Shen Jingqi and the others gripped their weapons tightly, watching the crack vigilantly. Their hearts beat faster, sweat slid down their cheeks, dripping onto the cracked ground, making subtle sounds.

The eerie and ancient chanting was too strange.

It was an ancient mage, draped in a black robe, his face shielded by the robe's shadow, revealing only a pair of profound and mysterious eyes.
