Chapter 206: A Plan To Deal With The Problem
A few moments later Aiden stood in the main room of the guild. Everyone had gathered around him.
He held Oliver's linen shirt in his hand. Elena stood nearby holding Innis's hairbrush and Rick had Bernard's special spoon. It was a much larger spoon than normal and Bernard had always loved eating with it.
Aiden was going to use the celestial magic divination spell he had copied from Ursula.
This version was far more potent than the regular divination supplementary spell.
Regular divination would not have been able to even tell that the king's wife still existed somewhere. It would have come up with absolutely nothing.
He closed his eyes and began casting.
The magic reached out to trace the physical presence connected to the linen shirt in his hand.
And since the celestial magic he was using had been elevated to Deity++ level, far stronger than Ursula could ever harness it, he was able to see Oliver's face in some sort of vision.
The boy had those black line markings running along his cheeks just like the others who had been possessed.
The vision only highlighted Oliver and didn't show his surroundings. But this was still much better than what Ursula had achieved.
She hadn't even seen the queen's face when she divined.
Aiden then used his heightened supernatural awareness to make a connection.
His awareness functioned like a web of perception that extended outward in all directions.
When he linked it to the vision of Oliver, it created a thread between himself and the boy's presence. That thread pulled his awareness toward the specific dimensional barrier where Oliver existed.
And with his dimensional sight active he could now see exactly which parallel dimension Oliver was in.
He opened his eyes and Laela asked immediately, "Did it work?"
He nodded. "I can pinpoint which dimension he's in."
He took the hairbrush from Elena and repeated the process. Then he took the spoon from Rick and did the same.
When he opened his eyes again his expression had shifted into a calmer one.
"They're all in the same dimension," he said.
Relief spread across every face in the room.
Katherine's face remained expressionless and she immediately asked, "How would we get there?"
Aiden replied, "I can use my portal to get you there, but not to a precise location."
He paused briefly. "This is a cross-dimensional matter and there's only so much the divination range could get to from where I stand."
He gestured slightly. "But from inside the dimension, I can easily find them"
He was referring to the usage of his dragon's sight in this scenario.
Katherine nodded, and said "Alright. Let me know when you're ready so that we can be on our way"
That was when Aiden raised one hand. "About that, you don't have to worry about it."
Katherine's expression shifted slightly.
"First of all I'm unsure what the living conditions are in the other dimensions," Aiden continued. "Then there are other factors too like the strength of the demons there or if there are demon lords around."
He met her eyes directly. "So you should just sit and not worry. I'll deal with it myself and bring them back."
Katherine's voice cut through sharply.
"Bollocks!"
Every head in the room turned toward her.
"Demons came to my guild and took control of my members," she said, and her voice was rising now. "And when the fight came to us, I was forced to watch as they died one by one before my very eyes."
Tears rolled down her cheeks and it was clear she'd been holding them back far for a while.
"And now when the opportunity is here for me to make things right and do right by them" she gestured sharply toward the rest of the guild
"you expect me to simply sit down and watch?"
Aiden opened his mouth again but Piers stepped forward from behind Katherine before he could get a word out.
"Yes Aiden," Piers said firmly. "Everyone in this guild is family. We're not going to sit back and do nothing."
Kayden spoke up from behind Aiden with lightning streaking faintly through his eyes and his fist raised. "Demon lords or whatever demons," he said, "they better get ready for what's coming."
The guild erupted in elevated morale and voices chanted in agreement while fists pounded against tables.
Aiden looked around the room in genuine surprise.
The guild were the only people he'd told about what happened in Dellheim. The demon lords and how powerful they were and all of that.
They knew there was a possibility those same level of beings would be there yet they were still willing to take that chance to save their members.
Both his women took his hands, one on each side.
Laela spoke gently. "We understand you have our best interest at heart Aiden, but let us fight our battles too."
Aiden sighed heavily and shook his head. It was that sigh of resignation.
He looked at Katherine and nodded slightly.
Piers then asked, "How are we going to free them of the possession when we finally reach them?"
Aiden replied, "I or an avatar of mine will go with you. Any version of me have a means to eradicate the demon parasites inside them."
But as soon as he said that, a realisation hit him.
His avatars always had one overall problem and that was proximity.
If all this happened in their world there naturally wouldn't have been any problems given his avatars could go anywhere within the planet while being away from him.
But these other dimensions were different worlds entirely. He was going to have to confirm how this would work much later.
Aiden then told them, "However before we step in I'll have to inform the others in a meeting and then a proper plan for moving in can be devised."
Katherine nodded in agreement.
——
Back in his room after the guild meeting Aiden had to confirm the issue of proximity.
He made a portal to one of the dimensions and the avatar that had materialized beside him walked into it.
[Connection Between Host And The Avatar Has Gone Considerably Weak]
[The Avatar Will Only Be Able To Maintain Its Form For An Hour]
[The Further The Avatar Stretches Into The Other Dimension, The Less Time It Has]
Aiden sighed with utter disappointment written across his face. "But what about the other one in my pocket domain? I don't see us having a problem there."
[Your Pocket Domain Is More Closely Connected To You Than Any Other Dimension, Even Earth]
Aiden's eyes widened slightly but yes the system wasn't exactly wrong.
Even right here where he stood he was entirely aware of absolutely whatever changes went on within his pocket domain.
His level of awareness to it was on a different level that if a pebble moved an inch inside, he'd immediately recognize it.
Aiden sighed again. He'd planned to use his avatars for the rest of the other dimensions given the possibility that others could be split between them, but this was beginning to go differently than expected.
However, he couldn't make any further arrangements till he confirmed the dimensional locations of the others affected.

Later that night another meeting was convened within the palace on Aiden's call with instructions to come with items of those who went missing.
Everyone in attendance from the last time was present and this time they all came with a personal belonging from those in their guilds who had gone missing.
There were several avatars in the throne room as well, who alongside Aiden conducted the same methods he'd used to find Bernard and the others earlier.
It worked. He found them.
But like Laela had feared some of these people were scattered between different dimensions.
Then there was another slight problem.
Helena who was in attendance with Grandal had no personal items belonging to Lucas and Lysandra with her at the moment.
However Aiden still assured her that they would most likely be in any of the dimensions he had just found the others in and as such he was going to find them too.
Azam then asked, "How would we proceed with the rescue of these affected persons?"
It was at this point that Aiden had finally gotten an answer to the right method on how to proceed, especially now that he'd confirmed that the others were indeed scattered between dimensions. It had been narrowed it down to a total of four of them.
Aiden was going to stay here on earth to make and maintain the portals that would lead into these dimensions.
And the mages gathered here along with any others who wanted to help would be the ones to proceed inside, all divided into four teams.
These teams however would proceed inside with one avatar each.
The avatars being inside these dimensions would be able to use Dragon's Sight to scan the entire dimension's range and pinpoint where exactly the possessed mages were.
And after scanning and identifying the locations they would make new portals that would send the mages directly to the location of the possessed ones.
The avatars themselves would not risk moving any further away from the entrance points as it would reduce more time they had active or risk breaking the connection.
