There he noticed something that seemed to be hanging on one of its branches. When he narrowed his eyes, he immediately recognized that it was a gigantic hive!

'Is this the beehive the guardian dragon mentioned?'

He asked himself out of shock. He wondered why it was here.

Eman also noticed that the hive was surrounded by a thick miasma. He did not think that this was the reason for the thick miasma he saw earlier from the distance.

The hive also seemed like there was a black light glowing from within as if it was absorbing something. When he focused his eyes on it, he noticed the light pulsating.

[Be careful, Host. That hive looks dangerous.]

He could feel it, but, "What do you mean, System?" He asked.

[It is absorbing the Yang Energy of the Oak Tree. This is the reason why the tree seems to have dried out. As it is absorbing the tree's Yang Energy, it is also spreading dangerous miasma around. Even with your resilience body, it could harm you.]

"I see."

Wait. Absorbing?

He wanted to ask if a beehive could really do that. However, the answer was right in front of him. That means the hive in front of him was no ordinary hive and could do that!

While musing, Eman suddenly sensed the ground trembling. This was followed by a strange and terrifying sound like the howling of a ferocious beast.

An "onk" sound reverberated in the area.

Eman was alarmed. But he is currently using the <Hide> skill so he has high confidence that he is safe. This <Hide> skill is the former <Sneak> skill that has advanced and become <Hide>. Forest Boar?

There is something unusual about this boar. Its red eyes were abnormally large and glaring as if it were out of its senses.

The boar did not hesitate and rushed at him again.

Eman's heart jumped in shock. Initially, he thought he just happened to be in its path, but he didn't think that he was actually its target.

'How did it know of my presence?' Eman couldn't believe that despite using his <Hide> skill, the enemy was still able to see him.

Aside from that, how did the height of this boar grow so much? Eman had a plethora of questions in his heart.

Normally, Forest Boars are only half the height of an average man. But this one was twice as tall as the average person!

In his eyes, he saw its information. Level and health points are also displayed.

Eman frowned. The level of this Boar is low, which is normal for this type. However, what surprised him was its stats.

'Why are its stats so high when its level is low?' Eman asked in his mind as he dodged the Forest Boar's assault.

The gigantic boar hit the trees on its path and crushed them.

When he followed what System told him, he exclaimed.

"Corrupted Forest Boar?!"

There's the word 'corrupted' attached to its name the same as the oak tree. If you look at the appearance of this gigantic boar, there is a huge difference between it and the original: in size, in its glaring eyes, and in its abnormal stats that are not suitable for its level.

Forest Boars are usually hunted for food supply. But this one, if you make a mistake, maybe you will be its food supply instead. It was Eman's honest assessment.

A very long "Onk" sound could be heard.

The gigantic boar suddenly let out a long thunderous squeal.

Without waiting for the boar to finish squealing, Eman pointed his hand in the direction of the boar. Using his <Finger Bullet> skill, three consecutive red-orange lights shot through the air like shooting stars. They disappeared as fast as they appeared. What followed was an ear-piercing cry coming from the Corrupted Forest Boar.

Kwek~~~~!

Its squealing noise hurt his ears a bit but Eman didn't care.

The bullets hit the boar's side three times, and yet, only about one-third of its health points were lost.

"This boar is surprisingly tough," Eman commented.

Dark liquid with a strong smell gushed out from the boar's wounds.

Suddenly, the boar's eyes gleamed. Then it quickly turned and rushed towards him. Eman felt the ground shaking at the same time it was rushing.

Seeing the huge tusks pointed at him, a chill ran down his spine.

After a deep breath, he leaped away from the boar's path. The destructive charge passed by without hitting him. The boar continued skidding forward. It was struggling to stop its momentum.

Without wasting the opportunity, he aimed his hand at it; his body glowed in bright white and blue light.

When the boar turned around ready to charge once again, a whisper carried in the air.

"Heavy Spikes!" Eman whispered softly.

The ground suddenly trembled. Then from beneath the boar, countless huge earth spikes came out, directly impaling the gigantic boar. The boar let out a louder squeal.

It was his Earth Elemental Ability.

Eman leaped high in the air. In his hand, a sword, red in color, suddenly appeared. It was the Killing Sword. He jumped high toward the boar and swung the sword at it.

Fwoosh~ woosh~ swoosh~~

Three slash marks gleamed at the boar's body. His attack happened in a blink of an eye. Calmly facing his back at the boar, Eman flicked his hand. The Killing Sword sword suddenly disappeared from his hand. Right after that, dark blood burst out from the boar's wounds.
