Chapter 30: The Betrayal
Victor's eyes widened in shock, and I could sense his anger rising to the surface.
"What do you mean, Lucas?" Victor demanded. "What secrets is the Order hiding?"
Lucas hesitated, then spoke in a rush. "I don't know everything, but I know they're planning something big. Something that could put our entire pack in danger."
I felt a surge of fear, my mind racing with possibilities. What could the Order be planning? And why would they want to hurt our pack?
Victor's expression turned cold, his eyes flashing with anger.
"You're coming with us, Lucas," Victor said, his voice low and menacing. "We'll get to the bottom of this, even if it means taking you to the leader of the Order."
Lucas's eyes widened in fear, and he took a step back, as if trying to escape.
But it was too late. Victor and I had already surrounded him, our eyes fixed on him like predators.
