Chapter 315: Shocking strength, so strong!
"Let me handle it," Sol asked for permission.
Eman thought for a second before he agreed, but he also reminded her. "Alright, but no killing it."
"Okay." Sol stuck out her tongue and winked. Eman couldn't help but think she was cute in that little silly gesture.
He chuckled inwardly and wondered where she learned those silly things. The more she didn't see her, the more she acted mischievously toward him whenever they reunited. Is this her way of showing her rebellion toward him, or her way of showing her feelings? It makes her character more human though.
Eman smiled and said, "Be careful." Hearing that, Sol showed a big smile and nodded excitedly. "Okay."
Honestly, Eman wasn't sure if it was fine to let Sol fight the guardian dragon. In his eyes, the guardian dragon had higher overall stats compared to Sol. However, he also wanted to see Sol's growth. He wanted to see how strong she was currently, whether she could defeat or not an opponent that was stronger than her in stats.
Regardless, if something bad is about to happen, he would interfere without delay. Also, with the Soul Reaper Sword he gave to her, he believed Sol had a big chance of defeating the guardian dragon.
At this point, Zennie was dumbfounded listening to their exchange. Why were they talking as if they were going to fight an easy opponent? She thought.
Sol suddenly jumped off from Sphin. Just when Zennie was about to panic, she saw Sol suspended in mid-air. Her figure, instead of plunging, stopped in the air as though gravity was a joke.
"She's floating?!"
Even Eman was surprised as well. He did not expect Sol's ability to be so universal.
Eman smiled ambiguously and said, "There are invisible wings attached to her back."
"Seriously?" Zennie blinked her eyes and looked at Eman and asked if he was serious. Eman answered with an affirmative nod. "Yes."
She noticed his expression didn't seem like he was joking.
It wasn't truly invisible wings, but rather invisible arms that she congregated to form like a pair of wings, so his words still bear truth.
"How did she do that?"
It seemed Zennie was asking him as to how Sol was able to produce invisible wings. Eman shrugged his shoulders. "It could be her innate skill or maybe the result of studying in the Magical Academy." Eman gave a vague answer.
Sol was truly a genius. It didn't even occur to him to innovate such ability into something like that. Truly interesting.
Zennie could only nod and agree with Eman. She heard that the Magical Academy in the capital was a prestigious academy, which produced many talented mages in the past. This is why most noble families send their children to attend that academy.
In that case, Sol's ability is probably due to the academy's nurturing, Zennie came to believe.
Eman glanced at Zennie and asked her to move closer. He urged her to come closer to him, which Zennie understood his intention and bashfully followed.
"Is it fine to let her face it?" Zennie asked worriedly. Eman replied in his usual calm tone, "Don't be deceived by her looks. Even though she looks delicate, she's pretty strong. Sol is already in the Gold Stage."
"Eh. Gold Stage?!"
At such a young age? Zennie widened her eyes in astonishment. That said, Magical Academy students are truly incredible! She exclaimed internally.
But that didn't stop her from worrying, after all, Lady Sol would be going to face a fierce enemy, a guardian dragon.
Sphin jumped a few times, distancing from the battle that was about to unfold.
Sphin did not remain stationary. They flew around, maintaining a good distance away. Better be safe than sorry.
The guardian dragon upon seeing Sol, its red eyes contracted at her. It seemed to find her as its new target.
It suddenly rushed towards her, opening its large jaw wide. Sol used her invisible wings to fly upward. She successfully evaded the guardian dragon's assault. But the guardian dragon was relentless. It had no intention of letting its prey escape easily. After spiraling, gaining momentum, it suddenly shot upward as well, chasing after Sol.
They flew higher than the mountain peak. In just a moment, they already looked like dots in the vast sky.
Surprisingly, Sol flew diagonally and let the dragon chase after her. After a few seconds, she used the sun's blinding light and launched a sudden attack.
The guardian dragon, who didn't anticipate it, was suddenly hit by an invisible force.
Not only Zennie but even Eman looked bewildered as they watched the dragon plunging.
In Zennie's perspective, the dragon that was chasing after Sol at an incredible speed suddenly fell below as though it hit an invisible ceiling. It looked surreal.
In Eman's eyes, one of Sol's congregated wings suddenly transformed into a huge elastic fist and punched the chasing dragon. The dragon wasn't able to dodge it because the blinding light of the sun blocked its vision, thus, unaware of Sol's surprise attack, the dragon was hit squarely and immediately plunged below.
Even while plunging, Sol did not let it go and chased after it.
Grabbing its tail, Sol then spun it around before throwing it below. The guardian dragon had been plunging much faster than before. In just a blink of an eye, its huge body crashed into the ground, resulting in a thunderous impact that caused a violent tremble of the ground. As though a meteor crashed on earth. The trees and rock boulders were instantly crushed to pieces.
Then a cloud of dust bloomed like volcano flumes.
After a while, when the smoke of dust cleared, a large pit could be seen where the dragon crashed. The guardian dragon sprawled in the middle, looking beat up. Its eyes already have no sign of consciousness.
Zennie looked dumbfounded but soon she exclaimed. "So strong!" The battle exceeded her expectations. Sol's strength is very shocking for her!
Eman was shocked as well. He did not expect the battle to turn out like this.
