My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 314 Taking the Baby to Kindergarten

Time flies.

In the blink of an eye, the quadruplets were almost three years old. They looked much taller than their peers and seemed mature and intelligent.

August 27th was the school's registration day. Just a twenty-minute drive from their home was an international bilingual kindergarten that charged a tuition of 20,000 per semester. It was said that both parents and children had to undergo an interview during registration.

「Evening.」

Lin Feng brought the matter up with Zhang Yuxi.

"For the kids to get into this kindergarten, we all have to do an interview," he said. "They only accept 120 students per semester, and only children born before August 31st."

"Even though our kids were born on August 8th, it's not guaranteed they'll be accepted since they take so few."

Zhang Yuxi smiled. "If they don't pass the interview at this kindergarten, we can just find another one. I believe in our children; I'm sure they'll pass."

「On the day of the registration interview.」

Zhang Yuxi had taken the day off work to join Lin Feng for the big event. The quadruplets were beautifully dressed and looked adorable, while Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi had also smartened up their appearance.

When they arrived at the school, a long line of parents was already waiting. Lin Feng's number was 82, drawn randomly from the school's official WeChat account. With three interview rooms in operation, their turn came quickly.

The little girl in front of them was a bit shorter than the quadruplets and was dressed very cutely. Her mother held a clear document folder containing her child's resume. Because the folder was transparent, Lin Feng could see its contents. The child had taken dance lessons, learned Taekwondo, participated in singing, and had even won second place in a painting competition.

Very impressive!

While Lin Feng waited in line, Zhang Yuxi played games with the children nearby. Soon, it was their turn, but only one parent was allowed to accompany the children inside.

The interview was held in a room set up like a classroom, with four teachers seated at the front. They showed a hint of surprise when they saw the quadruplets.

One teacher smiled. "Children, and Dad, please have a seat."

The quadruplets obediently sat on the small stools.

"Are you quadruplets?"

The children nodded in unison.

"Can you briefly introduce yourselves so the teachers can get to know you?"

The Eldest spoke first. "My name is Lin Pingping, but people call me the Eldest. I'm three years old! My favorite things are eating and playing with toys."

The Second stood up. "My name is Lin Tuantuan, and I'm the Second. I'm three years old! I love my mom and dad the most, and also our pets, Da Bai and Fei Fei. Da Bai is a dog, and Fei Fei is a cat. They're both very well-behaved."

The Third stood up. "I'm Lin Yuanyuan, the Third. I like listening to music. I'm three." After her short introduction, she sat down.

The Fourth stood up with a grin. "My name is Lin Anan, the Fourth, and I'm three! I love to eat all kinds of delicious food, and I like Ultraman! Mom and Dad say I'm the naughtiest, but I'm actually very good!"

The teachers' eyes lit up at the sight of the four children. One of them nodded and asked, "Can you tell us what you can do?"

The Eldest said, "I can play, swim, and do Taekwondo."

The Second added, "I can sing, dance, play basketball, swim, and do Taekwondo."

The Third replied, "Same as them, but I can also sleep!"

The Third's answer was refreshingly unique among the quadruplets.

The Fourth chimed in, "I can eat, play, and do somersaults… Anything they can do, I can do too!"

Another teacher brought out a few objects.

"Now for a question. Please answer together, okay?" She held up an apple. "What is the teacher holding?"

"An apple," the children answered in unison.

"What color is it?"

"Red."

"Can you tell me what color a banana is?"

"Yellow."

"What about grapes?"

When it came to this question, the quadruplets didn't answer in unison. The Eldest said purple, and the Second said bluish-green. The Third said green, and the Fourth mentioned red ones.

The teacher smiled. "That's right! Grapes actually come in many colors, don't they? They can be green, and they can be purple."

"Let me test you again. What does 1+1 equal?"

"Two."

"And what about 4+4?"

"Eight."

These were all topics from their early education classes, where their teacher had taught them basic addition and subtraction.

Next, the teacher presented some flashcards with pictures of vegetables, fruits, numbers, and letters, asking the children to identify them one by one. The quadruplets answered everything correctly, and the teachers looked very pleased.

After that, another teacher led the children out to play, leaving one behind to speak with Lin Feng.

"Sir," she began, "could you tell us why you chose our school?"

Lin Feng thought for a moment before replying, "When I was looking for a kindergarten for my children, I researched your institution. I was very impressed with your educational philosophy and environment, so I chose to enroll them here. I hope they can have a wonderful time."

"Then, could you describe your ideal kindergarten?"

"A kindergarten should be a place where children can learn, play, and live," Lin Feng said. "In terms of learning, the teachers need to be high-quality educators who can become good friends and mentors in the children's eyes. As for activities, I hope the school provides enough space for them to be active. Regarding daily life, I hope for nutritionally balanced meals and the cultivation of good habits. I want my children to enjoy their freedom and make their own friends here. I want them to use their own strengths to overcome difficulties, improve themselves, and build self-confidence."

The teachers were quite pleased with Lin Feng's response.

"Next, I'm going to ask a few questions about your family situation. I hope you'll cooperate," the teacher continued.

Lin Feng nodded.

The teacher said, "Having four lovely little angels at once is a tremendous blessing. I'm sure many people wish for such happiness. At the same time, however, caring for four children must be very demanding. Do you and your wife raise the children yourselves, do the grandparents help, or do you have hired help?"

Lin Feng smiled faintly. "I handle the children's daily care and meals myself. We don't have any help at home."

The teachers were all surprised. Since he chose their kindergarten, his family must be well-off. Besides, judging by this father's handsome features and refined demeanor, he doesn't look like he's short on money. To raise four children hands-on like this must mean he's a very dedicated father.

The teacher then asked, "So, who do the children sleep with at night?"

Lin Feng replied, "They each sleep in their own small bed now. We've separated their beds, but they still share a room."

"Do you often take them out to play?"

"Yes, I frequently take them outdoors. I want them to be close to nature, play games they enjoy, and make new friends."

"Are the children picky eaters? Do they have any allergies or food restrictions?"

"They aren't picky, and we haven't discovered any allergies or restrictions so far."

"What time do the children wake up? Do they take naps?"

"They wake up at eight in the morning and go to bed at nine at night. They're used to taking afternoon naps."

While Lin Feng was speaking with the teacher, the children were undergoing a physical test to assess their coordination and other abilities. When they returned, they all had bright smiles on their faces.

The teacher smiled and said, "That's all for today. You and the children can go home and wait for our notification. We will send a text message with the results by noon tomorrow."

The quadruplets waved their little hands and said goodbye to the teachers.

This year, as the quadruplets enrolled in kindergarten, Jiang Chenchen was starting first grade. School registrations were in full swing.

Back at home, Zhang Yuxi asked, "What did the teachers ask about?"

Lin Feng gave her a brief summary of the interview, and Zhang Yuxi just said, "Oh."

At noon the next day, a text message from the school arrived: the quadruplets had all been accepted. The message instructed parents to come to the school for official registration at 9:00 a.m. on August 29th.

For children with local household registration, the notice listed the required documents: the original and copies of their birth certificates, household registration book, guardians' identification cards, and immunization records. The procedures were more complicated for those without local registration.

The quadruplets were all assigned to the same class.

The next day, Lin Feng would take the required documents to the school to complete the registration while Zhang Yuxi stayed home with the children.
