Chapter 631
The next day, Anton stayed in the manor and did not go out. He decided that he would focus on leveling up his Diablo II characters since once he reached the maximum level of his ladder Amazon character, he would need to level up a brand new set of the seven characters of Diablo II to complete the season.
After breakfast, Anders left with his team to delve into the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon. Anton's father did not want to waste any time was focused on strengthening himself since Anders was now fully committed to the belief that soon, they would have no choice but to fight the undead, and Anton's father wanted to have sufficient strength to make a difference in that upcoming war.
Anton went to where Anders set up the portal that would lead them to the small town that hosted the entrance to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon. The portal brought great convenience to Anders since, without it, Anton's father and his team would need to travel a minimum of six to seven hours to reach the high-level dungeon, which was a great waste of time.
Once Anders and his team entered the portal, Anton tested the portal to see if he could enter it even if he were not part of his father's party system, since Anders was the one who used the town portal scroll. To his great surprise, Anton was able to enter the portal. That confirmed his theory that he could enter any portal that was created through the town portal scroll, regardless of who used it. It was logical since the scroll came from his Diablo II system. He even felt that he could even dismiss the portal. Once he was done confirming his theories, he left his father's portal alone and returned to his room to start leveling up his Diablo II character.
By noon, his ladder Amazon leveled up to level 77. He paused his leveling-up process to join the family for lunch, but the only ones in the dining room were Luna, Alfred, and their old guardian, Mr. Normandy. Everyone else was busy with business.
Anton briefly wondered where the siblings' tutor ate. He remembered back in Zalnothel, Anton and Anna's tutors were respectable old men and women who joined them in the dining room for meals, but apparently, Mr. Jenkins forbade the "help" from joining the family at the table and had to eat somewhere else. If it were before, Anton would have complained and would have insisted that everyone join them, but this time, he did not want to bother. Not because he did not care anymore, but because his focus was somewhere else.
He knew for a fact that Ormunda would not take long before their response to what happened to Mendoza would be disseminated to everyone who needed to be informed, and since expressed his interest in joining the fight against the Undead Coalition, and he was already powerful enough in his own right for Ormunda to consider him negligible.
"Anton, can you give us the next episodes for Avatar?" Alfred asked.
Anton nodded and handed the siblings the next episodes of the cartoon. He then told everyone that he would be in his room for the rest of the day, focusing on his magic.
"How do you practice your magic, Anton? I have not seen you reading books or memorizing spells," Alfred asked while Luna and everyone else near the table looked on curiously, waiting for his answer.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"I don't know what Father had told you about my magic, but I have what I call bloodline magic. There are spells in my bloodline that I need to unearth to increase the spells I can cast. I also had to meditate, focusing on my bloodline, to increase the amount of mana my body houses, which also correlates to my wizard rank. One advantage I do have is that I can also learn spells the standard way, so in essence, I have access to two different magic systems. The standard ones that your sister Anna is practicing and my bloodline magic," Anton spouted the lies that he had been telling ever since he transmigrated to this world.
"Does Anna have the same bloodline magic?" Luna asked
"Unfortunately, she doesn't have the bloodline magic, but she is still extremely talented as a mage. She managed to reach a high enough rank in wizardry at a very young age that the powerful wizards of the academy noticed her," Anton told the siblings.
After lunch, Anton went to his room to focus on leveling up his ladder Amazon character. Before he started, he did not forget to cast the Blizzard spell that was converted into Mana Rain towards the garden and the fruit orchard. He was amused to see that a lot of people had become aware of the benefits that one would receive when bathing in mana water, and that meant that a lot of the manor's people were spending time in the orchard to be rained on. Thankfully, they avoided the garden. Probably, Mr. Jenkins forbade them from going there to avoid disturbing Anton.
Anton did not stop leveling up his Amazon character until the sun had set, and by the time Raymond informed him that dinner was ready, his ladder Amazon character had leveled up to level 85. Anton had decided to focus on reaching the maximum level of his ladder Amazon characters because he had a feeling that his Diablo II system would probably have an update, and he could not wait to know what it would be. He hoped that it was something that would greatly increase his power.
During dinner, Luna and Alfred requested the next episodes of Avatar, so he gave them to them. While they were eating, Romina, Bruce, and Susan gave Anton updates on what was happening with the manor's businesses. Thankfully, everyone adopted his behavior of speaking during dinner, which, according to Mr. Jenkins, was not normal for most noble families in Ormunda.
"It was as if the fall of Mendoza gave people great motivation to watch the movies!" Romina had been telling Anton how the Cinema was affected by the news that the kingdom of Mendoza had fallen.
"It's understandable. Just like the brothels and bars, people wanted to forget their fears and turned their attention to different kinds of entertainment," Bruce commented.
"Bruce, there are children on the table!" Susan admonished her husband.
Luna and Alfred giggled, while Anton laughed. After dinner, Anton returned to level up his ladder Amazon character until he felt sleepy.
The next day, Anton asked the butler about his father's usual dungeon delving schedule.
"Just like you, your father and his team would usually spend three to four days delving into the dungeon, then they would return and rest for a day, then dive into the dungeon again."
Based on what Raymond had said, Anders would be back in three days. After breakfast, Anton did not waste his time and dove into his Diablo II system and only stopped when lunch arrived. During lunch, Luna and Alfred asked Anton if Laloniah and her friends could visit. They wanted to speak with him.
"What do they want?" Anton asked curiously.
"It's the tiny wolves and tiny ravens. Everyone is envious of our tiny pets!" Alfred exclaimed.
Luna glared at her brother, but then she turned her eyes back to Anton and reluctantly nodded.
"I don't want to meet them. I'm busy. Here are ten tablets of tiny spirit wolf summons and ten tablets of tiny raven summons. Luna, you're in charge. You can sell them to your friends, but it shouldn't be less than 200 gold coins. You can keep the earnings as your allowance from me. Each of you can get half," Anton told Luna and Alfred.
