My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 388 Husband, You're Amazing!

「The next day.」

Miao Lang asked Zhao Lizhen to bring Sanbao to his house in the evening to check on her homework and progress.

"I'm going out to run some errands. I'll take Sanbao to Master Miao's house tonight," Zhao Lizhen said as she got into the car. "You two take the kids out for a walk. I'll call if anything comes up."

Zhang Yuxi stopped her. "Mom, don't say anything to her that might stress her out!"

"Don't worry, I won't," Zhao Lizhen replied, understanding.

After Zhao Lizhen left with Sanbao, Zhang Fuyong also had to go out for some business. So, Lin Feng took his wife and children to the park for some fun.

The large park was bustling with street vendors selling all sorts of things, including the classic ring toss game. It was two yuan for fifty rings, and the prizes laid out on the ground were all sorts of cheap little toys. The fun of the game, however, wasn't about the value of the prizes.

Lin Feng bought four yuan's worth for each person in the family, giving them each a hundred rings to play with.

The children tossed their rings haphazardly, their success completely up to luck.

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi, with their height, already had an advantage. This was especially true for Lin Feng; having completed the Purification and Marrow Cleansing, how could his aim not be true?

"Don't lean your upper body over," the vendor warned Lin Feng. "Stand behind the line. No cheating."

Lin Feng understood.

The vendor grew anxious as Lin Feng won prize after prize. Meanwhile, Zhang Yuxi and the kids had already used up their hundred rings in no time.

Sibao and Dabao, both quite athletic, each managed to win something. One got a small ceramic turtle, and the other a palm-sized cup. The two of them were absolutely thrilled, brimming with a sense of achievement. But when the children looked at Lin Feng's mountain of prizes, their eyes turned green with envy.

"Wow, Dad is so awesome! He won so many things!"

"So cool! Dad is a superman!"

Zhang Yuxi had her eye on a pair of adorable ceramic doll lovers in the back row. She had liked them at first sight, but after many attempts, she hadn't even come close to ringing them. She took Lin Feng's arm. "Honey, I want those. Can you win them for me?"

"I'll give it a try," Lin Feng said.

He tossed a ring, and it landed perfectly.

Zhang Yuxi squealed with delight like a little girl and happily trotted over. "Boss, we won this one."

She held the ceramic dolls, beaming. "Honey, you're amazing!"

Erbao tugged on Lin Feng's shirt. "Dad, I want that diamond ring!"

The vendor had apparently salvaged a plastic diamond ring from a Barbie doll set. Made of glass, it sparkled beautifully in the sunlight.

"Okay, Daddy will give it a try."

Then, a direct hit.

Erbao gasped with delight. "Yay! Dad's the best!"

The vendor's face was grim, but he said nothing. After all, he didn't encounter such a skilled ring-tosser every day. The other children at the stall looked at Erbao with envy.

Wow, her dad is so cool! they seemed to think. All dads are dads, so mine can surely win one too, right?

They turned to their own fathers. "Dad, I want to win that one!"

Their dads were left speechless. Kid, your dad isn't that skilled!

Sibao wanted a keychain with a small whale charm. The little whale was tiny and adorable.

"Dad, I want that one."

"Which one?"

"The one next to the ceramic white rabbit..."

What followed was another perfect shot.

The vendor's face finally darkened, and he pursed his lips suspiciously. Are my rings too big? Or is it just his height advantage? So frustrating!

Lin Feng left the stall with a huge haul of prizes, and his family was all smiles.

Some other children, however, were crying.

"Daddy, I want that little bunny... Can you win me a little bunny, please?"

"Dad, I want that one... Please win it for me, I'm begging you!"

The fathers left behind felt the pressure mounting.

They walked a bit further and, by chance, found another ring toss stall. This one used larger rings, and the prizes were much more enticing: Transformers, Ultraman figures, and Barbie dolls. The boxes were quite large, and the toys looked impressive. It was twenty yuan for four rings, but the owner wouldn't let you leave empty-handed, giving you a small toy worth a few yuan as a consolation prize.

One father had already spent eighty yuan trying to win a Transformer for his son, but he still hadn't succeeded. Seeing his son's disappointed and heartbroken face, the man felt utterly helpless.

Dabao, Erbao, and Sibao gathered around to watch, with only Sanbao being absent.

"Dad, come toss for these! I want a Transformer!" Dabao shouted.

"I want a Barbie doll!" Erbao chimed in.

"I want the biggest Transformer!" Dabao added.

"Dad, I want that Ultraman!" cried Sibao. "Hurry, there's only one left!"

The owner smiled at them. "Then you'd better have your dad buy some rings. If he wins it, it's yours."

Remember the owner's smile at this moment, because he wouldn't be smiling for long.

Lin Feng bought twenty yuan's worth, getting four rings. The Ultraman figure was in the back row, not an easy target. Lin Feng held a ring, aimed in the air for a moment, and then threw it.

"Wow, he got it!" Sibao screamed, jumping for joy.

The owner took the used ring and handed the prize to Sibao. "Here you go, little guy. It's yours."

Lucky shot, the owner thought to himself. Got it on the first ring.

Next up was the Transformer for Dabao. There were four different ones, but one came with a unique accessory: a sword.

Dabao pointed to the one on the far end. "Dad, I want that one!"

Lin Feng moved to the edge of the stall and aimed.

Dabao stared intently at the Transformer. "Come on, Dad, you can do it!"

"Shh!" Zhang Yuxi gestured for Dabao to be quiet. "Don't distract your father."

Lin Feng threw again. Another hit!

The owner looked a bit dazed, clearly not expecting Lin Feng's 'luck' to be this good. To win twice in a row was impressive.

For the third throw, Erbao wanted a Barbie doll with blonde hair and a red dress.

Lin Feng threw.

Hit!

The smile on the owner's face froze. With so many people watching, however, he had to keep up his cheerful business facade. The crowd of onlookers was finally getting the show they'd been waiting for.

"Wow, this young man is amazing! A hit with every toss!"

"The owner must be crying on the inside! Twenty yuan and three big prizes gone, haha!"

"Let's see if he can get the last one. I bet he can't."

"I agree. Nobody can be that lucky."

But as soon as they spoke, Lin Feng's last ring sailed through the air and landed perfectly around the prize Sibao wanted.

"Dad, thank you!" Sibao said, overjoyed.

The parent who had been trying and failing for so long looked on with envy. His own child was now bawling, utterly heartbroken. The father looked at Lin Feng, his eyes pleading, but he hesitated to speak.

His son, however, acted for him, handing his last ring to Lin Feng. "Uncle, could you please help me win one?"

His little tear-streaked face was the very picture of misery.

Lin Feng took the ring. "What if I can't win it for you?"

The child wiped his tears. "That's okay! I won't be mad!"

The boy was about five or six, quite cute, and had a very endearing way of speaking.

The owner, however, stepped in, shaking his head. "No way! You have to toss your own rings. No substitutions!"

Hearing this, the boy's eyes welled up with fresh tears, and he looked ready to burst.

Lin Feng turned around and said flatly, "In that case... give me eight more rings."
