Chapter 28: The Clue

Emily's Pov

As Victor and I began our investigation, we discovered a cryptic message scrawled on the wall of one of the pack's hideouts. The message read:

"The enemy is closer than you think."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I read the words. Who could have written this? And what did they mean?

Victor's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the wheels turning in his mind.

"I think I know who might have written this," he said, his voice low and serious. "Follow me."
