My Hitman System

Chapter 193: Getting Back at Brown (E)

An hour later, Jin arrived at his hotel and, without getting noticed by anyone, he entered his room.

After freshening up to clear away the stench of sweat, he lay on the bed for a good night's rest.

Before closing his eyes, he thought of the system map and it appeared on the top right corner of his vision.

Thirty red dots were congregated at a single point and looked like a big red dot.

With a thought, the map was zoomed, and the plan view of the research vessel was visible in front of Jin's eyes.

The thirty red dots were distinctly visible now.

'No matter where they are transported to now, I'll be able to get an idea of who the players are involved in this trade.'

Jin thought to himself and closed his eyes.

The next day, he got on a bus towards the western part of Alkaran.

While on the bus, he opened up the system store and upgraded his Close Quarter Combat.

His grading rose from 'A' to 'S' the very next instant, and all the knowledge regarding various martial arts which he already possessed was assimilated in his mind and became one.

'Great! I can immediately think of the most appropriate move to attack out of the hundreds of martial arts in my mind.' Jin's mood brightened when he realised the massive change which this upgrade resulted in.

With excitement clear in his eyes, Jin smiled and looked forward to testing it out with Brown later.

After a few hours, he got off the bus midway at a specific point, which Brown had told him about earlier.

From there, he walked towards the north through the vast desert he had long grown used to.

Jin squinted his eyes to protect them from the dust being carried by the occasional warm winds.

After walking for three and a half hours in the intense heat, Jin finally saw the familiar Oasis not far away from him.

He increased his pace and arrived there in a while.

Instead of the hut, he first went to his makeshift shelter, which looked the same as before, and placed his bag there before going to meet Brown.

It was quarter past four in the evening, and Brown was currently resting inside his mud hut as he had nothing else to do.

Since everyone was busy honing their skills, he didn't have anything else to do apart from preparing their meals.

The wooden door was left open by Brown for proper air circulation.

A few moments later, he heard a subtle sound of footsteps and was immediately alerted.

'It seems to be that of a male's' Brown gauged and jumped off the bed the next moment.

There was only Ice training outside. Hence, the sound of a male's footsteps naturally alarmed him.

He took cover behind the door and positioned himself appropriately, ready the nab whoever the person was.

When Jin entered through the door, his senses heightened the very next moment as he felt a deadly punch aimed at him from his periphery.

'Shiit!' Jin exclaimed in his mind. Not expecting such an attack in the least.

However, before he could consciously do something about it, his body instinctively reacted and dodged the vicious attack before launching a left hook straight towards the assailant.

Jin's attack was too fast for Brown to react, and he could only use his elbows to dodge the hook directed straight towards his face.

TUD!

Brown took the whole impact of the punch and was forced a few steps away. Gritting his teeth, he was about to carry out his next move when he finally noticed who the other party was.

Jin too finally noticed the other party's identity and couldn't help but mutter, "Instructor Brown…?"

"Zed…"

Brown realised his mistake and coughed in an embarrassed manner.

"Well…your skills have improved," he commented just for the sake of commenting to pass off the embarrassment when it suddenly struck him.

With Jin's ability, he shouldn't have been able to counter his attack so easily as he did earlier, and a frown appeared on his face.

"You noticed it?" Jin asked with a smirk and continued, " Yes, I've improved in the last three days and want to take the test for Close Quarter Combat again…"

If it were before he had seen Jin's skills, Brown would have definitely thought of it as Jin just wasting his time, but now that he had experienced it himself, he no longer doubted his words.

"Get ready outside, I'll come in five minutes," Brown responded seriously and sent Jin out.

A while later, after washing up his face, Brown stood outside just a few meters away from his mud hut.

In front of him, Jin was standing in a fighting pose.

This time, instead of allowing Jin to take the initiative, Brown decided to attack first. He wanted to fully see how much Jin had improved in these three short days.

Using swift steps to the extreme, his figure appeared right beside Jin and bending down, he aimed a strong hook right towards Jin's stomach.

However, things didn't go as he expected. The moment Jin sensed Brown's position, a side kick was directed towards Brown, and it hit him right on his face.

TUD!

Brown's face took the whole brunt of the kick, which disoriented him. Using his Swift Steps once again, he distanced himself from Jin.

'Wow! This feeling is so incredible,' Jin thought to himself as he looked towards Brown's state.

Just a few days ago, he had no chance of beating, and now, seeing how the sides have been switched, a sense of exhilaration filled him up.

Not wanting to make things easier for Brown, he immediately rushed towards him.

Brown, who was straining his eyes to get a clearer view of Jin, suddenly noticed his figure moving towards him.

Jin copied the exact attack pattern and launched a hook towards Brown's stomach.

'You think I'll fall for that?!' Brown thought in irritation and with the intention of making Jin taste the same medicine, launched a side kick towards his face.

A grin formed on Jin's face seeing that Brown had taken his bait, and tilting his head to the right, he dodged the kick and grabbed Brown's leg with his other hand.

A tussle on the ground soon began, and within the next couple of seconds, Jin had trapped Brown's leg in a knee bar.

Brown struggled to counter it, but each time Jin changed his position slightly, and Brown was back at the starting point.

"...I lost." Seeing no escape from here, Brown finally admitted defeat.

"Yes…yes, you did," Jin said in satisfaction. It felt great to beat Brown in his own game.
