My Angel Girl

Chapter 42: The Song About Earth

The soft hum of the golden lake echoed through the air, the ripples of water catching the faint golden light from the sun in Heaven. Ere'ana stood on the shore, barefoot, her wings fluttering slightly behind her. She closed her eyes for a moment, the quiet of Heaven embracing her as she took a deep breath. There was something serene and comforting about being in this place, yet her thoughts often wandered to Earth.

It had always intrigued her, this planet filled with life, chaos, and endless possibilities. There was so much about it that was beautiful, but so much that was painful too. She felt a pull in her chest to understand it more, to sing about it, to share it with the one person she knew would listen: Kikidori.

So, with a soft smile, she lifted her chin toward the sky, her voice carrying over the golden lake like a melody woven from the very fabric of Heaven itself.

Ere'ana:

"Earth, a world so wild and free,

A place where souls can roam and see,

Mountains tall, and oceans wide,

Where moments of joy and pain collide."

Her voice danced through the air, the sound almost like a prayer to the world below. She imagined Kikidori, far away on Flame Island, perhaps listening, perhaps not. But it didn't matter. She sang for the world, for Earth, for everything that was lost and found in its strange dance.

Ere'ana:

"The sky is painted with hues so bold,

Reds and oranges, deep and cold,

The moon it rises, shining bright,

A silver beacon in the endless night."

As the song continued, she began to picture the beauty of Earth that she had seen in fleeting glimpses. She could almost feel the cool breeze that swept across the open fields, the weight of the oceans stretching out beyond the horizon, the bustle of cities, and the peaceful quiet of forests. Earth was so alive, so different from the calm, almost sterile existence of Heaven. There was both peace and chaos, but together, they made something unique and extraordinary.

Ere'ana:

"And yet beneath the beauty lies,

The struggles hidden from our eyes,

The wars that rage, the hearts that break,

The souls that wonder what's at stake."

Her voice lowered, carrying a somber note. Ere'ana had always known that Earth wasn't perfect, that even the most beautiful places were marred by pain. She had seen it when she had ventured to Earth as a child. The struggles, the lost hopes, and the dreams that seemed too far away to reach. But still, it was a place worth singing about, worth understanding.

Ere'ana:

"But still they rise, the hearts that fight,

Through storms and darkness, seeking light.

And in their eyes, there's something real,

A hope, a love, they want to feel."

Her voice lifted, strong and full of purpose. The hearts of Earth, those who struggled, who fought to find meaning in the chaos—they were the ones who made Earth what it was. Their resilience, their drive to reach for something better, gave the world its strength. That was what kept her going—knowing that even in the deepest sorrow, there was always the potential for light to break through.

Ere'ana:

"Oh, Earth, your beauty calls to me,

A land of wonder, wild and free.

Though your pain is all too real,

In your heart, love's what you feel."

She opened her eyes, and her gaze turned toward the horizon, where the sun was beginning to dip low, casting the sky in shades of lavender and pink. She didn't know if Kikidori could hear her from Flame Island, but she hoped that somehow, he could feel her words. That in the vastness of the universe, their hearts could connect through something as simple, and yet profound, as a song.

Ere'ana:

"Through rivers, fields, and skies so wide,

I see the souls who walk, side by side.

Though pain and loss may mark their way,

There's love to find, there's light to stay."

Her voice trailed off into the wind, the melody lingering for a moment before it slowly faded into the quiet of Heaven. Ere'ana let out a deep breath, her heart heavy with both the beauty and sorrow of the world below. She felt an odd sense of peace, knowing that no matter the distance between Heaven and Earth, the song she had just sung was her way of reaching out.

And perhaps, just perhaps, Kikidori would hear it too.
