Realizing the guards wouldn't let them in, no matter what they said, Bai Yansheng clenched his jaw and turned away in seething anger.

"Father, wait for me!" Bai Li hurried after him.

Once inside the car, Bai Yansheng snapped, "Return home!"

The driver obeyed, waiting only until Bai Li climbed in before driving out of the private villa area.

Seated beside her father, Bai Li clutched his arm and asked unhappily, "Father, how could we just leave like this? Didn't you promise to introduce me to those wealthy madams and young ladies? We can't even get into the Hu Manor. How can I make friends with them?"

Too enraged to coax her, Bai Yansheng scolded, "Do you want to stay there and be humiliated?!"

Startled by his anger, Bai Li's complexion paled. Though her father doted on her, she knew better than to provoke him when he was in this mood.

Inside a luxurious black sedan parked near the main gate of the Hu Manor, Ke Ting turned around and reported, "Boss, Bai Yansheng and his daughter already left."

Playing with his lighter, Gui Xiaoxu coldly said in disgust, "Annoying flies. Make sure they don't appear in front of me again."

Noticing his disgust toward Bai Yansheng and Bai Li, Ke Ting responded, "Don't worry, Boss. You won't see them from now on."

"Mhm." Gui Xiaoxu nodded faintly. "Return to Shang Du City."

With that command, the driver started the engine, and seven black sedans rolled out of the Hu Manor's gate, heading toward Xi Yang Airport.

Two hours later, Bai Hanyun glanced at her phone and said with a hint of tiredness in her voice, "Elder Brother Yinqi, it's quite late now. I still need to fly to Shang Du City early tomorrow, so we should leave now."

When Hu Chaoyang heard this, he paused for a moment, then asked, "Miss Bai, are you going to attend the auction at Gu Bao Auction House?"

Bai Hanyun nodded. "Yes. Are you also attending the auction, CEO Hu?"

Hu Chaoyang shook his head. "I can't go. There are too many things to take care of at the company."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun felt a trace of pity toward him and silently decided to increase his salary. "Thank you for your hard work."

But Hu Chaoyang only shook his head and said calmly, "The Bai Group is a good training ground for me. Miss Bai, you don't need to thank me. We both get what we want from each other."

Standing beside Bai Hanyun, Jiang Yinqi noticed Bai Hanyun's sleepiness and set his empty plate on the long table. "Chaoyang, we will take our leave first."

"Sure."

Bai Hanyun gave a polite nod to Hu Chaoyang and said, "See you next time, CEO Hu."

With that, she left together with Jiang Yinqi, Hua Yuyu, and Gao Gong.

Moments later, Madam Hu hurried over, her eyes darting around as if searching for something. Couldn't find what she was searching for, Madam Hu turned to Hu Chaoyang and asked, "Where is she?"

"Who?" Hu Chaoyang asked in confusion.

"I heard that the new chairwoman of the Bai Group is here tonight. Where is she?" Madam Hu asked anxiously.

Pointing calmly to the banquet hall's entrance, Hu Chaoyang replied, "She already left with her bodyguards and Yinqi."

The instant Madam Hu heard this, she slapped her son's arm, her voice sharp with reproach. "Why did you let them go?"

Still bewildered by his mother's sudden slap, Hu Chaoyang answered, "It's late, and Miss Bai said she had an early flight to Shang Du City tomorrow."

Madam Hu's eyes brightened as she asked, "Will she attend the auction tomorrow at the Gu Bao Auction House?"

When Hu Chaoyang nodded, Madam Hu's face lit up with delight. "Great!"

Noticing something off, Hu Chaoyang narrowed his eyes and said, "Mother, I hope you won't do anything to Miss Bai tomorrow. Although I'm a member of the Hu family, she is my direct boss now."

Rolling her eyes when she heard this, Madam Hu scoffed, "Why would I do something to her? I'm just curious about your boss."

Hu Chaoyang stared at his mother, speechless and unable to believe her words.

But Madam Hu was already lost in her own thoughts and muttered excitedly, "I remember we also received an invitation to the Gu Bao Auction House's auction tomorrow…"

Seated in the passenger seat of Jiang Yinqi's sports car, Bai Hanyun frowned when she heard that. After pondering for a few seconds, she asked, "Can you lose them?"

"It's not a problem for Gao Gong. But we don't know if Attorney Jiang can do it," Hua Yuyu replied bluntly.

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun immediately turned to Jiang Yinqi. "Elder Brother Yinqi, two SUVs are following us. Can you lose them?"
