Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Yan Xi, Remember Your Identity
Yan Xi's eyes flashed with confusion as she looked up at Yu Siting.
But Yu Siting just curved his lips in a baffled smile and released her hand in the next second.
Yan Xi withdrew her hand, puzzled.
Qin Xicheng's eyes darkened a bit; his hand holding the chopsticks visibly tensed with bulging veins, but he still restrained his emotions, serving Yan Xi with a gentle and warm face.
Yan Xi, oblivious to the emotional changes around Qin Xicheng, softly expressed her gratitude.
At the dinner, Qin Xicheng entirely took on the role of protecting Yan Xi. Since Yan Xi had to be on the operating table the next day and couldn't drink, he blocked all the alcohol for her.
When the dinner ended, Qin Xicheng was clearly drunk.
As they were leaving, someone patted Qin Xicheng on the shoulder and teased Yan Xi.
"Mr. Qin is so caring towards Miss Yan, Miss Yan should take good care of Mr. Qin when she gets back."
Yan Xi heard this and felt a touch of embarrassment in her eyes, while Qin Xicheng leaned his body slightly towards Yan Xi, placing his hand on the back of her chair. Their closeness radiated an intimate and ambiguous atmosphere.
"You all don't need to worry; Xiao Xi is gentle and kind-hearted, she will naturally take good care of me."
A layer of coldness veiled Yu Siting's handsome face, his dark eyes sinking slightly as he slowly stood up from his chair. He gave Yan Xi a glance, scoffed coldly, and strode away.
Yan Xi's face was filled with confusion; she didn't know what she did to upset him again.
Qin Xicheng had blocked a lot of drinks for her that evening, and Yan Xi was deeply grateful.
She was not good at socializing to begin with, and was almost disrupted by Yu Siting's actions. Without Qin Xicheng's support, she would've probably been too nervous to speak earlier.
"Xicheng, can you stand up?"
She bent down to check on Qin Xicheng's condition and found him in a drunken haze. She reached out to help him up from his chair by resting his arm on her shoulder and encircled his waist, exerting control as she struggled to walk towards the exit.
Yu Siting sat in his car, watching Yan Xi's hand wrapped around Qin Xicheng's waist as they staggered out, his eyes instantly darkened.
Assistant Chen, seated in the driver's cabin, felt the air pressure drop around him. He glanced at the entrance of the restaurant, swallowed nervously, and started to speak cautiously.
"President Yu, shall I help the Young Madam?"
Yu Siting withdrew his gaze from the window without any expression and gave no response.
With years of experience working by his side, Assistant Chen knew better than to hesitate and exited the car, quickly making his way toward Yan Xi.
"Young Madam, let me help you, please leave it to me."
Yan Xi, already exhausted from over four hours of surgery, found it quite hard to support Qin Xicheng. Seeing Assistant Chen offer help, she handed Qin Xicheng over to him immediately and then stopped a taxi.
Assistant Chen put Qin Xicheng in the backseat of the taxi right away.
Yan Xi then got into the front passenger seat and, after thanking Assistant Chen, she instructed the driver to drive.
"To the Four Seasons Hotel."
Assistant Chen was about to tell Yan Xi that Yu Siting was still in the car waiting for her, but she had already gotten into the taxi and left with Qin Xicheng.
Returning to the luxury car sheepishly, he felt a lethal glare shooting towards him from the backseat.
Four Seasons Hotel.
Yan Xi struggled to pull Qin Xicheng down from the taxi and to prop him up through the hotel lobby, wavering along the way. Ultimately, Qin Xicheng vomited.
The incident triggered morning sickness for Yan Xi, who was in the early stages of pregnancy.
As the Four Seasons Hotel was owned by the Qin Family, the person in charge rushed over to see Qin Xicheng drunk to the point of collapse and immediately came to help.
Qin Xicheng was swiftly assisted to a room.
The person in charge, seeing Yan Xi covered in stains from Qin Xicheng's vomiting, promptly instructed the receptionist to find Yan Xi spare clothes and led her to another guest room to clean up.
The smell on Yan Xi was truly unbearable; even after she washed and changed into clean clothes, she still couldn't stop retching, as if that horrid odor lingered on her.
"Miss Yan, why don't you stay here for the night? Our hotel has plenty of suites available," suggested the person in charge, seeing Yan Xi in such discomfort and eager to leave.
Yan Xi shook her head and retched twice, politely declining.
"I have to go to work tomorrow, and some patients' files are at home."
She said, and took a step out of the hotel.
The night breeze brushed past, slightly easing the churning feeling in her stomach.
Assistant Chen sat in the driver's seat, lifting his eyes very carefully to glance at the rearview mirror.
In the back seat, Yu Siting's gaze was frosty as he watched Yan Xi walk away, his expression so heavy it seemed water could drip from it.
He took a deep breath, not daring to let out a sound.
Yan Xi had entered the Four Seasons Hotel with Qin Xicheng for forty minutes, and she had come out in a different set of clothes, her hair damp as if she had just taken a shower.
Any adult knew what that implied.
"Drive."
Yu Siting ordered coldly.
Assistant Chen did not dare to delay and immediately started the car, quickly driving away.
Yan Xi waited by the roadside for about ten more minutes before finally hailing a taxi.
By the time she returned home, it was past midnight.
She walked into the living room, changed her shoes, and was met by an icy, handsome face.
Yan Xi froze in place, not expecting Yu Siting to be at home.
Since that incident last month, Yu Siting had refused to step foot here, even on the day he brought her back, he had not wanted to come inside.
His piercing gaze fell upon her; seeing her standing at the door with a pale face slightly startled, his expression darkened further.
"Come here."
He spoke expressionlessly, his tone carrying an irrefutable command.
Yan Xi bit her lip subtly and stepped forward, starting to ask.
"Is there something..."
Before she could finish, the man spoke again, his voice as sharp as the cold wind.
"Take off your clothes!"
Yan Xi's form trembled slightly, not understanding his reason but realizing Yu Siting's suspicions, her expression halting a bit.
"Do you suspect me of having an affair with Qin Xicheng?"
Aunt Lin, standing to the side, hurriedly tried to diffuse the situation.
"Young master, there must be some misunderstanding; the Young Madam is not that kind of frivolous woman..."
Yu Siting cut off Aunt Lin's words, his sharp voice rising again.
"Take off your clothes!"
Anger was now evident in his voice.
Yan Xi bit her lip harder, lowered her gaze, and methodically began to unbutton her shirt.
Seeing this, Aunt Lin quickly went over to pull Yan Xi's hand.
"Young Madam, don't..."
Yan Xi pushed Aunt Lin's hand away, "Aunt Lin, it's okay, we're both women, I don't mind."
Having said that, she had already finished unbuttoning her blouse and took it off.
Aunt Lin turned her gaze away, her face filled with embarrassment.
Yan Xi's fair and smooth skin was exposed to the air, and seeing that Yu Siting did not call for a halt, she turned her back to undo the buttons there.
Yu Siting watched her uncompromisingly defiant manner with a cold face, then suddenly stood up, grabbing a suit jacket from the coat rack and wrapping it around her, his eyes dark and threatening as he warned.
"Yan Xi, remember your status!"
