"I'll need Luna Orchid Extract and Avaresh Lotus Extract. Seems like this is about to be a really tough potion to make, I wonder if I can add Ever Bloom Extract to strengthen it. If the creature in the lake is a Miasmic entity, it only makes sense to add that, right?" Yvlena asked, she sighed, realizing the game frequently made her talk to herself.
"Not like anyone's around to judge me." She said, taking out the alchemy kit. There had to be more advanced upgrades for the kit, too, just like the cauldrons.
"I'll do the Avaresh Lotus Extract first." She said, setting the kit on the soft grass and sitting beside it. She took the large Lotus from her inventory and began stripping the petals gently, the same way she had done on the Avaresh docks during her time with Bavga.
"I wonder how that old hag's doing?" Yvlena muttered.

Noticing she had some leftover petals from the last time, she made a mental note to create more extract for another Water Resistant Potion.
She began crushing the petals into paste with her tools and repeating the process of extracting the liquid from the petals.

"And we aren't even done, yet." Yvlena said laying back on the grass and looking up at the sky. The break was welcome, the sight of the clouds lazily drifting through the sky put her mind at ease.
For a brief moment, Yvlena imagined she was at her grandmother's house enjoying a day outside such as this, she inhaled, allowing the scent of flowers from her garden patch to fill her nostrils.
"Okay, breaks over, Luna Orchid Extract next."
She sat up and retrieved the flower from her inventory, working to disassemble it the way she had done to the Avaresh Lotus.

Putting the rest of the parts in the inventory, Yvlena worked on crushing the petals into paste and boiling them into extract for her potion.
By the time she was done, she was due for another rest, but pushed on. The only thing left now was to make two versions of the potion.

Standing over the cauldron, she began adding the ingredients, the pot bubbled to life, heating up as she poured in the extract from her plants.
A soft herbal scent rose from the bronze cauldron, smelling better than what she imagined her first few attempts had smelled like.
Yvlena put in her final herb, Vaelindor's Cup, without giving herself a chance to study the plant. The cauldron simmered down, allowing Yvlena to claim her prize.

She added the Ever Bloom's Extract to the recipe and tossed in some more ingredients, and the rest of the extract she had prepared before hand with a focused expression. If anything could go wrong, now would be the time.

"It worked?" Yvlena blinked as she looked at the bottle in her hand, the elixir containing the Ever Bloom swished around in the bottle as she studied the faint purple liquid she had brewed. Taking the regular Purifying Elixir out of her inventory, she noted the difference in color.
The regular potion was a pale green, shimmering within the glass she had bottled it in. When the time came, she would definitely just dump both of them into the Verdant Lake.
"All that's left is for Soren to finish working on my sickle. I wonder where the next upgrade piece will be." Yvlena said once again laying back on the soft grass.
It wouldn't be long now, the Verdant Vale would be within reach, and she could ask the inhabitants of that town if they happened to see Rael.
"I already know he's dead, but it's safe to say he probably died on his journey. The question is, where?" Yvlena asked.
She couldn't imagine dying so far from home. Rael had probably thought he would have made it back in time to help Viseli and the rest of the towns people, but now that responsibility had fallen to her instead.
The urge to make Rael proud stirred within Yvlena, it didn't matter if he was a fictional character. The game felt real enough that it motivated her to help. Her mother knew her too well, creating scenarios like this, knowing Yvlena would still do her utmost to help.
"Thank you, Mom." Yvlena whispered.

"Here goes nothing." Yvlena said, knocking back another of the Relaxation Potions Risel had gifted her for being a good customer. A wave of calm washed over her, offsetting the strain potion brewing had put on her body.
The Rose Manor needed some repairs, and she had long since neglected fixing the curtains in the halls, despite Yvlena's willingness to enlist help it seemed for now that she would have to tackle a lot of the crafting herself.
Finding herself within the Rose Manor again, Yvlena went straight to the old training room to inspect her progress there.
The sight that awaited her had Yvlena gasping out loud in surprise and frustration. Due to her long absence, the area was once again covered in rust, meaning she would have to sweep and mop again before she could begin fixing up the curtains.
"Lucky I know where the cleaning utensils are!" She whined, already walking back to the kitchen closet where she had stored them after her previous use.
To her surprise, sweeping and mopping up the training room didn't take up as much time as it did before, perhaps her level had something to do with it.
"I guess stats affect every area of the game, even cleaning. I wonder if there are people renting homes in this game. I've seen that stuff before in other games." Yvlena said, soaking the linen rag in water and once again giving the Visage of the First Harvest Guardian a wipe.
"That's the preliminaries done. I should be happy, there's no way I could ever afford a manor in real life, but here I own a piece of prime, virtual real estate." Yvlena laughed, putting her cleaning tools away.
