My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 392: Fed Dog Food

Five minutes later.

Zhang Yuxi saw the Transformers toy and asked, "Honey, did you assemble this with Dabao?"

Lin Feng shook his head. "No, Dabao did it all by himself."

Zhang Yuxi was surprised, and Zhao Lizhen, who was sitting on the sofa, also looked taken aback.

"By himself?"

Lin Feng said with a smile, "Yeah, I didn't help! He was adamant that you had to see it when you got back, and he proudly said that he's the best!"

Zhang Yuxi's expression softened. "It's not just Dabao who's amazing—every one of our children is fantastic!"

When the children were just a few months old, she had indeed favored An An a little more because of her frail health. Even now, she still held a bit more affection for the well-behaved and sensible An An. She and Lin Feng did their best to treat each child equally, taking care of all their emotional needs.

Compared to his younger siblings, Dabao seemed rather ordinary.

Zhang Yuxi sighed. "He's become so capable without us even realizing it."

"Dabao is doing great!" Zhao Lizhen praised. She paused, then continued, "Let me tell you, An An had a progress evaluation today. Her current teacher is very responsible. An An has a unique talent in this field. We need to guide her well on how to interact with people so this gift isn't wasted."

Zhao Lizhen was beaming with a smile that reached her eyes; she couldn't have been any happier. She was still young enough to see the day An An would achieve great things.

When the couple returned to their room, they found Dabao still awake.

"Mommy?"

The couple was startled. "Dabao, you're not asleep yet?"

Dabao craned his neck, his eyes shining like they held a sea of stars.

"Mommy! Did you see my Transformers?"

Zhang Yuxi walked over. "I saw it, and Mommy thinks Dabao is super awesome!"

Dabao smiled happily.

Zhang Yuxi kissed his forehead. "Go to sleep now. Goodnight!"

"Goodnight, Mommy!"

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi glanced at each other and decided to talk outside.

Outside the door, Zhang Yuxi told Lin Feng about An An. "Her teacher guaranteed me that if nothing unexpected happens, An An will certainly become a world-famous musician."

After the initial happiness wore off, Zhang Yuxi began to worry. "Honey, this is making me feel pressured..."

Lin Feng could empathize with his wife's feelings and hugged her comfortingly. "We'll just carry on as usual. Whether she becomes a musician or not doesn't matter to me at all. I just hope all our children grow up safe and healthy."

Only after becoming parents did they truly understand. Ensuring their children were safe and healthy wasn't as simple as it sounded.

Zhang Yuxi leaned into his embrace. "You're right. Regardless of whether An An becomes a musician, we'll just keep doing what we're doing."

Nothing would change.

Zhao Lizhen came out of her room. "Hm? What are you two doing standing by the door?"

"Dabao just fell asleep," Lin Feng replied. "We were worried our talking would disturb him."

Zhao Lizhen nodded. "You two should tidy up and get to bed early, too."

"Okay, Mom."

Zhang Fuyong was sleeping at Uncle An's house tonight, so there was no need to leave the door unlocked for him.

...

「The next morning.」

Lin Feng got up to make breakfast. Life was much the same as it had been back in Yangcheng.

The previous night, he had bought tickets for a children's animated movie showing from four-thirty to five-thirty. He hadn't told the children yet.

After breakfast, when the kids heard the news, they were absolutely overjoyed. This would be their first time going to a movie theater. They had considered taking them to the movies before but had never found a suitable film. But last night, he had happened to see a movie that was perfect for them. The description said it was a story about fantasy, magic, and the bonds of family.

The film was a 2D animation that had been out for two days. The reviews were good, making it a worthwhile trip for the kids.

Technically, the quadruplets weren't tall enough to require tickets. For one child, that might be fine, but with four of them, he went ahead and bought seats for everyone.

At the cinema, Lin Feng scanned the QR code to collect the tickets while Zhang Yuxi took the children to buy popcorn and potato chips. These were treats Lin Feng usually made himself. It was their first time having popcorn; he had worried about their digestion when they were younger. For drinks, they got milk, which was suitable for the kids.

Lin Feng carried their snacks and checked the time. There were ten minutes left, and they had already started letting people in.

Once the family settled into their seats in the theater, Lin Feng distributed the snacks to the kids.

