Chapter 207: Setting Off a God
The second use of his avatars was to act as Aiden's eyes within those dimensions.
From the main world Aiden could not see the full scale of the other dimensions using his dimensional sight alone. At his level the dimensional sight only offered him different random views of the other dimension which he could use as entry points.
And finally to act as safeguards, should there have any miscalculation. But hopefully that part wouldn't happen

Aiden had chosen this method for a few reasons.
First, a single avatar wouldn't be able to stay behind and maintain the portals while he entered the dimensions himself. The link between them would eventually fail, and the portals would collapse.
Second, this approach was much faster for rescuing everyone. He couldn't depend on how far his avatars could move within each dimension before their range began to weaken.
And after the Ravens Grave incident earlier that day, he decided it was finally time to trust the others who were eager to act and help.
He also intended to equip the mages with mana-dampening cuffs from his treasury. The cuffs would allow them to restrain any possessed individuals once they were subdued.
From there, the mages would either bring the restrained victims back to the avatars waiting at the portal entrance or return them directly to the kingdom, where Aiden would remove the possession himself.
If he was being honest, this wasn't the best possible option. But it was the one that accounted for everyone else while still ensuring he could maintain control of the situation and protect them.
Aiden gave them a full rundown of how the operation would work, and for a moment it seemed no one had any questions.
That changed when the former Captain of the White Vortex stepped forward.
"The entire plan depends on finishing everything within an hour," he said. "What happens if we can't? What if your avatar fades before we're done subduing them?"
Aiden nodded, already expecting the concern.
"That won't be a problem," he said calmly. "If an avatar runs out of time, another one will take its place. I'll send it through the portal from my side and it will go into position immediately. The chain won't break."
The captain exhaled and stepped back, satisfied with the answer. Everyone else nodded as well, ready to proceed.
Then he looked around the room and said, "Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow we're going to get them back."
The meeting came to end at that point and they all dispersed from the palace.

Sometime later…
Lucina stepped through the grand entrance of a temple in the City of Gods, Eden.
The temple belonged to Va, the God of Justice and Order, and everything within it reflected his nature, with clean lines and perfectly symmetrical architecture.
She found him standing before a large circular window that overlooked the endless expanse of Eden with his hands clasped behind his back.
Va was tall and broad-shouldered with dark hair pulled back severely from his face.
His robes were white trimmed with gold and he wore them with the same rigid formality he applied to everything else.
He didn't turn when she entered but his voice answered her sharply.
"State your business Lucina."
She smiled and placed one hand delicately over her heart.
"Is that any way to greet a fellow high goddess?" she asked, mimicking a hurting voice.
"You wouldn't be here unless you wanted something," Va replied flatly. "So state it and leave."
Lucina's smile widened as she moved closer and stopped a respectful distance away. "I came to ask you something," she said. "Do you remember that red-headed Amazon woman? The one you were waiting on to mature a bit more before you went to choose her as your bride?"
Va turned slightly at that and his bronze eyes narrowed as he looked at her directly. "What about her?"
Lucina tilted her head. "I was simply curious," she said. "You've been so patient all this time and I wondered if you'd heard the news."
"What news?" Va asked. His tone was still ever serious but now you know he was curious.
Lucina let the silence stretch for just a moment before speaking again. "She left Yul'thera. Left the kingdom entirely."
Va's expression didn't change, as he waited on more than just that.
Lucina continued, "She's following another man now," she added. "Though I suppose 'man' isn't quite accurate."
Va's eyes flashed. "Explain."
"It's Thyrak's new vessel," Lucina said with a casual wave of her hand. "He's in Dragonhold. She's been traveling with him for some time now."
Va stared at her in silence. His expression stayed calm, but the shift in his posture made it clear the news had unsettled him.
"Leave," he said
Lucina smiled and inclined her head slightly.
"Of course," she said sweetly. "I only thought you should know."
She turned and walked toward the exit.
Behind her Va stood motionless and in thought too.
Unlike most other gods, who frolicked freely with goddesses in Eden, Va had never taken a consort or entertained fleeting romances.
He had chosen Aeris long ago and had been waiting for her to grow a bit more before he claimed her as his wife.
And now she had left with another. Amazons never left their home unless it was absolutely necessary.
Lucina stepped out of the temple smiling to herself, knowing she had successfully set him off.
With anything else, she would never have succeeded.
But when it came to matters of the heart, even the God of Justice and Order was as easy to manipulate as any other man.

Aiden as of this time, was inside his pocket domain, staring at the demon woman trapped within the spatial lock his avatar still maintained.
He wasn't sure what to do with her yet, but he could tell she was exhausted. She had been sitting quietly in the same corner the entire time.
He held a plate of food in his hand, aproper meal from the guild meant for him earlier that evening.
But as a dragon he no longer needed food the same way, and she was still part human. At some point she would get hungry.
With a thought, he activated his space authority skill: Switch.
The small pebble lying in front of her vanished and was replaced with the plate of food.
The moment she saw the plate, her eyes widened and she started eating with earnest hunger.
Aiden let out a sigh. Watching her like this was uncomfortable.
He moved to one of the rocky platforms and sat down. "By the way, Cronyssia," he began. "you never mentioned how these demons came into existence."
Cronyssia's translucent form materialized beside him smoothly as she stepped forward and took a seat next to him on the rock.
