Chapter 9 - Time Skip
A year and eight months had passed since that day. Building the Modern Kingdom was a daunting task, requiring immense hard work. Aster had to overcome numerous challenges, from establishing a functional government to creating a robust economy.
The first challenge was the oil shortage. Aster struggled to find a solution, considering renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. However, their limitations were apparent, particularly in powering heavy machinery, tanks, and airplanes. Fortunately, they discovered Manacleus-Oil, a mana-saturated oil that was environmentally friendly and lasted longer than regular oil. This breakthrough significantly improved their energy situation, allowing them to power their military equipment and infrastructure.
The next hurdle was mining. The caves were infested with monsters, from goblins to high-Orcs. The military took time to clear the mines, but the first mine they completed provided Aster with the resources to summon more soldiers. The mine's resources included iron, copper, and rare earth minerals, which were essential for building and maintaining their technology.
Aster soon realized that the special summoning tickets brought people from parallel worlds, copying them without affecting the original world. This included children and elderly individuals, who were attachments to the working people summoned.
However, the summoning process was unpredictable, and Aster described it as "completely bugged." He summoned a diverse range of individuals and groups, including:
1. Milim Nava, the Tyrant of Destruction, from the world of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime).
2. Personnel and bases from the SCP Foundation, a secret organization that specializes in containing and researching supernatural entities and objects, from the SCP Foundation universe.
3. All the normal maids from the Great Tomb of Nazarick, including the special maid Narberal, along with Grayfia, a devil from High School DxD, and Roberta, a former FARC guerrilla from Black Lagoon, who were somehow summoned together by accident. The cause of this anomaly is still unknown.
4. A parallel world S.H.I.E.L.D. agency, where Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) and her sister, Yelena Belova, work together, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
5. Flare Earlgrande Gioral, Setsuna, and Norn Clatalissa Gioral, characters from the Redo of Healer series.
6. True Darkness Dragon Nyx, a powerful dragon from an alternative world of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken.
7. Task Force 141, an elite special forces unit, including Captain John Price, John "Soap" MacTavish, Simon "Ghost" Riley, and Gary "Roach" Sanderson, from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series.
8. Shadow ninjas from an unknown universe.
9. Kijins, including Souei, Shuna, Hakurou, Kurobe, Benimaru, and Shion, from the world of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken.
10. The Seven Primordial Demons, including Guy Crimson, Carrera, Rain, Misery, Testarossa, Ultima, and Diablo, and their followers, from the world of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken.
11. Magic knights from an unknown universe, who were recruited by Ainz Ooal Gown under the command of the Imperial Star Knights.
12. Gipsy Danger, a Jaeger robot, and its pilot, Marshal Stacker, from the Pacific Rim universe.
13. Lelouch vi Britannia, the former prince of Britannia, from the Code Geass series.
14. Loid Forger, a spy and assassin, from the Spy x Family series.
15. Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, from the Godzilla franchise.
Aster stopped summoning after using 15 tickets, fearing he might accidentally summon an overwhelming number of people.
The equipment tickets provided Aster with the Red Queen A.I., an artificial intelligence system inspired by the Resident Evil series, a 10-times improved super-soldier serum, and fingerprint recognition technology for firearms. He also acquired a virtual reality world program, which allowed people to experience simulated environments for training and education.
Activating the Red Queen A.I. and launching satellites proved challenging due to the unique properties of space in this world. After three failed attempts, Aster summoned the SCP Foundation, who successfully launched the satellites and recreated the fingerprint recognition guns.
Aster ordered the disposal of firearms without fingerprint recognition technology and implemented the super-soldier serum, albeit a weaker version. He also established a capsule-based system for absorbing the serum, which required a three-week incubation period.
Aster gave the SCP Foundation full authority over the virtual world program, which allowed people to experience 15 years of training in a
simulated environment, equivalent to one month in the real world. The program was incredibly effective, and the Foundation used it to train a new generation of soldiers, scientists, and engineers.
The Foundation became responsible for shaping the future generations. Aster restructured the education system, making it nine years long, with students starting at age seven. The curriculum included a combination of traditional subjects, such as mathematics, science, and language, as well as vocational training and virtual reality-based education.
After a year and eight months of hard work, the Nova Kingdom was finally stable and thriving. The kingdom's population had grown to 384 million, and its military strength had increased to 27 million. The kingdom's resources had also increased significantly, reaching 1.7 trillion.
Aster's protection period was set to expire in four months, and he knew that he had to be prepared for any challenges that lay ahead. He continued to work tirelessly, using his unique abilities and resources to build a brighter future for his kingdom.