"After you finish eating, don't throw your trash on the floor. Put it all in this bag, and Dad will clean it up later, okay?"

The quadruplets replied in crisp, clear voices, "Got it!"

"Also, during the movie, no shouting or running around. That would disturb other people, understand?"

"Got it!"

Satisfied, Lin Feng leaned closer to Zhang Yuxi. "Honey, these are for you!"

Zhang Yuxi saw an assortment of small snacks meant for adults. She flashed a sweet smile. "Honey, when did you get these?"

"I prepared them a while ago. I just kept them hidden in the bag so the kids wouldn't see."

Just as Zhang Yuxi began to tear open a wrapper, Sibao's nose twitched, and he peeked over.

"Mommy, what are you eating?"

The couple exchanged glances and sighed in unison. Sigh, that kid's nose was just too sharp.

Zhang Yuxi motioned for Sibao to come closer. "Look for yourself, it's all spicy chili!"

Sibao cautiously asked, "Um, can I try just one bite?"

His caution wasn't because he was afraid his parents would say no, but because he himself was afraid of spicy food.

"Alright, try one bite," Zhang Yuxi allowed.

Sibao carefully took a bite, smacking his lips before sharply sucking in a breath of air.

Lin Feng quickly handed him a bottle of water. "Drink some water."

After taking a drink, Sibao felt he could handle another bite. "Mommy, can I try a little more?"

"..."

After Sibao went back and forth like this several times, the movie was about to start.

"Go back to your seat and watch the movie quietly," Lin Feng said with a smile.

The audience was filled with parents and their children; kids were everywhere.

The movie began. As Zhang Yuxi ate, Lin Feng took care of her.

"Honey, do you want some water?"

"Honey? Throw the trash in this bag!"

"Is it too spicy? Need a drink?"

The single woman sitting behind them silently snapped a photo and posted it to her Moments.

[At a movie for kids and I'm still being subjected to this massive PDA. So exhausting, so annoying!]

She added a comment:

[That guy keeps doting on the woman, calling her 'Honey' this and 'Honey' that. Ugh, I can't take it! [Angry.jpg]]

And another:

[The woman is so gentle, too. I snuck a peek, and she's gorgeous. The guy is also super handsome!]

Less than a minute later, she posted again.

[OMG OMG, they actually have four kids! WHAT? And the kids are super well-behaved. Their parents must be good-looking. It's too dark to see their faces, though.]

A minute after that, another post.

[Damn it, this family has completely stolen my attention! There's a little boy who just pitifully asked, "Mommy, can I have another bite? It's okay, even if it's spicy."]

[I see a true foodie in him! This little guy is definitely a foodie!]

[LMAO, the little foodie, just for a bite, kept hiding in the corner, alternating between eating and drinking water. He was gasping from the spice! It's like looking at myself eating a spicy broth hot pot!]

[The little foodie needs to go to the bathroom now. Not sure if it was the spice or all the water he drank.]

[But that's not the point! The point is, their dad is SO TALL! Here's a pic, see for yourselves!]

Comments started pouring in.

A: I bet he's definitely handsome!

B: Right? I can feel his amazing presence from here. It's incredible!

C: And his voice is super pleasant to listen to, so smooth!

D: Too bad he married young. So frustrating!

The movie was quite good. It had been released in both 3D and 2D. The 3D run had already ended, so this was the 2D version. The viewing experience would have been even better in 3D.

The woman posted again.

[They've finished their snacks, and now they're just holding hands, with her leaning on his shoulder. My future boyfriend, where are you?]

Children's movies are generally not too long. Besides, the story was quite engaging; all the children in the theater were laughing and shouting with delight, including the quadruplets.

After it ended, Lin Feng opened a trash bag. "Come on, put all your trash in here."

The woman behind them added one last post.

[Their kids are so well-mannered! They know not to litter!]

Exiting the theater, Lin Feng asked the children with a smile, "Did you like the movie?"

The quadruplets answered in unison, "Yes, it was great!"

"If there are any more good movies in the future, Mom and Dad will bring you to see them, okay?"

"Yay, yay!"

As she left the theater, the young woman posted to her Moments one more time.

[Come, come, let me show you what you call good looks!]

She uploaded a grid of nine unedited photos.
