My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!

Chapter 69: Visiting Julian

Anindya continued to stare straight ahead, looking left and right—still suspicious that the mysterious person was still nearby. Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her, and Anindya quickly spun around—drawing her dagger.

"WHOOSH!" Anindya's voice echoed as she drew her dagger.

But Anindya stopped immediately when she realized it was a civilian.

"W-what's wrong, young lady?!" old man said who had intended to greet Anindya.

Anindya's eyes immediately returned to normal when she saw who was standing in front of her. She was immediately startled and put both daggers back in her pockets.

"S-sorry, sir. I felt like I was being followed by a stranger, so I thought it was you!" Anindya said, bowing her head slightly in apology.

"Really? That's very dangerous!—Especially since you're a woman, you'd better go home immediately, young lady!" the old man said.

"O-Okay, sir, I apologize again" Anindya said, holding the back of her head with her right hand and bowing her head repeatedly.

Anindya immediately walked toward the grocery bags and satchel she had placed on the other side. But on the way, Anindya found a footprint—one that looked like someone had stepped on red soil. It looked like a shoeprint and was thick. Anindya looked at her left arm—where the mysterious person had kicked her earlier.

Anindya looked back at the footprint on the sidewalk thoughtfully.

"It looks similar to the footprint on this sidewalk" Anindya thought to herself, staring intently at the footprint.

Anindya looked to her left and saw a 200 cm high precast concrete wall. Instead of grabbing her belongings, she chose to approach the wall first.

"It seems the mysterious person already realized I was going to attack him, so the smoke initially served as a distraction, while he jumped over this wall, huh?" Anindya wondered, staring at the large wall in front of him.

Anindya tried to jump over the wall—taking the old man by surprise. Her eyes widened at the sight of footprints on the red soil.

"Hmph... it seems that person really is from Bounty Hunter, huh?" Anindya asked herself.

Anindya climbed down from the wall.

"Looks like I'm really getting weak, huh?..." Anindya thought to herself as she looked down at her palms—which she opened and closed repeatedly.

After saying that, Anindya clasped her palms together and looked at the wall.

"...Because I didn't hear his footsteps—while running behind those walls" Anindya thought to herself, looking at the wall.

The old man, who had been watching, finally asked.

"What's wrong, young lady?" the old man asked Anindya.

Anindya looked at the old man.

"N-nothing, sir! I'm just curious about what's behind those walls" Anindya replied with an awkward smile.

The old man looked at the walls.

"Oh, there, they say they're going to build a gym there" the old man said, staring at the walls.

Anindya looked at the construction site.

"Wow, judging by the structure... it looks like it's going to have three floors, and the entrance fee will definitely be expensive, right?" Anindya asked, slightly surprised.

The old man looked at Anindya.

"Ahahaha, not really. Since this is being built by the governor, so the entrance fee will be cheap" the old man replied with a laugh.

Anindya looked back at the old man.

"I see, so this is a facility provided for citizens who have paid taxes, huh?" Anindya asked.

"Yes, that's right. They said the entrance fee will be deposited into the state treasury" the old man replied.

"Hopefully, it'll be finished soon so people can exercise~" Anindya said with a friendly smile.

"Let's just pray, hahaha" the old man said with a soft laugh.

"Okay, then I'll take my leave, sir" Anindya said with a friendly smile.

The old man nodded. After that, Anindya immediately gathered her things, said goodbye once more to the old man, and continued on her way to Julian's house. The old man waved his right hand and smiled at Anindya, muttering.

"Haha, looks like that girl is going to throw a party, huh~" the old man muttered as he stared at Anindya's four large shopping bags.

The old man noticed red dirt footprints on the sidewalk.

"Hmm... it looks like that girl is really being followed. I should tell the Neighborhood Chief about this," the old man muttered.

Arriving at Julian's house, Anindya pressed the doorbell. After slowly pressing three times, the gate opened—Anindya was greeted by Sekar.

"Good afternoon, Auntie~," Anindya greeted Sekar with a friendly smile.

"Good afternoon, Ara!, Anindya!?" Sekar replied, surprised to see Anindya.

"You must be coming to visit Julian, right?" Sekar asked.

