Multiverse Conquest Starting from Dragon Ball

Chapter 7: MCSDB Chapter 7 Weak as a Fighter

Bardock, a character who never appeared in the main 'Dragon Ball' storyline, is a legend throughout the 'Dragon Ball' universe.

He is not only the father of the savior Kakarot but also known as the "Pioneer of History" and the "Rebel Against Fate!" He is often called the "Legendary Super Saiyan," the origin of the legend, and an "Endless Fighter!"

Jiang Chen wasn't sure whether this referred to the main 'Dragon Ball' timeline or the older version, but it was clear that in either version, Bardock was a special figure.

In the first case, he was the beginning of a series of stories, and in the latter, he was the start of a legend.

Jiang Chen never imagined that by logging into this identity, he would be directly linked to such an important figure. With this connection, some of his previously impossible plans now seemed feasible.

After all, Bardock was not just the beginning of everything, he was incredibly strong, and more importantly, Bardock was different from other Saiyans. Unlike the cold, brutal, and emotionless Saiyans, Bardock was one of the rare Saiyans who deeply cared for his comrades, his wife, and his son.

Jiang Chen had already recognized this when he first met Bardock.

"Aspara!"

"Haha, you're so grown up now."

"How have you been? Eating well?"

In a simple room, Bardock immediately picked up Jiang Chen, his voice filled with warmth.

"Bardock!"

"Aspara is so obedient. He's been helping me with cooking these days. You wouldn't believe it— Aspara has such a talent for cooking, his food tastes better than mine now!"

Gine, who was watching Bardock hold Jiang Chen, smiled as she spoke.

"Really?"

"Aspara is amazing!"

Bardock sincerely praised him.

"Aunt Gine!"

"I'm still far from that!"

Jiang Chen felt a little embarrassed.

His cooking skills— well, he had to admit, he didn't have much of a talent for it.

As one of his best options or even the best, he still planned to get close to Beerus and Whis. As long as he could manage that, not only could he complete his main mission, but he could soar to new heights.

After leaving the nutrient pod and gaining some independence, Jiang Chen began experimenting with cooking.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Planet Vegeta wasn't a place with a good culinary environment, or maybe he just wasn't cut out for it. After a year of trying, his meals could only be described with one phrase: "At least edible."

With food like that, he doubted he could offer anything to Beerus and Whis. Even if he could, he figured Beerus would probably destroy him on the spot.

Although with the dimension login's properties, Beerus' destructive powers probably wouldn't harm his core, it would still mean his game was over, and that was not the result Jiang Chen was hoping for.

So, during this time, he had already begun considering new options.

"Haha, our Aspara is getting shy now."

Seeing Jiang Chen's expression, Bardock and Gine misunderstood and shared a knowing smile.

Jiang Chen didn't bother to explain their misunderstanding. Instead, he curiously asked:

"By the way, Bardock Oji San, how come you have time to come back recently?"

He was eager to know the current timeline.

At this point, Planet Vegeta had no clear records of time. The only thing Jiang Chen knew for sure was that Nappa was born the same year as him. He still wasn't sure if this was the same Nappa and other than that, he knew nothing.

"I just finished a mission and had some free time, so I came back to check on you."

"Also, Raditz, that kid, the king assigned him to follow Vegeta."

Bardock ruffled Jiang Chen's hair and explained with a smile.

"Raditz, my brother?"

Jiang Chen's heart tightened.

Although he still didn't fully understand the timeline, Raditz joining the Vegeta Squad meant that Planet Vegeta's destruction was likely not far off— maybe a year, two years, or three years.

The only relief was that Kakarot hadn't been born yet, which meant there was still some time.

"Yeah, that kid... I'm just not sure about him. If only he was as obedient as you," Gine said with a sigh.

"By the way, Aspara, I have something for you."

"You're already three years old and a qualified warrior now. I'll probably be gone from Planet Vegeta for your birthday, so here's an early birthday gift."

Bardock smiled and threw a standard Frieza Force battle armor over to Jiang Chen.

"Thank you!"

Jiang Chen quickly accepted and expressed his gratitude.

Bardock smiled and shook his head.

Aspara was different from most Saiyans, and both he and Gine had grown to love him deeply. In less than a year, they had already started to treat him like their own child.

"Let's go, let's eat!"

"I'm really looking forward to tasting the food Aspara has made!"

Jiang Chen's thoughts were tangled, but Bardock and Gine didn't think too much about it. Bardock smiled and spoke.

The three of them then entered the room.

Saiyans were truly big eaters. Even Jiang Chen, as a child, ate an amount equal to twenty servings of Earth food. Bardock, of course, needed even more— about three hundred servings. Such a large scale of food consumption helped explain why Saiyans didn't seem to have much interest in fine dining.

After the meal, Jiang Chen pondered for a moment before finding Bardock to explain his request.

"You want a Gravity Machine?" Bardock asked, surprised.

"Yes, Bardock Oji San. Do you think it's possible to make one?" Jiang Chen asked, his tone laced with nervousness.

There was no choice. Since the best path was not an option, he had to consider other routes. And in every alternative, improving his strength was necessary.

For a Saiyan, the simplest and most direct way to increase strength was to push themselves to the brink of death and then recover. As long as it wasn't taken too far, this method was almost a foolproof way to get stronger.

Unfortunately, without Senzu Beans, without Shenron, and without the Namekians, Jiang Chen was too cautious to use this method. Near-death could easily turn into real death.

Beyond that, there was only one other option: gravity.

Normal humans might worry about how gravity machines could stunt their development, but Saiyans didn't have that problem. Even at just six or seven years old, Goten and Trunks could bounce around in a gravity machine with hundreds of times the normal gravity.

Even though Jiang Chen was only three years old, it was likely that he wouldn't have too many issues with it.

As for how to obtain gravity training equipment, that was simple. The Saiyans worked for Frieza— he could easily get an alien to custom-make one.

Though Jiang Chen couldn't do it himself, Bardock could.