"Yes, Auntie, I also brought ingredients to make Julian's meal," Anindya said with a smile and showed Sekar the grocery bags.

Seeing the large amount of groceries Anindya brought, Sekar was delighted.

"Ara~ You're so serious, huh, hahaha," Sekar said with a happy expression and tone.

"Then please come in" Sekar continued, inviting Anindya in.

"Thank you, Auntie~," Anindya said with a polite smile.

Anindya entered the house. Once inside, she sat in front of the exit to take off her shoes, then stood up, and Sekar said.

"Let's go straight to the kitchen. We'll surprise Julian, hihihi" Sekar said with chuckling.

"Okay, Auntie!" Anindya replied enthusiastically.

After that, Anindya and Sekar walked to the kitchen. Once there, they both began cooking.

At 17.00.

In Julian's room, the delicious smell of food filled Julian's room. Julian was awakened by this. He turned to his right and slowly opened his eyes. His vision was still blurry, but he faintly saw the shadow of a woman preparing breakfast on the table. Once it was ready, the shadow sat up, holding something, and facing Julian.

"Are you awake?" the shadow asked.

Julian squinted, but his vision was still blurry. He rubbed his eyes, and soon the shadow came into view. It was Anindya. Julian was immediately shocked and blurted out.

"A-Anindya?!" Julian said with a shocked expression.

Anindya smiled at Julian. Julian, who was looking at Anindya's face, accidentally caught sight of a knife she was holding in her right hand. Julian was immediately shocked and sat bolt upright on his bed.

"Wh-Why are you in my room?!" Julian asked nervously.

"I knocked on the door earlier, but you didn't answer, and then your mother told me to come in" Anindya replied with a soft smile.

"Th-then why did you bring that knife here?!" Julian asked nervously.

"Oh, this," Anindya said, looking at the knife she was holding.

Anindya, examining every aspect of the knife, began to think about playing a prank on Julian. She raised her right hand—making the blade parallel to her right cheek—and said

"I actually intended to cut someone!" Anindya said with a smile and a mischievous tone.

"HIK!" Julian said, startled by Anindya's words.

Julian's body immediately trembled.

"H-huh?! C-c-cut someone?! D-d-don't be kidding!" Julian said with a frightened expression and tone.

"Pfft! AHAHAHAHAHA! I'M JUST KIDDING, JULIAN~" Anindya laughed out loud.

Julian immediately fell silent—his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Julian quickly got out of bed, walked over to Anindya, grabbed her hand that was holding the knife, and took it from her grasp.

"Do-don't joke around with something sharp like this" Julian said firmly.

Anindya's cheeks immediately pouted in annoyance.

"Moo! I was just kidding, Julian!" Anindya said.

"Yeah, but we don't know when an accident will happen, so you should be careful when handling a knife" Julian said.

Anindya turned her head to the right and said.

"Yeah, yeah~" Anindya said indifferently.

Seeing Anindya's behavior, Julian just sighed.

"So what are you doing here?" Julian asked.

Anindya looked back at Julian.

"Wasn't it obvious that I wanted to visit you~?" Anindya replied with a smile.

Julian was a little surprised by her rapid change in attitude.

"Sigh~, Thank you, but I'm better now" Julian said with a smile and a happy tone.

"Hm? Julian, why do both your cheeks look a little bruised?" Anindya asked.

Julian glanced at his right and left cheeks, saying.

"Looks like the bruises haven't gone away yet, huh?" Julian thought to himself.

Anindya held Julian's right cheek with her left hand.

"What's wrong, Julian? Did you get into a fight with some guys from another school on your way home?" Anindya asked in a worried tone.

"I should just tell her, I can't keep it a secret from her anyway" Julian thought to himself, looking at Anindya's worried expression.

Julian took Anindya's right hand and lowered it.

"Listen Anindya, it seems like when we defeated Khitam—he wasn't alone" Julian replied with a serious expression.

"What do you mean?" Anindya asked.

Julian closed his eyes, then took a breath and opened them.

"A group of gangsters chased me on my way home" Julian replied with a serious expression.

Anindya's expression didn't look too surprised—as if she already knew this was going to happen. Instead, she smiled and said.

"Then tell me" Anindya asked, curious.
